Morning began to break and the sun peeped over the hill:
“What’s this?” he said. “What does it all mean? One can’t see one’s hand before one’s eyes. Morning-wind! Up with you, you sluggard2, and blow that nasty mist away!”
And the morning-wind flew across the fields and blew away the mist. At the same moment, the sun sent his first rays straight down upon the night-scented rocket.
“Hullo!” said the flower. “Here’s the sun! Now I must be quick and close my petals3. Where in the name of wonder has the mist gone to?”
“Here I am,” said the dew-drop hanging from her stalk.
