Chapter 1
1:1 [hgb]  奉 我 们 救 主 神 ， 和 我 们 的 盼 望 基 督 耶 稣 之 命 ， 作 基 督 耶 稣 使 徒 的 保 罗 ，      [kjv]  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;     [bbe]  Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, by the order of God our Saviour and Christ Jesus our hope; 1:2 [hgb]  写 信 给 那 因 信 主 作 我 真 儿 子 的 提 摩 太 。 愿 恩 惠 怜 悯 平 安 ， 从 父 神 和 我 们 主 基 督 耶 稣 ， 归 与 你 。      [kjv]  Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.     [bbe]  To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 1:3 [hgb]  我 往 马 其 顿 去 的 时 候 ， 曾 劝 你 仍 住 在 以 弗 所 ， 好 嘱 咐 那 几 个 人 ， 不 可 传 异 教 ，      [kjv]  As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,     [bbe]  It was my desire, when I went on into Macedonia, that you might make a stop at Ephesus, to give orders to certain men not to put forward a different teaching, 1:4 [hgb]  也 不 可 听 从 荒 渺 无 凭 的 话 语 ， 和 无 穷 的 家 谱 。 这 等 事 只 生 辩 论 ， 并 不 发 明 神 在 信 上 所 立 的 章 程 。      [kjv]  Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.     [bbe]  Or to give attention to stories and long lists of generations, from which come questionings and doubts, in place of God's ordered way of life which is in faith; 1:5 [hgb]  但 命 令 的 总 归 就 是 爱 。 这 爱 是 从 清 洁 的 心 ， 和 无 亏 的 良 心 ， 无 伪 的 信 心 ， 生 出 来 的 。      [kjv]  Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:     [bbe]  But the effect of the order is love coming from a clean heart, and a knowledge of what is right, and true faith: 1:6 [hgb]  有 人 偏 离 这 些 ， 反 去 讲 虚 浮 的 话 。      [kjv]  From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;     [bbe]  From which some have been turned away, giving themselves to foolish talking; 1:7 [hgb]  想 要 作 教 法 师 ， 却 不 明 白 自 己 所 讲 说 的 ， 所 论 定 的 。      [kjv]  Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.     [bbe]  Desiring to be teachers of the law, though they have no knowledge of what they say or of the statements which they make so certainly. 1:8 [hgb]  我 们 知 道 律 法 原 是 好 的 ， 只 要 人 用 得 合 宜 。      [kjv]  But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;     [bbe]  We are conscious that the law is good, if a man makes a right use of it, 1:9 [hgb]  因 为 律 法 不 是 为 义 人 设 立 的 ， 乃 是 为 不 法 和 不 服 的 ， 不 虔 诚 和 犯 罪 的 ， 不 圣 洁 和 恋 世 俗 的 ， 弑 父 母 和 杀 人 的 ，      [kjv]  Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,     [bbe]  With the knowledge that the law is made, not for the upright man, but for those who have no respect for law and order, for evil men and sinners, for the unholy and those who have no religion, for those who put their fathers or mothers to death, for takers of life, 1:10 [hgb]  行 淫 和 亲 男 色 的 ， 抢 人 口 和 说 谎 话 的 ， 并 起 假 誓 的 ， 或 是 为 别 样 敌 正 道 的 事 设 立 的 。      [kjv]  For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;     [bbe]  For those who go after loose women, for those with unnatural desires, for those who take men prisoners, who make false statements and false oaths, and those who do any other things against the right teaching, 1:11 [hgb]  这 是 照 着 可 称 颂 之 神 交 托 我 荣 耀 福 音 说 的 。      [kjv]  According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.     [bbe]  Which may be seen in the good news of the glory of the great God, which was given into my care. 1:12 [hgb]  我 感 谢 那 给 我 力 量 的 ， 我 们 主 基 督 耶 稣 ， 因 他 以 我 有 忠 心 ， 派 我 服 事 他 。      [kjv]  And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;     [bbe]  I give praise to him who gave me power, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he took me to be true, making me his servant, 1:13 [hgb]  我 从 前 是 亵 渎 神 的 ， 逼 迫 人 的 ， 侮 慢 人 的 。 然 而 我 还 蒙 了 怜 悯 ， 因 我 是 不 信 不 明 白 的 时 候 而 作 的 。      [kjv]  Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.     [bbe]  Though I had said violent words against God, and done cruel acts, causing great trouble: but I was given mercy, because I did it without knowledge, not having faith; 1:14 [hgb]  并 且 我 主 的 恩 是 格 外 丰 盛 ， 使 我 在 基 督 耶 稣 里 有 信 心 和 爱 心 。      [kjv]  And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.     [bbe]  And the grace of our Lord was very great, with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 1:15 [hgb]  基 督 耶 稣 降 世 ， 为 要 拯 救 罪 人 。 这 话 是 可 信 的 ， 是 十 分 可 佩 服 的 。 在 罪 人 中 我 是 个 罪 魁 。      [kjv]  This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.     [bbe]  It is a true saying, in which all may put their faith, that Christ Jesus came into the world to give salvation to sinners, of whom I am the chief: 1:16 [hgb]  然 而 我 蒙 了 怜 悯 ， 是 因 耶 稣 基 督 要 在 我 这 罪 魁 身 上 ， 显 明 他 一 切 的 忍 耐 ， 给 后 来 信 他 得 永 生 的 人 作 榜 样 。      [kjv]  Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.     [bbe]  But for this reason I was given mercy, so that in me, the chief of sinners, Jesus Christ might make clear all his mercy, as an example to those who in the future would have faith in him to eternal life. 1:17 [hgb]  但 愿 尊 贵 ， 荣 耀 归 与 那 不 能 朽 坏 不 能 看 见 永 世 的 君 王 ， 独 一 的 神 ， 直 到 永 永 远 远 。 阿 们 。      [kjv]  Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.     [bbe]  Now to the King eternal, ever-living, unseen, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. So be it. 1:18 [hgb]  我 儿 提 摩 太 阿 ， 我 照 从 前 指 着 你 的 预 言 ， 将 这 命 令 交 托 你 ， 叫 你 因 此 可 以 打 那 美 好 的 仗 。      [kjv]  This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;     [bbe]  This order I give to you, Timothy my son, in harmony with the words of the prophets about you, so that by them you may be strong, fighting the good fight, 1:19 [hgb]  常 存 信 心 ， 和 无 亏 的 良 心 。 有 人 丢 弃 良 心 ， 就 在 真 道 上 如 同 船 破 坏 了 一 般 。      [kjv]  Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:     [bbe]  Keeping faith, and being conscious of well-doing; for some, by not doing these things, have gone wrong in relation to the faith: 1:20 [hgb]  其 中 有 许 米 乃 和 亚 力 山 大 。 我 已 经 把 他 们 交 给 撒 但 ， 使 他 们 受 责 罚 ， 就 不 再 谤 渎 了 。      [kjv]  Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.     [bbe]  Such are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have given up to Satan, so that they may say no more evil words against God. 
Chapter 2
2:1 [hgb]  我 劝 你 第 一 要 为 万 人 恳 求 祷 告 ， 代 求 ， 祝 谢 。      [kjv]  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;     [bbe]  My desire is, first of all, that you will make requests and prayers and give praise for all men; 2:2 [hgb]  为 君 王 和 一 切 在 位 的 也 该 如 此 。 使 我 们 可 以 敬 虔 端 正 ， 平 安 无 事 的 度 日 。      [kjv]  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.     [bbe]  For kings and all those in authority; so that we may have a calm and quiet life in all fear of God and serious behaviour. 2:3 [hgb]  这 是 好 的 ， 在 神 我 们 救 主 面 前 可 蒙 悦 纳 。      [kjv]  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;     [bbe]  This is good and pleasing in the eyes of God our Saviour; 2:4 [hgb]  他 愿 意 万 人 得 救 ， 明 白 真 道 。      [kjv]  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.     [bbe]  Whose desire is that all men may have salvation and come to the knowledge of what is true. 2:5 [hgb]  因 为 只 有 一 位 神 ， 在 神 和 人 中 间 ， 只 有 一 位 中 保 ， 乃 是 降 世 为 人 的 基 督 耶 稣 。      [kjv]  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;     [bbe]  For there is one God and one peacemaker between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 2:6 [hgb]  他 舍 自 己 作 万 人 的 赎 价 。 到 了 时 候 ， 这 事 必 证 明 出 来 。      [kjv]  Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.     [bbe]  Who gave himself as an offering for all; witness of which was to be given at the right time; 2:7 [hgb]  我 为 此 奉 派 ， 作 传 道 的 ， 作 使 徒 ， 作 外 邦 人 的 师 傅 ， 教 导 他 们 相 信 ， 学 习 真 道 。 我 说 的 是 真 话 ， 并 不 是 谎 言 。      [kjv]  Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.     [bbe]  And of this I became a preacher and an Apostle (what I say is true, not false,) and a teacher of the Gentiles in the true faith. 2:8 [hgb]  我 愿 男 人 无 忿 怒 ， 无 争 论 ， （ 争 论 或 作 疑 惑 ） ， 举 起 圣 洁 的 手 ， 随 处 祷 告 。      [kjv]  I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.     [bbe]  It is my desire, then, that in every place men may give themselves to prayer, lifting up holy hands, without wrath or argument. 2:9 [hgb]  又 愿 女 人 廉 耻 ， 自 守 ， 以 正 派 衣 裳 为 妆 饰 ， 不 以 编 发 ， 黄 金 ， 珍 珠 ， 和 贵 价 的 衣 裳 为 妆 饰 。      [kjv]  In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;     [bbe]  And that women may be dressed in simple clothing, with a quiet and serious air; not with twisted hair and gold or jewels or robes of great price; 2:10 [hgb]  只 要 有 善 行 。 这 才 与 自 称 是 敬 神 的 女 人 相 宜 。      [kjv]  But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.     [bbe]  But clothed with good works, as is right for women who are living in the fear of God. 2:11 [hgb]  女 人 要 沉 静 学 道 ， 一 味 地 顺 服 。      [kjv]  Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.     [bbe]  Let a woman quietly take the place of a learner and be under authority. 2:12 [hgb]  我 不 许 女 人 讲 道 ， 也 不 许 她 辖 管 男 人 ， 只 要 沉 静 。      [kjv]  But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.     [bbe]  In my opinion it is right for a woman not to be a teacher, or to have rule over a man, but to be quiet. 2:13 [hgb]  因 为 先 造 的 是 亚 当 ， 后 造 的 是 夏 娃 。      [kjv]  For Adam was first formed, then Eve.     [bbe]  For Adam was first formed, then Eve; 2:14 [hgb]  且 不 是 亚 当 被 引 诱 ， 乃 是 女 人 被 引 诱 ， 陷 在 罪 里 。      [kjv]  And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.     [bbe]  And Adam was not taken by deceit, but the woman, being tricked, became a wrongdoer. 2:15 [hgb]  然 而 女 人 若 常 存 信 心 爱 心 ， 又 圣 洁 自 守 ， 就 必 在 生 产 上 得 救 。      [kjv]  Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.     [bbe]  But if they go on in faith and love and holy self-control, she will be kept safe at the time of childbirth. 
Chapter 3
3:1 [hgb]  人 若 想 要 得 监 督 的 职 分 ， 就 是 羡 慕 善 工 。 这 话 是 可 信 的 。      [kjv]  This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.     [bbe]  This is a true saying, A man desiring the position of a Bishop has a desire for a good work. 3:2 [hgb]  作 监 督 的 ， 必 须 无 可 指 责 ， 只 作 一 个 妇 人 的 丈 夫 ， 有 节 制 ， 自 守 ， 端 正 。 乐 意 接 待 远 人 ， 善 于 教 导 。      [kjv]  A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;     [bbe]  The Bishop, then, is to be a man of good name, the husband of one wife, self-controlled, serious-minded, having respect for order, opening his house freely to guests, a ready teacher; 3:3 [hgb]  不 因 酒 滋 事 ， 不 打 人 ， 只 要 温 和 ， 不 争 竞 ， 不 贪 财 。      [kjv]  Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;     [bbe]  Not quickly moved to wrath or blows, but gentle; no fighter, no lover of money; 3:4 [hgb]  好 好 管 理 自 己 的 家 ， 使 儿 女 凡 事 端 庄 顺 服 。 （ 或 作 端 端 庄 庄 地 使 儿 女 顺 服 ）      [kjv]  One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;     [bbe]  Ruling his house well, having his children under control with all serious behaviour; 3:5 [hgb]  人 若 不 知 道 管 理 自 己 的 家 ， 焉 能 照 管 神 的 教 会 呢 ？      [kjv]  (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)     [bbe]  (For if a man has not the art of ruling his house, how will he take care of the church of God?) 3:6 [hgb]  初 入 教 的 不 可 作 监 督 ， 恐 怕 他 自 高 自 大 ， 就 落 在 魔 鬼 所 受 的 刑 罚 里 。      [kjv]  Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.     [bbe]  Not one newly taken into the church, for fear that, through his high opinion of himself, he may come into the same sin as the Evil One. 3:7 [hgb]  监 督 也 必 须 在 教 外 有 好 名 声 ， 恐 怕 被 人 毁 谤 ， 落 在 魔 鬼 的 网 罗 里 。      [kjv]  Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.     [bbe]  And he is to have a good name among those outside the church, so that nothing may be said against him and he may not be taken by the designs of the Evil One. 3:8 [hgb]  作 执 事 的 也 是 如 此 ， 必 须 端 庄 ， 不 一 口 两 舌 ， 不 好 喝 酒 ， 不 贪 不 义 之 财 。      [kjv]  Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;     [bbe]  Deacons, in the same way, are to be serious in their behaviour, not false in word, not given to taking much wine or greatly desiring the wealth of this world; 3:9 [hgb]  要 存 清 洁 的 良 心 ， 固 守 真 道 的 奥 秘 。      [kjv]  Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.     [bbe]  Keeping the secret of the faith in a heart free from sin. 3:10 [hgb]  这 等 人 也 要 先 受 试 验 。 若 没 有 可 责 之 处 ， 然 后 叫 他 们 作 执 事 。      [kjv]  And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.     [bbe]  And let these first be put to the test; then let them become Deacons if there is nothing against them. 3:11 [hgb]  女 执 事 （ 原 文 作 女 人 ） 也 是 如 此 ， 必 须 端 庄 ， 不 说 谗 言 ， 有 节 制 ， 凡 事 忠 心 。      [kjv]  Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.     [bbe]  Women are to be serious in behaviour, saying no evil of others, controlling themselves, true in all things. 3:12 [hgb]  执 事 只 要 作 一 个 妇 人 的 丈 夫 ， 好 好 管 理 儿 女 和 自 己 的 家 。      [kjv]  Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.     [bbe]  Let Deacons be husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their houses well. 3:13 [hgb]  因 为 善 作 执 事 的 ， 自 己 就 得 到 美 好 的 地 步 ， 并 且 在 基 督 耶 稣 里 的 真 道 上 大 有 胆 量 。      [kjv]  For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.     [bbe]  For those who have done good work as Deacons get for themselves a good position and become free from fear in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. 3:14 [hgb]  我 指 望 快 到 你 那 里 去 ， 所 以 先 将 这 些 事 写 给 你 。      [kjv]  These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:     [bbe]  I am writing these things to you, though I am hoping to come to you before long; 3:15 [hgb]  倘 若 我 耽 延 日 久 ， 你 也 可 以 知 道 在 神 的 家 中 当 怎 样 行 。 这 家 就 是 永 生 神 的 教 会 ， 真 理 的 柱 石 和 根 基 。      [kjv]  But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.     [bbe]  But if I am long in coming, this will make clear to you what behaviour is right for men in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and base of what is true. 3:16 [hgb]  大 哉 ， 敬 虔 的 奥 秘 ， 无 人 不 以 为 然 ， 就 是 神 在 肉 身 显 现 ， 被 圣 灵 称 义 ， （ 或 作 在 灵 性 称 义 ） ， 被 天 使 看 见 ， 被 传 于 外 邦 ， 被 世 人 信 服 ， 被 接 在 荣 耀 里 。      [kjv]  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.     [bbe]  And without argument, great is the secret of religion: He who was seen in the flesh, who was given God's approval in the spirit, was seen by the angels, of whom the good news was given among the nations, in whom the world had faith, who was taken up in glory. 
Chapter 4
4:1 [hgb]  圣 灵 明 说 ， 在 后 来 的 时 候 ， 必 有 人 离 弃 真 道 ， 听 从 那 引 诱 人 的 （ 邪 ） 灵 ， 和 鬼 魔 的 道 理 。      [kjv]  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;     [bbe]  But the Spirit says clearly that in later times some will be turned away from the faith, giving their minds to spirits of deceit, and the teachings of evil spirits, 4:2 [hgb]  这 是 因 为 说 谎 之 人 的 假 冒 。 这 等 人 的 良 心 ， 如 同 被 热 铁 烙 惯 了 一 般 。      [kjv]  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;     [bbe]  Through the false ways of men whose words are untrue, whose hearts are burned as with a heated iron; 4:3 [hgb]  他 们 禁 止 嫁 娶 ， 又 禁 戒 食 物 ， （ 或 作 又 叫 人 戒 荤 ） 就 是 神 所 造 叫 那 信 而 明 白 真 道 的 人 ， 感 谢 着 领 受 的 。      [kjv]  Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.     [bbe]  Who keep men from being married and from taking food which God made to be taken with praise by those who have faith and true knowledge. 4:4 [hgb]  凡 神 所 造 的 物 ， 都 是 好 的 。 若 感 谢 着 领 受 ， 就 没 有 一 样 可 弃 的 。      [kjv]  For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:     [bbe]  Because everything which God has made is good, and nothing is evil, if it is taken with praise: 4:5 [hgb]  都 因 神 的 道 和 人 的 祈 求 ， 成 为 圣 洁 了 。      [kjv]  For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.     [bbe]  For it is made holy by the word of God and by prayer. 4:6 [hgb]  你 若 将 这 些 事 提 醒 弟 兄 们 ， 便 是 基 督 耶 稣 的 好 执 事 ， 在 真 道 的 话 语 ， 和 你 向 来 所 服 从 的 善 道 上 ， 得 了 教 育 。      [kjv]  If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.     [bbe]  If you keep these things before the minds of the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, trained in the words of the faith and of the right teaching which has been your guide: 4:7 [hgb]  只 是 要 弃 绝 那 世 俗 的 言 语 ， 和 老 妇 荒 渺 的 话 ， 在 敬 虔 上 操 练 自 己 。      [kjv]  But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.     [bbe]  But have nothing to do with unclean and foolish stories. Give yourself training in religion: 4:8 [hgb]  操 练 身 体 ， 益 处 还 少 。 惟 独 敬 虔 ， 凡 事 都 有 益 处 。 因 有 今 生 和 来 生 的 应 许 。      [kjv]  For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.     [bbe]  For the training of the body is of profit for a little, but religion is of profit in every way, giving hope for the life which now is, and for that which is to come. 4:9 [hgb]  这 话 是 可 信 的 ， 是 十 分 可 佩 服 的 。      [kjv]  This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.     [bbe]  This is a true saying, in which all may put their faith. 4:10 [hgb]  我 们 劳 苦 努 力 ， 正 是 为 此 。 因 我 们 的 指 望 在 乎 永 生 的 神 。 他 是 万 人 的 救 主 ， 更 是 信 徒 的 救 主 。      [kjv]  For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. [bbe]  Let no one make little of you because you are young, but be an example to the church in word, in behaviour, in love, in faith, in holy living. 4:13 [hgb]  你 要 以 宣 读 ， 劝 勉 ， 教 导 为 念 ， 直 等 到 我 来 。      [kjv]  Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.     [bbe]  Till I come, give attention to the reading of the holy Writings, to comforting the saints, and to teaching. 4:14 [hgb]  你 不 要 轻 忽 所 得 的 恩 赐 ， 就 是 从 前 借 着 预 言 ， 在 众 长 老 按 手 的 时 候 ， 赐 给 你 的 。      [kjv]  Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.     [bbe]  Make use of that grace in you, which was given to you by the word of the prophets, when the rulers of the church put their hands on you. 4:15 [hgb]  这 些 事 你 要 殷 勤 去 作 ， 并 要 在 此 专 心 ， 使 众 人 看 出 你 的 长 进 来 。      [kjv]  Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.     [bbe]  Have a care for these things; give yourself to them with all your heart, so that all may see how you go forward. 4:16 [hgb]  你 要 谨 慎 自 己 和 自 己 的 教 训 ， 要 在 这 些 事 上 恒 心 。 因 为 这 样 行 ， 又 能 救 自 己 ， 又 能 救 听 你 的 人 。      [kjv]  Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.     [bbe]  Give attention to yourself and your teaching. Go on in these things; for in doing so you will get salvation for yourself and for those who give hearing to you. 
Chapter 5
5:1 [hgb]  不 可 严 责 老 年 人 ， 只 要 劝 他 如 同 父 亲 。 劝 少 年 人 如 同 弟 兄 。      [kjv]  Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;     [bbe]  Do not say sharp words to one who has authority in the church, but let your talk be as to a father, and to the younger men as to brothers: 5:2 [hgb]  劝 老 年 妇 女 如 同 母 亲 。 劝 少 年 妇 女 如 同 姐 妹 。 总 要 清 清 洁 洁 的 。      [kjv]  The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.     [bbe]  To the older women as to mothers, to the younger as to sisters, with a clean heart. 5:3 [hgb]  要 尊 敬 那 真 为 寡 妇 的 。      [kjv]  Honour widows that are widows indeed.     [bbe]  Give honour to widows who are truly widows. 5:4 [hgb]  若 寡 妇 有 儿 女 ， 或 有 孙 子 孙 女 ， 便 叫 他 们 先 在 自 己 家 中 学 着 行 孝 ， 报 答 亲 恩 ， 因 为 这 在 神 面 前 是 可 悦 纳 的 。      [kjv]  But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.     [bbe]  But if any widow has children or children's children, let these see that it is right to take care of their family and their fathers and mothers: for this is pleasing in the eyes of God. 5:5 [hgb]  那 独 居 无 靠 真 为 寡 妇 的 ， 是 仰 赖 神 ， 昼 夜 不 住 地 祈 求 祷 告 。      [kjv]  Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.     [bbe]  Now she who is truly a widow and without family puts her hope in God, giving herself to prayer day and night. 5:6 [hgb]  但 那 好 宴 乐 的 寡 妇 ， 正 活 着 的 时 候 也 是 死 的 。      [kjv]  But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.     [bbe]  But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she is living. 5:7 [hgb]  这 些 事 你 要 嘱 咐 他 们 ， 叫 他 们 无 可 指 责 。      [kjv]  And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.     [bbe]  Give orders to this effect, so that no evil may be said of anyone. 5:8 [hgb]  人 若 不 看 顾 亲 属 ， 就 是 背 了 真 道 ， 比 不 信 的 人 还 不 好 。 不 看 顾 自 己 家 里 的 人 ， 更 是 如 此 。      [kjv]  But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.     [bbe]  If anyone has no care for his family and those in his house, he is false to the faith, and is worse than one who has no faith. 5:9 [hgb]  寡 妇 记 在 册 子 上 ， 必 须 年 纪 到 六 十 岁 ， 从 来 只 作 一 个 丈 夫 的 妻 子 ，      [kjv]  Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,     [bbe]  Let no woman be numbered among the widows who is under sixty years old, and only if she has been the wife of one man, 5:10 [hgb]  又 有 行 善 的 名 声 ， 就 如 养 育 儿 女 ， 接 待 远 人 ， 洗 圣 徒 的 脚 ， 救 济 遭 难 的 人 ， 竭 力 行 各 样 善 事 。      [kjv]  Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.     [bbe]  And if witness is given of her good works; if she has had the care of children, if she has been kind to travellers, washing the feet of the saints, helping those who are in trouble, giving herself to good works. 5:11 [hgb]  至 于 年 轻 的 寡 妇 ， 就 可 以 辞 她 。 因 为 她 们 的 情 欲 发 动 ， 违 背 基 督 的 时 候 ， 就 想 要 嫁 人 。      [kjv]  But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;     [bbe]  But to the younger widows say No: for when their love is turned away from Christ, they have a desire to be married; 5:12 [hgb]  她 们 被 定 罪 ， 是 因 废 弃 了 当 初 所 许 的 愿 。      [kjv]  Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.     [bbe]  And they are judged because they have been false to their first faith; 5:13 [hgb]  并 且 她 们 又 习 惯 懒 惰 ， 挨 家 闲 游 。 不 但 是 懒 惰 ， 又 说 长 道 短 ， 好 管 闲 事 ， 说 些 不 当 说 的 话 。      [kjv]  And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.     [bbe]  And they get into the way of doing no work, going about from house to house; and not only doing no work, but talking foolishly, being over-interested in the business of others, saying things which they have no right to say. 5:14 [hgb]  所 以 我 愿 意 年 轻 的 寡 妇 嫁 人 ， 生 养 儿 女 ， 治 理 家 务 ， 不 给 敌 人 辱 骂 的 把 柄 。      [kjv]  I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.     [bbe]  So it is my desire that the younger widows may be married and have children, controlling their families, and giving the Evil One no chance to say anything against them, 5:15 [hgb]  因 为 已 经 有 转 去 随 从 撒 但 的 。      [kjv]  For some are already turned aside after Satan.     [bbe]  For even now some are turned away to Satan. 5:16 [hgb]  信 主 的 妇 女 ， 若 家 中 有 寡 妇 ， 自 己 就 当 救 济 她 们 ， 不 可 累 着 教 会 ， 好 使 教 会 能 救 济 那 真 无 倚 靠 的 寡 妇 。      [kjv]  If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.     [bbe]  If any woman of the faith has relations who are widows, let her give them help, so that the care of them does not come on the church, and so it may give help to those who are truly widowed. 5:17 [hgb]  那 善 于 管 理 教 会 的 长 老 ， 当 以 为 配 受 加 倍 的 敬 奉 。 那 劳 苦 传 道 教 导 人 的 ， 更 当 如 此 。      [kjv]  Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.     [bbe]  Let rulers whose rule is good be honoured twice over, specially those whose work is preaching and teaching. 5:18 [hgb]  因 为 经 上 说 ， 牛 在 场 上 踹 谷 的 时 候 ， 不 可 笼 住 它 的 嘴 。 又 说 ， 工 人 得 工 价 是 应 当 的 。      [kjv]  For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.     [bbe]  For the Writings say, It is not right to keep the ox from taking the grain when he is crushing it. And, The worker has a right to his reward. 5:19 [hgb]  控 告 长 老 的 呈 子 ， 非 有 两 三 个 见 证 就 不 要 收 。      [kjv]  Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.     [bbe]  Do not take as true any statement made against one in authority, but only if two or three give witness to it. 5:20 [hgb]  犯 罪 的 人 ， 当 在 众 人 面 前 责 备 他 ， 叫 其 余 的 人 也 可 以 惧 怕 。      [kjv]  Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.     [bbe]  Say sharp words to sinners when all are present, so that the rest may be in fear. 5:21 [hgb]  我 在 神 和 基 督 耶 稣 并 蒙 拣 选 的 天 使 面 前 嘱 咐 你 ， 要 遵 守 这 些 话 ， 不 可 存 成 见 ， 行 事 也 不 可 有 偏 心 。      [kjv]  I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.     [bbe]  I give you orders before God and Christ Jesus and the angels of God's selection, to keep these orders without giving thought to one side more than another. 5:22 [hgb]  给 人 行 按 手 的 礼 ， 不 可 急 促 。 不 要 在 别 人 的 罪 上 有 分 。 要 保 守 自 己 清 洁 。      [kjv]  Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.     [bbe]  Do not put hands on any man without thought, and have no part in other men's sins: keep yourself clean. 5:23 [hgb]  因 你 胃 口 不 清 ， 屡 次 患 病 ， 再 不 要 照 常 喝 水 ， 可 以 稍 微 用 点 酒 。      [kjv]  Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.     [bbe]  Do not take only water as your drink, but take a little wine for the good of your stomach, and because you are frequently ill. 5:24 [hgb]  有 些 人 的 罪 是 明 显 的 ， 如 同 先 到 审 判 案 前 。 有 些 人 的 罪 是 随 后 跟 了 去 的 。      [kjv]  Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.     [bbe]  The sins of some men are clearly seen, going before them to be judged; but with others, their sins go after them. 5:25 [hgb]  这 样 ， 善 行 也 有 明 显 的 。 那 不 明 显 的 ， 也 不 能 隐 藏 。      [kjv]  Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.     [bbe]  In the same way, there are good works which are clearly seen; and those which are not so, may not be kept secret. 
Chapter 6
6:1 [hgb]  凡 在 轭 下 作 仆 人 的 ， 当 以 自 己 主 人 配 受 十 分 的 恭 敬 ， 免 得 神 的 名 和 道 理 ， 被 人 亵 渎 。      [kjv]  Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.     [bbe]  Let all who are servants under the yoke give all honour to their masters, so that no evil may be said against the name of God and his teaching. 6:2 [hgb]  仆 人 有 信 道 的 主 人 ， 不 可 因 为 与 他 是 弟 兄 就 轻 看 他 。 更 要 加 意 服 事 他 。 因 为 得 服 事 之 益 处 的 ， 是 信 道 蒙 爱 的 。 你 要 以 此 教 训 人 ， 劝 勉 人 。      [kjv]  And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.     [bbe]  And let those whose masters are of the faith have respect for them because they are brothers, working for them the more readily, because those who take part in the good work are of the faith and are dear. Give orders and teaching about these things. 6:3 [hgb]  若 有 人 传 异 教 ， 不 服 从 我 们 主 耶 稣 基 督 纯 正 的 话 ， 与 那 合 乎 敬 虔 的 道 理 。      [kjv]  If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;     [bbe]  If any man gives different teaching, not in agreement with the true words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the teaching which is in agreement with true religion, 6:4 [hgb]  他 是 自 高 自 大 ， 一 无 所 知 ， 专 好 问 难 争 辩 言 词 ， 从 此 就 生 出 嫉 妒 ， 分 争 ， 毁 谤 ， 妄 疑 ，      [kjv]  He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,     [bbe]  He has an over-high opinion of himself; being without knowledge, having only an unhealthy love of questionings and wars of words, from which come envy, fighting, cruel words, evil thoughts, 6:5 [hgb]  并 那 坏 了 心 术 ， 失 丧 真 理 之 人 的 争 竞 。 他 们 以 敬 虔 为 得 利 的 门 路 。      [kjv]  Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.     [bbe]  Bitter talk of men who, being evil in mind and dead to what is true, take the faith to be a way of making profit. 6:6 [hgb]  然 而 敬 虔 加 上 知 足 的 心 便 是 大 利 了 。      [kjv]  But godliness with contentment is great gain.     [bbe]  But true faith, with peace of mind, is of great profit: 6:7 [hgb]  因 为 我 们 没 有 带 什 么 到 世 上 来 ， 也 不 能 带 什 么 去 。      [kjv]  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.     [bbe]  For we came into the world with nothing, and we are not able to take anything out; 6:8 [hgb]  只 要 有 衣 有 食 ， 就 当 知 足 。      [kjv]  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.     [bbe]  But if we have food and a roof over us, let that be enough. 6:9 [hgb]  但 那 些 想 要 发 财 的 人 ， 就 陷 在 迷 惑 ， 落 在 网 罗 ， 和 许 多 无 知 有 害 的 私 欲 里 ， 叫 人 沉 在 败 坏 和 灭 亡 中 。      [kjv]  But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.     [bbe]  But those who have a desire for wealth are falling into danger, and are taken as in a net by a number of foolish and damaging desires, through which men are overtaken by death and destruction. 6:10 [hgb]  贪 财 是 万 恶 之 根 。 有 人 贪 恋 钱 财 ， 就 被 引 诱 离 了 真 道 ， 用 许 多 愁 苦 把 自 己 刺 透 了 。      [kjv]  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.     [bbe]  For the love of money is a root of all evil: and some whose hearts were fixed on it have been turned away from the faith, and been wounded with unnumbered sorrows. 6:11 [hgb]  但 你 这 属 神 的 人 ， 要 逃 避 这 些 事 ， 追 求 公 义 ， 敬 虔 ， 信 心 ， 爱 心 ， 忍 耐 ， 温 柔 。      [kjv]  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.     [bbe]  But you, O man of God, keep yourself from these things, and go after righteousness, religion, faith, love, a quiet mind, gentle behaviour. 6:12 [hgb]  你 要 为 真 道 打 那 美 好 的 仗 ， 持 定 永 生 。 你 为 此 被 召 ， 也 在 许 多 见 证 人 面 前 ， 已 经 作 了 那 美 好 的 见 证 。      [kjv]  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.     [bbe]  Be fighting the good fight of the faith; take for yourself the life eternal, for which you were marked out, and of which you gave witness in the eyes of all. 6:13 [hgb]  我 在 叫 万 物 生 活 的 神 面 前 ， 并 在 向 本 丢 彼 拉 多 作 过 那 美 好 见 证 的 基 督 耶 稣 面 前 嘱 咐 你 ，      [kjv]  I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;     [bbe]  I give you orders before God, the giver of life, and Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate gave witness to the faith, 6:14 [hgb]  要 守 这 命 令 ， 毫 不 玷 污 ， 无 可 指 责 ， 直 到 我 们 的 主 耶 稣 基 督 显 现 。      [kjv]  That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:     [bbe]  To keep the word untouched by evil, clear from all shame, till the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ: 6:15 [hgb]  到 了 日 期 ， 那 可 称 颂 独 有 权 能 的 ， 万 王 之 王 ， 万 主 之 主 ，      [kjv]  Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;     [bbe]  Which at the right time he will make clear, who is the eternal and only Ruler, King of kings, and Lord of lords; 6:16 [hgb]  就 是 那 独 一 不 死 ， 住 在 人 不 能 靠 近 的 光 里 ， 是 人 未 曾 看 见 ， 也 是 不 能 看 见 的 ， 要 将 他 显 明 出 来 。 但 愿 尊 贵 和 永 远 的 权 能 ， 都 归 给 他 。 阿 们 。      [kjv]  Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.     [bbe]  Who only has life for ever, living in light to which no man may come near; whom no man has seen or is able to see: to whom be honour and power for ever. So be it. 6:17 [hgb]  你 要 嘱 咐 那 些 今 世 富 足 的 人 ， 不 要 自 高 ， 也 不 要 倚 靠 无 定 的 钱 财 。 只 要 倚 靠 那 厚 赐 百 物 给 我 们 享 受 的 神 。      [kjv]  Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;     [bbe]  Give orders to those who have money and goods in this life, not to be lifted up in their minds, or to put their hope in the uncertain chances of wealth, but in God who gives us in full measure all things for our use; 6:18 [hgb]  又 要 嘱 咐 他 们 行 善 ， 在 好 事 上 富 足 ， 甘 心 施 舍 ， 乐 意 供 给 人 ， （ 供 给 或 作 体 贴 ）      [kjv]  That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;     [bbe]  And to do good, having wealth in good works, being quick to give, taking part with one another; 6:19 [hgb]  为 自 己 积 成 美 好 的 根 基 ， 预 备 将 来 ， 叫 他 们 持 定 那 真 正 的 生 命 。      [kjv]  Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.     [bbe]  Making ready for themselves a safe place for the time to come, so that the true life may be theirs. 6:20 [hgb]  提 摩 太 阿 ， 你 要 保 守 所 托 付 你 的 ， 躲 避 世 俗 的 虚 谈 ， 和 那 敌 真 道 似 是 而 非 的 学 问 。      [kjv]  O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:     [bbe]  O Timothy, take good care of that which is given to you, turning away from the wrong and foolish talk and arguments of that knowledge which is falsely so named; 6:21 [hgb]  已 经 有 人 自 称 有 这 学 问 ， 就 偏 离 了 真 道 。 愿 恩 惠 常 与 你 们 同 在 。      [kjv]  Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.     [bbe]  Through which some, who gave their minds to it, have been turned away from the faith. Grace be with you.
