[bbe] Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace. 1:2 [hgb] 我 们 为 你 们 众 人 常 常 感 谢 神 ， 祷 告 的 时 候 提 到 你 们 。 [kjv] We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; [bbe] We give praise to God at all times for you, keeping you in memory in our prayers; 1:3 [hgb] 在 神 我 们 的 父 面 前 ， 不 住 地 记 念 你 们 因 信 心 所 作 的 工 夫 ， 因 爱 心 所 受 的 劳 苦 ， 因 盼 望 我 们 主 耶 稣 基 督 所 存 的 忍 耐 。 [kjv] Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; [bbe] Having ever in mind your work of faith and acts of love and the strength of your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father; 1:4 [hgb] 被 神 所 爱 的 弟 兄 阿 ， 我 知 道 你 们 是 蒙 拣 选 的 。 [kjv] Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. [bbe] Being conscious, my brothers, dear to God, that you have been marked out by God's purpose; 1:5 [hgb] 因 为 我 们 的 福 音 传 到 你 们 那 里 ， 不 独 在 乎 言 语 ， 也 在 乎 权 能 和 圣 灵 ， 并 充 足 的 信 心 ， 正 如 你 们 知 道 我 们 在 你 们 那 里 ， 为 你 们 的 缘 故 是 怎 样 为 人 。 [kjv] For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. [bbe] Because our good news came to you, not in word only, but in power, and in the Holy Spirit, so that you were completely certain of it; even as you saw what our behaviour to you was like from our love to you. 1:6 [hgb] 并 且 你 们 在 大 难 之 中 ， 蒙 了 圣 灵 所 赐 的 喜 乐 ， 领 受 真 道 ， 就 效 法 我 们 ， 也 效 法 了 主 。 [kjv] And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: [bbe] And you took us and the Lord as your example, after the word had come to you in much trouble, with joy in the Holy Spirit; 1:7 [hgb] 甚 至 你 们 作 了 马 其 顿 和 亚 该 亚 ， 所 有 信 主 之 人 的 榜 样 。 [kjv] So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. [bbe] So that you became an example to all those who have faith in Christ in Macedonia and Achaia. 1:8 [hgb] 因 为 主 的 道 从 你 们 那 里 已 经 传 扬 出 来 ， 你 们 向 神 的 信 心 不 但 在 马 其 顿 和 亚 该 亚 ， 就 是 在 各 处 ， 也 都 传 开 了 。 所 以 不 用 我 们 说 什 么 话 。 [kjv] For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing. [bbe] For not only was the word of the Lord sounding out from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith in God is made clear; so that we have no need to say anything. 1:9 [hgb] 因 为 他 们 自 己 已 经 报 明 我 们 是 怎 样 进 到 你 们 那 里 ， 你 们 是 怎 样 离 弃 偶 像 归 向 神 ， 要 服 事 那 又 真 又 活 的 神 ， [kjv] For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; [bbe] For they themselves give the news of how we came among you; and how you were turned from images to God, to the worship of a true and living God, 1:10 [hgb] 等 候 他 儿 子 从 天 降 临 ， 就 是 他 从 死 里 复 活 的 ， 那 位 救 我 们 脱 离 将 来 忿 怒 的 耶 稣 。 [kjv] And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. [bbe] Waiting for his Son from heaven, who came back from the dead, even Jesus, our Saviour from the wrath to come. Chapter 2 2:1 [hgb] 弟 兄 们 ， 你 们 自 己 原 晓 得 我 们 进 到 你 们 那 里 ， 并 不 是 徒 然 的 。 [kjv] For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain: [bbe] For you yourselves, brothers, are conscious that our coming among you was not without effect: 2:2 [hgb] 我 们 从 前 在 腓 立 比 被 害 受 辱 ， 这 是 你 们 知 道 的 。 然 而 还 是 靠 我 们 的 神 放 开 胆 量 ， 在 大 争 战 中 把 神 的 福 音 传 给 你 们 。 [kjv] But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention. [bbe] But after we had first undergone much pain and been cruelly attacked as you saw, at Philippi, by the help of God we gave you the good news without fear, though everything was against us. 2:3 [hgb] 我 们 的 劝 勉 ， 不 是 出 于 错 误 ， 不 是 出 于 污 秽 ， 也 不 是 用 诡 诈 。 [kjv] For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: [bbe] For our witness does not come from error or from an unclean heart or from deceit: 2:4 [hgb] 但 神 既 然 验 中 了 我 们 ， 把 福 音 托 付 我 们 ， 我 们 就 照 样 讲 ， 不 是 要 讨 人 喜 欢 ， 乃 是 要 讨 那 察 验 我 们 心 的 神 喜 欢 。 [kjv] But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. [bbe] But even as the good news was given to us by the approval of God, so we give it out; not as pleasing men, but God by whom our hearts are tested. 2:5 [hgb] 因 为 我 们 从 来 没 有 用 过 谄 媚 的 话 ， 这 是 你 们 知 道 的 。 也 没 有 藏 着 贪 心 ， 这 是 神 可 以 作 见 证 的 。 [kjv] For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness: [bbe] For it is common knowledge among you that we never made use of smooth-sounding false words, and God is witness that at no time were we secretly desiring profit for ourselves, 2:6 [hgb] 我 们 作 基 督 的 使 徒 ， 虽 然 可 以 叫 人 尊 重 ， 却 没 有 向 你 们 或 向 别 人 求 荣 耀 ， [kjv] Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. [bbe] Or looking for glory from men, from you or from others, when we might have made ourselves a care to you as Apostles of Christ. 2:7 [hgb] 只 在 你 们 中 间 存 心 温 柔 ， 如 同 母 亲 乳 养 自 己 的 孩 子 。 [kjv] But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children: [bbe] But we were gentle among you, like a woman caring for her little ones: 2:8 [hgb] 我 们 既 是 这 样 爱 你 们 ， 不 但 愿 意 将 神 的 福 音 给 你 们 ， 连 自 己 的 性 命 也 愿 意 给 你 们 ， 因 你 们 是 我 们 所 疼 爱 的 。 [kjv] So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us. [bbe] Even so, being full of loving desire for you, we took delight in giving you not only God's good news, but even our lives, because you were dear to us. 2:9 [hgb] 弟 兄 们 ， 你 们 记 念 我 们 的 辛 苦 劳 碌 ， 昼 夜 作 工 ， 传 神 的 福 音 给 你 们 ， 免 得 叫 你 们 一 人 受 累 。 [kjv] For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God. [bbe] For you have the memory, my brothers, of our trouble and care; how, working night and day, so that we might not be a trouble to any of you, we gave you the good news of God. 2:10 [hgb] 我 们 向 你 们 信 主 的 人 ， 是 何 等 圣 洁 ， 公 义 ， 无 可 指 摘 ， 有 你 们 作 见 证 ， 也 有 神 作 见 证 。 [kjv] Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: [bbe] You are witnesses, with God, how holy and upright and free from all evil was our way of life among you who have faith; 2:11 [hgb] 你 们 也 晓 得 我 们 怎 样 劝 勉 你 们 ， 安 慰 你 们 ， 嘱 咐 你 们 各 人 ， 好 像 父 亲 待 自 己 的 儿 女 一 样 。 [kjv] As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children, [bbe] Even as you saw how, like a father with his children, we were teaching and comforting you all, and giving witness, 2:12 [hgb] 要 叫 你 们 行 事 对 得 起 那 召 你 们 进 他 国 得 他 荣 耀 的 神 。 [kjv] That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. [bbe] So that your lives might be pleasing to God, who has given you a part in his kingdom and his glory. 2:13 [hgb] 为 此 ， 我 们 也 不 住 地 感 谢 神 ， 因 你 们 听 见 我 们 所 传 神 的 道 ， 就 领 受 了 ， 不 以 为 是 人 的 道 ， 乃 以 为 是 神 的 道 。 这 道 实 在 是 神 的 ， 并 且 运 行 在 你 们 信 主 的 人 心 中 。 [kjv] For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. [bbe] And for this cause we still give praise to God, that, when the word came to your ears through us, you took it, not as the word of man, but, as it truly is, the word of God, which has living power in you who have faith. 2:14 [hgb] 弟 兄 们 ， 你 们 曾 效 法 犹 太 中 ， 在 基 督 耶 稣 里 神 的 各 教 会 。 因 为 你 们 也 受 了 本 地 人 的 苦 害 ， 像 他 们 受 了 犹 太 人 的 苦 害 一 样 。 [kjv] For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: [bbe] For you, my brothers, took as your examples the churches of God which are in Judaea in Christ Jesus; because you underwent the same things from your countrymen as they did from the Jews; 2:15 [hgb] 这 犹 太 人 杀 了 主 耶 稣 和 先 知 ， 又 把 我 们 赶 出 去 。 他 们 不 得 神 的 喜 悦 ， 且 与 众 人 为 敌 。 [kjv] Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: [bbe] Who put to death the Lord Jesus and the prophets, violently driving us out; who are unpleasing to God and against all men; 2:16 [hgb] 不 许 我 们 传 道 给 外 邦 人 使 外 邦 人 得 救 ， 常 常 充 满 自 己 的 罪 恶 。 神 的 忿 怒 临 在 他 们 身 上 已 经 到 了 极 处 。 [kjv] Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost. [bbe] Who, to make the measure of their sins complete, kept us from giving the word of salvation to the Gentiles: but the wrath of God is about to come on them in the fullest degree. 2:17 [hgb] 弟 兄 们 ， 我 们 暂 时 与 你 们 离 别 ， 是 面 目 离 别 ， 心 里 却 不 离 别 ， 我 们 极 力 地 想 法 子 ， 很 愿 意 见 你 们 的 面 。 [kjv] But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire. [bbe] But we, my brothers, being away from you for a short time, in body but not in heart, had all the more desire to see your face; 2:18 [hgb] 所 以 我 们 有 意 到 你 们 那 里 ， 我 保 罗 有 一 两 次 要 去 ， 只 是 撒 但 阻 挡 了 我 们 。 [kjv] Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us. [bbe] For which reason we made attempts to come to you, even I, Paul, once and again; but Satan kept us from coming. 2:19 [hgb] 我 们 的 盼 望 和 喜 乐 ， 并 所 夸 的 冠 冕 ， 是 什 么 呢 ？ 岂 不 是 我 们 主 耶 稣 来 的 时 候 ， 你 们 在 他 面 前 站 立 得 住 吗 ？ [kjv] For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? [bbe] For what is our hope or joy or crown of glory? Are not even you, before our Lord Jesus, at his coming? 2:20 [hgb] 因 为 你 们 就 是 我 们 的 荣 耀 ， 我 们 的 喜 乐 。 [kjv] For ye are our glory and joy. [bbe] For you are our glory and our joy. Chapter 3 3:1 [hgb] 我 们 既 不 能 再 忍 ， 就 愿 意 独 自 等 在 雅 典 。 [kjv] Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone; [bbe] At last our desire to have news of you was so strong that, while we ourselves were waiting at Athens, 3:2 [hgb] 打 发 我 们 的 兄 弟 在 基 督 福 音 上 作 神 执 事 的 提 摩 太 前 去 ， （ 作 神 执 事 的 有 古 卷 作 与 神 同 工 的 ） 坚 固 你 们 ， 并 在 你 们 所 信 的 道 上 劝 慰 你 们 。 [kjv] And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith: [bbe] We sent Timothy, our brother and God's servant in the good news of Christ, to give you strength and comfort in your faith; 3:3 [hgb] 免 得 有 人 被 诸 般 患 难 摇 动 。 因 为 你 们 自 己 知 道 我 们 受 患 难 原 是 命 定 的 。 [kjv] That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto. [bbe] So that no man might be moved by these troubles; because you see that these things are part of God's purpose for us. 3:4 [hgb] 我 们 在 你 们 那 里 的 时 候 ， 预 先 告 诉 你 们 ， 我 们 必 受 患 难 ， 以 后 果 然 应 验 了 ， 你 们 也 知 道 。 [kjv] For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know. [bbe] And when we were with you, we said to you that trouble was before us; and so it came about, as you see. 3:5 [hgb] 为 此 ， 我 既 不 能 再 忍 ， 就 打 发 人 去 ， 要 晓 得 你 们 的 信 心 如 何 ， 恐 怕 那 诱 惑 人 的 到 底 诱 惑 了 你 们 ， 叫 我 们 的 劳 苦 归 于 徒 然 。 [kjv] For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain. [bbe] For this reason, when I was no longer able to keep quiet, I sent to get news of your faith, fearing that you might be tested by the Evil One and that our work might come to nothing. 3:6 [hgb] 但 提 摩 太 刚 才 从 你 们 那 里 回 来 ， 将 你 们 信 心 和 爱 心 的 好 消 息 报 给 我 们 ， 又 说 你 们 常 常 记 念 我 们 ， 切 切 地 想 见 我 们 ， 如 同 我 们 想 见 你 们 一 样 。 [kjv] But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you: [bbe] But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has given us good news of your faith and love, and that you have happy memories of us, desiring greatly to see us, even as we do to see you; 3:7 [hgb] 所 以 弟 兄 们 ， 我 们 在 一 切 困 苦 患 难 之 中 ， 因 着 你 们 的 信 心 就 得 了 安 慰 。 [kjv] Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: [bbe] For this cause, brothers, in all our trouble and grief we were comforted about you because of your faith; 3:8 [hgb] 你 们 若 靠 主 站 立 得 稳 ， 我 们 就 活 了 。 [kjv] For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. [bbe] For it is life to us if you keep your faith in the Lord unchanged. 3:9 [hgb] 我 们 在 神 面 前 ， 因 着 你 们 甚 是 喜 乐 ， 为 这 一 切 喜 乐 ， 可 用 何 等 的 感 谢 ， 为 你 们 报 答 神 呢 ？ [kjv] For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God; [bbe] For how great is the praise which we give to God for you, and how great the joy with which we are glad because of you before our God; 3:10 [hgb] 我 们 昼 夜 切 切 地 祈 求 ， 要 见 你 们 的 面 ， 补 满 你 们 信 心 的 不 足 。 [kjv] Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? [bbe] Night and day requesting God again and again that we may see your face and make your faith complete. 3:11 [hgb] 愿 神 我 们 的 父 ， 和 我 们 的 主 耶 稣 ， 一 直 引 领 我 们 到 你 们 那 里 去 。 [kjv] Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. [bbe] Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus make a way for us to come to you; 3:12 [hgb] 又 愿 主 叫 你 们 彼 此 相 爱 的 心 ， 并 爱 众 人 的 心 ， 都 能 增 长 ， 充 足 ， 如 同 我 们 爱 你 们 一 样 。 [kjv] And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: [bbe] And the Lord give you increase of love in fullest measure to one another and to all men, even as our love to you; 3:13 [hgb] 好 使 你 们 ， 当 我 们 主 耶 稣 同 他 众 圣 徒 来 的 时 候 ， 在 我 们 父 神 面 前 ， 心 里 坚 固 ， 成 为 圣 洁 ， 无 可 责 备 。 [kjv] To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. [bbe] So that your hearts may be strong and free from all sin before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints. Chapter 4 4:1 [hgb] 弟 兄 们 ， 我 还 有 话 说 。 我 们 靠 着 主 耶 稣 求 你 们 ， 劝 你 们 ， 你 们 既 然 受 了 我 们 的 教 训 ， 知 道 该 怎 样 行 ， 可 以 讨 神 的 喜 悦 ， 就 要 照 你 们 现 在 所 行 的 ， 更 加 勉 励 。 [kjv] Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. [bbe] And last of all, the prayer which we make to you from our heart and in the name of the Lord Jesus, is this: that as we made clear to you what sort of behaviour is pleasing to God, as in fact you are doing now, so you will go on in these ways, but more and more. 4:2 [hgb] 你 们 原 晓 得 我 们 凭 主 耶 稣 传 给 你 们 什 么 命 令 。 [kjv] For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. [bbe] Because you have in mind the orders we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 4:3 [hgb] 神 的 旨 意 就 是 要 你 们 成 为 圣 洁 ， 远 避 淫 行 。 [kjv] For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: [bbe] For the purpose of God for you is this: that you may be holy, and may keep yourselves from the desires of the flesh; 4:4 [hgb] 要 你 们 各 人 晓 得 怎 样 用 圣 洁 尊 贵 ， 守 着 自 己 的 身 体 。 [kjv] That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; [bbe] So that every one of you may keep his body holy and in honour; 4:5 [hgb] 不 放 纵 私 欲 的 邪 情 ， 像 那 不 认 识 神 的 外 邦 人 。 [kjv] Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: [bbe] Not in the passion of evil desires, like the Gentiles, who have no knowledge of God; 4:6 [hgb] 不 要 一 个 人 在 这 事 上 越 分 ， 欺 负 他 的 弟 兄 。 因 为 这 一 类 的 事 ， 主 必 报 应 ， 正 如 我 预 先 对 你 们 说 过 ， 又 切 切 嘱 咐 你 们 的 。 [kjv] That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. [bbe] And that no man may make attempts to get the better of his brother in business: for the Lord is the judge in all these things, as we said to you before and gave witness. 4:7 [hgb] 神 召 我 们 ， 本 不 是 要 我 们 沾 染 污 秽 ， 乃 是 要 我 们 成 为 圣 洁 。 [kjv] For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. [bbe] Because it is God's purpose that our way of life may be not unclean but holy. 4:8 [hgb] 所 以 那 弃 绝 的 ， 不 是 弃 绝 人 ， 乃 是 弃 绝 那 赐 圣 灵 给 你 们 的 神 。 [kjv] He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. [bbe] Whoever, then, goes against this word, goes against not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you. 4:9 [hgb] 论 到 弟 兄 们 相 爱 ， 不 用 人 写 信 给 你 们 ， 因 为 你 们 自 己 蒙 了 神 的 教 训 ， 叫 你 们 彼 此 相 爱 。 [kjv] But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. [bbe] But about loving the brothers, there is no need for me to say anything to you in this letter: for you have the teaching of God that love for one another is right and necessary; 4:10 [hgb] 你 们 向 马 其 顿 全 地 的 众 弟 兄 ， 固 然 是 这 样 行 ， 但 我 劝 弟 兄 们 要 更 加 勉 励 。 [kjv] And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; [bbe] And, truly, you are lovers of all the brothers in Macedonia; but it is our desire that your love may be increased still more; 4:11 [hgb] 又 要 立 志 作 安 静 人 ， 办 自 己 的 事 ， 亲 手 作 工 ， 正 如 我 们 从 前 所 吩 咐 你 们 的 。 [kjv] And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; [bbe] And that you may take pride in being quiet and doing your business, working with your hands as we gave you orders; 4:12 [hgb] 叫 你 们 可 以 向 外 人 行 事 端 正 ， 自 己 也 就 没 有 什 么 缺 乏 了 。 [kjv] That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. [bbe] That you may be respected by those who are outside, and may have need of nothing. 4:13 [hgb] 论 到 睡 了 的 人 ， 我 们 不 愿 意 弟 兄 们 不 知 道 ， 恐 怕 你 们 忧 伤 ， 像 那 些 没 有 指 望 的 人 一 样 。 [kjv] But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. [bbe] But it is our desire, brothers, that you may be certain about those who are sleeping; so that you may have no need for sorrow, as others have who are without hope. 4:14 [hgb] 我 们 若 信 耶 稣 死 而 复 活 了 ， 那 已 经 在 耶 稣 里 睡 了 的 人 ， 神 也 必 将 他 与 耶 稣 一 同 带 来 。 [kjv] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. [bbe] For if we have faith that Jesus underwent death and came back again, even so those who are sleeping will come again with him by God's power. 4:15 [hgb] 我 们 现 在 照 主 的 话 告 诉 你 们 一 件 事 。 我 们 这 活 着 还 存 留 到 主 降 临 的 人 ， 断 不 能 在 那 已 经 睡 了 的 人 之 先 。 [kjv] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. [bbe] For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are still living at the coming of the Lord, will not go before those who are sleeping. 4:16 [hgb] 因 为 主 必 亲 自 从 天 降 临 ， 有 呼 叫 的 声 音 ， 和 天 使 长 的 声 音 ， 又 有 神 的 号 吹 响 。 那 在 基 督 里 死 了 的 人 必 先 复 活 。 [kjv] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [bbe] Because the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a word of authority, with the voice of the chief angel, with the sound of a horn: and the dead in Christ will come to life first; 4:17 [hgb] 以 后 我 们 这 活 着 还 存 留 的 人 ， 必 和 他 们 一 同 被 提 到 云 里 ， 在 空 中 与 主 相 遇 。 这 样 ， 我 们 就 要 和 主 永 远 同 在 。 [kjv] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. [bbe] Then we who are still living will be taken up together with them into the clouds to see the Lord in the air: and so will we be for ever with the Lord. 4:18 [hgb] 所 以 你 们 当 用 这 些 话 彼 此 劝 慰 。 [kjv] Wherefore comfort one another with these words. [bbe] So then, give comfort to one another with these words. Chapter 5 5:1 [hgb] 弟 兄 们 ， 论 到 时 候 日 期 ， 不 用 写 信 给 你 们 。 [kjv] But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. [bbe] But about the times and their order, my brothers, there is no need for me to say anything to you. 5:2 [hgb] 因 为 你 们 自 己 明 明 晓 得 ， 主 的 日 子 来 到 ， 好 像 夜 间 的 贼 一 样 。 [kjv] For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. [bbe] For you yourselves have the knowledge that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 5:3 [hgb] 人 正 说 平 安 稳 妥 的 时 候 ， 灾 祸 忽 然 临 到 他 们 ， 如 同 产 难 临 到 怀 胎 的 妇 人 一 样 ， 他 们 绝 不 能 逃 脱 。 [kjv] For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. [bbe] When they say, There is peace and no danger, then sudden destruction will come on them, as birth-pains on a woman with child; and they will not be able to get away from it. 5:4 [hgb] 弟 兄 们 ， 你 们 却 不 在 黑 暗 里 ， 叫 那 日 子 临 到 你 们 像 贼 一 样 。 [kjv] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. [bbe] But you, my brothers, are not in the dark, for that day to overtake you like a thief: 5:5 [hgb] 你 们 都 是 光 明 之 子 ， 都 是 白 昼 之 子 ， 我 们 不 是 属 黑 夜 的 ， 也 不 是 属 幽 暗 的 。 [kjv] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. [bbe] For you are all sons of light and of the day: we are not of the night or of the dark. 5:6 [hgb] 所 以 我 们 不 要 睡 觉 ， 像 别 人 一 样 ， 总 要 儆 醒 谨 守 。 [kjv] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. [bbe] So then, let us not take our rest as the others do, but let us be self-controlled and awake. 5:7 [hgb] 因 为 睡 了 的 人 是 在 夜 间 睡 。 醉 了 的 人 是 在 夜 间 醉 。 [kjv] For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. [bbe] For those who are sleeping do so in the night; and those who are the worse for drink are so in the night; 5:8 [hgb] 但 我 们 既 然 属 乎 白 昼 ， 就 应 当 谨 守 ， 把 信 和 爱 当 作 护 心 镜 遮 胸 。 把 得 救 的 盼 望 当 作 头 盔 戴 上 。 [kjv] But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. [bbe] But let us, who are of the day, be serious, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and on our heads, the hope of salvation. 5:9 [hgb] 因 为 神 不 是 预 定 我 们 受 刑 ， 乃 是 预 定 我 们 借 着 我 们 主 耶 稣 基 督 得 救 。 [kjv] For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, [bbe] For God's purpose for us is not wrath, but salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 5:10 [hgb] 他 替 我 们 死 ， 叫 我 们 无 论 醒 着 睡 着 ， 都 与 他 同 活 。 [kjv] Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. [bbe] Who was put to death for us, so that, awake or sleeping, we may have a part in his life. 5:11 [hgb] 所 以 你 们 该 彼 此 劝 慰 ， 互 相 建 立 ， 正 如 你 们 素 常 所 行 的 。 [kjv] Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. [bbe] So then, go on comforting and building up one another, as you have been doing. 5:12 [hgb] 弟 兄 们 ， 我 们 劝 你 们 敬 重 那 在 你 们 中 间 劳 苦 的 人 ， 就 是 在 主 里 面 治 理 你 们 ， 劝 戒 你 们 的 。 [kjv] And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; [bbe] But we make this request to you, my brothers: give attention to those who are working among you, who are over you in the Lord to keep order among you; 5:13 [hgb] 又 因 他 们 所 作 的 工 ， 用 爱 心 格 外 尊 重 他 们 ， 你 们 也 要 彼 此 和 睦 。 [kjv] And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. [bbe] And have a high opinion of them in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. 5:14 [hgb] 我 们 又 劝 弟 兄 们 ， 要 警 戒 不 守 规 矩 的 人 。 勉 励 灰 心 的 人 。 扶 助 软 弱 的 人 。 也 要 向 众 人 忍 耐 。 [kjv] Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. [bbe] And our desire is that you will keep control over those whose lives are not well ordered, giving comfort to the feeble-hearted, supporting those with little strength, and putting up with much from all. 5:15 [hgb] 你 们 要 谨 慎 ， 无 论 是 谁 都 不 可 以 恶 报 恶 。 或 是 彼 此 相 待 ， 或 是 待 众 人 ， 常 要 追 求 良 善 。 [kjv] See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. [bbe] Let no one give evil for evil; but ever go after what is good, for one another and for all. 5:16 [hgb] 要 常 常 喜 乐 。 [kjv] Rejoice evermore. [bbe] Have joy at all times. 5:17 [hgb] 不 住 地 祷 告 。 [kjv] Pray without ceasing. [bbe] Keep on with your prayers. 5:18 [hgb] 凡 事 谢 恩 。 因 为 这 是 神 在 基 督 耶 稣 里 向 你 们 所 定 的 旨 意 。 [kjv] In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. [bbe] In everything give praise: for this is the purpose of God in Christ Jesus for you. 5:19 [hgb] 不 要 消 灭 圣 灵 的 感 动 。 [kjv] Quench not the Spirit. [bbe] Do not put out the light of the Spirit; 5:20 [hgb] 不 要 藐 视 先 知 的 讲 论 。 [kjv] Despise not prophesyings. [bbe] Do not make little of the words of the prophets; 5:21 [hgb] 但 要 凡 事 察 验 。 善 美 的 要 持 守 。 [kjv] Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. [bbe] Let all things be tested; keep to what is good; 5:22 [hgb] 各 样 的 恶 事 要 禁 戒 不 作 。 [kjv] Abstain from all appearance of evil. [bbe] Keep from every form of evil. 5:23 [hgb] 愿 赐 平 安 的 神 ， 亲 自 使 你 们 全 然 成 圣 。 又 愿 你 们 的 灵 ， 与 魂 ， 与 身 子 ， 得 蒙 保 守 ， 在 我 主 耶 稣 基 督 降 临 的 时 候 ， 完 全 无 可 指 摘 。 [kjv] And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. [bbe] And may the God of peace himself make you holy in every way; and may your spirit and soul and body be free from all sin at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 5:24 [hgb] 那 召 你 们 的 本 是 信 实 的 ， 他 必 成 就 这 事 。 [kjv] Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. [bbe] God, by whom you have been marked out in his purpose, is unchanging and will make it complete. 5:25 [hgb] 请 弟 兄 们 为 我 们 祷 告 。 [kjv] Brethren, pray for us. [bbe] Brothers, keep us in mind in your prayers. 5:26 [hgb] 与 众 弟 兄 亲 嘴 问 安 务 要 圣 洁 。 [kjv] Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss. [bbe] Give all the brothers a holy kiss. 5:27 [hgb] 我 指 着 主 嘱 咐 你 们 ， 要 把 这 信 念 给 众 弟 兄 听 。 [kjv] I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren. [bbe] I give orders in the name of the Lord that all the brothers are to be present at the reading of this letter. 5:28 [hgb] 愿 我 主 耶 稣 基 督 的 恩 常 与 你 们 同 在 。 [kjv] The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
