Chapter 1
1:1 [hgb]  作 耶 稣 基 督 仆 人 和 使 徒 的 西 门 彼 得 ， 写 信 给 那 因 我 们 的 神 ， 和 （ 有 古 卷 无 和 字 ） 救 主 耶 稣 基 督 之 义 ， 与 我 们 同 得 一 样 宝 贵 信 心 的 人 。      [kjv]  Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:     [bbe]  Simon Peter, a servant and Apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who with us have a part in the same holy faith in the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ: 1:2 [hgb]  愿 恩 惠 平 安 ， 因 你 们 认 识 神 和 我 们 主 耶 稣 ， 多 多 地 加 给 你 们 。      [kjv]  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,     [bbe]  May grace and peace ever be increasing in you, in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; 1:3 [hgb]  神 的 神 能 已 将 一 切 关 乎 生 命 和 虔 敬 的 事 赐 给 我 们 ， 皆 因 我 们 认 识 那 用 自 己 荣 耀 和 美 德 召 我 们 的 主 。      [kjv]  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:     [bbe]  Because by his power he has given us everything necessary for life and righteousness, through the knowledge of him who has been our guide by his glory and virtue; 1:4 [hgb]  因 此 他 已 将 又 宝 贵 又 极 大 的 应 许 赐 给 我 们 ， 叫 我 们 既 脱 离 世 上 从 情 欲 来 的 败 坏 ， 就 得 与 神 的 性 情 有 分 。      [kjv]  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.     [bbe]  And through this he has given us the hope of great rewards highly to be valued; so that by them we might have our part in God's being, and be made free from the destruction which is in the world through the desires of the flesh. 1:5 [hgb]  正 因 这 缘 故 ， 你 们 要 分 外 地 殷 勤 。 有 了 信 心 ， 又 要 加 上 德 行 。 有 了 德 行 ， 又 要 加 上 知 识 。      [kjv]  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;     [bbe]  So, for this very cause, take every care; joining virtue to faith, and knowledge to virtue, 1:6 [hgb]  有 了 知 识 ， 又 要 加 上 节 制 。 有 了 节 制 ， 又 要 加 上 忍 耐 。 有 了 忍 耐 ， 又 要 加 上 虔 敬 。      [kjv]  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;     [bbe]  And self-control to knowledge, and a quiet mind to self-control, and fear of God to a quiet mind, 1:7 [hgb]  有 了 虔 敬 ， 又 要 加 上 爱 弟 兄 的 心 。 有 了 爱 弟 兄 的 心 ， 又 要 加 上 爱 众 人 的 心      [kjv]  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.     [bbe]  And love of the brothers to fear of God, and to love of the brothers, love itself. 1:8 [hgb]  你 们 若 充 充 足 足 地 有 这 几 样 ， 就 必 使 你 们 在 认 识 我 们 的 主 耶 稣 基 督 上 ， 不 至 于 闲 懒 不 结 果 子 了 。      [kjv]  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.     [bbe]  For if you have these things in good measure, they will make you fertile and full of fruit in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1:9 [hgb]  人 若 没 有 这 几 样 ， 就 是 眼 瞎 ， 只 看 见 近 处 的 ， 忘 了 他 旧 日 的 罪 已 经 得 了 洁 净 。      [kjv]  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.     [bbe]  For the man who has not these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having no memory of how he was made clean from his old sins. 1:10 [hgb]  所 以 弟 兄 们 ， 应 当 更 加 殷 勤 ， 使 你 们 所 蒙 的 恩 召 和 拣 选 坚 定 不 移 。 你 们 若 行 这 几 样 ， 就 永 不 失 脚 。      [kjv]  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:     [bbe]  For this reason, my brothers, take all the more care to make your selection and approval certain; for if you do these things you will never have a fall: 1:11 [hgb]  这 样 ， 必 叫 你 们 丰 丰 富 富 地 ， 得 以 进 入 我 们 主 救 主 耶 稣 基 督 永 远 的 国 。      [kjv]  For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.     [bbe]  For so the way will be open to you into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 1:12 [hgb]  你 们 虽 然 晓 得 这 些 事 ， 并 且 在 你 们 已 有 的 真 道 上 坚 固 ， 我 却 要 将 这 些 事 常 常 提 醒 你 们 。      [kjv]  Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.     [bbe]  For this reason I will be ready at all times to keep your memory of these things awake, though you have the knowledge of them now and are well based in your present faith. 1:13 [hgb]  我 以 为 应 当 趁 我 还 在 这 帐 棚 的 时 候 提 醒 你 们 ， 激 发 你 们 。      [kjv]  Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;     [bbe]  And it seems right to me, as long as I am in this tent of flesh, to keep your minds awake by working on your memory; 1:14 [hgb]  因 为 知 道 我 脱 离 这 帐 棚 的 时 候 快 到 了 ， 正 如 我 们 主 耶 稣 基 督 所 指 示 我 的 。      [kjv]  Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.     [bbe]  For I am conscious that in a short time I will have to put off this tent of flesh, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. 1:15 [hgb]  并 且 我 要 尽 心 竭 力 ， 使 你 们 在 我 去 世 以 后 ， 时 常 记 念 这 些 事 。      [kjv]  Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.     [bbe]  And I will take every care so that you may have a clear memory of these things after my death. 1:16 [hgb]  我 们 从 前 ， 将 我 们 主 耶 稣 基 督 的 大 能 ， 和 他 降 临 的 事 ， 告 诉 你 们 ， 并 不 是 随 从 乖 巧 捏 造 的 虚 言 ， 乃 是 亲 眼 见 过 他 的 威 荣 。      [kjv]  For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.     [bbe]  For when we gave you news of the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, our teaching was not based on stories put together by art, but we were eye-witnesses of his glory. 1:17 [hgb]  他 从 父 神 得 尊 贵 荣 耀 的 时 候 ， 从 极 大 荣 光 之 中 ， 有 声 音 出 来 向 他 说 ， 这 是 我 的 爱 子 ， 我 所 喜 悦 的 。      [kjv]  For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.     [bbe]  For God the Father gave him honour and glory, when such a voice came to him out of the great glory, saying, This is my dearly loved Son, with whom I am well pleased. 1:18 [hgb]  我 们 同 他 在 圣 山 的 时 候 ， 亲 自 听 见 这 声 音 从 天 上 出 来 。      [kjv]  And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.     [bbe]  And this voice came from heaven even to our ears, when we were with him on the holy mountain. 1:19 [hgb]  我 们 并 有 先 知 更 确 的 预 言 ， 如 同 灯 照 在 暗 处 。 你 们 在 这 预 言 上 留 意 ， 直 等 到 天 发 亮 晨 星 在 你 们 心 里 出 现 的 时 候 ， 才 是 好 的 。      [kjv]  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:     [bbe]  And so the words of the prophets are made more certain; and it is well for you to give attention to them as to a light shining in a dark place, till the dawn comes and the morning star is seen in your hearts; 1:20 [hgb]  第 一 要 紧 的 ， 该 知 道 经 上 所 有 的 预 言 ， 没 有 可 随 私 意 解 说 的 。      [kjv]  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.     [bbe]  Being conscious in the first place that no man by himself may give a special sense to the words of the prophets. 1:21 [hgb]  因 为 预 言 从 来 没 有 出 于 人 意 的 ， 乃 是 人 被 圣 灵 感 动 说 出 神 的 话 来 。      [kjv]  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.     [bbe]  For these words did not ever come through the impulse of men: but the prophets had them from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit. 
Chapter 2
2:1 [hgb]  从 前 在 百 姓 中 有 假 先 知 起 来 ， 将 来 在 你 们 中 间 ， 也 必 有 假 师 傅 ， 私 自 引 进 陷 害 人 的 异 端 ， 连 买 他 们 的 主 他 们 也 不 承 认 ， 自 取 速 速 地 灭 亡 。      [kjv]  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.     [bbe]  But there were false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly put forward wrong teachings for your destruction, even turning away from the Lord who gave himself for them; whose destruction will come quickly, and they themselves will be the cause of it. 2:2 [hgb]  将 有 许 多 人 随 从 他 们 邪 淫 的 行 为 ， 便 叫 真 道 ， 因 他 们 的 缘 故 被 毁 谤 。      [kjv]  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.     [bbe]  And a great number will go with them in their evil ways, through whom the true way will have a bad name. 2:3 [hgb]  他 们 因 有 贪 心 ， 要 用 捏 造 的 言 语 ， 在 你 们 身 上 取 利 。 他 们 的 刑 罚 ， 自 古 以 来 并 不 迟 延 ， 他 们 的 灭 亡 也 必 速 速 来 到 （ 原 文 作 也 不 打 盹 ） 。      [kjv]  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.     [bbe]  And in their desire for profit they will come to you with words of deceit, like traders doing business in souls: whose punishment has been ready for a long time and their destruction is watching for them. 2:4 [hgb]  就 是 天 使 犯 了 罪 ， 神 也 没 有 宽 容 ， 曾 把 他 们 丢 在 地 狱 ， 交 在 黑 暗 坑 中 ， 等 候 审 判 。      [kjv]  For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;     [bbe]  For if God did not have pity for the angels who did evil, but sent them down into hell, to be kept in chains of eternal night till they were judged; 2:5 [hgb]  神 也 没 有 宽 容 上 古 的 世 代 ， 曾 叫 洪 水 临 到 那 不 敬 虔 的 世 代 ， 却 保 护 了 传 义 道 的 挪 亚 一 家 八 口 。      [kjv]  And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;     [bbe]  And did not have mercy on the world which then was, but only kept safe Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when he let loose the waters over the world of the evil-doers; 2:6 [hgb]  又 判 定 所 多 玛 ， 蛾 摩 拉 ， 将 二 城 倾 覆 ， 焚 烧 成 灰 ， 作 为 后 世 不 敬 虔 人 的 鉴 戒 。      [kjv]  And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;     [bbe]  And sent destruction on Sodom and Gomorrah, burning them up with fire as an example to those whose way of life might in the future be unpleasing to him; 2:7 [hgb]  只 搭 救 了 那 常 为 恶 人 淫 行 忧 伤 的 义 人 罗 得 。      [kjv]  And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:     [bbe]  And kept safe Lot, the upright man, who was deeply troubled by the unclean life of the evil-doers 2:8 [hgb]  因 为 那 义 人 住 在 他 们 中 间 ， 看 见 听 见 他 们 不 法 的 事 ， 他 的 义 心 就 天 天 伤 痛 。      [kjv]  (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)     [bbe]  (Because the soul of that upright man living among them was pained from day to day by seeing and hearing their crimes): 2:9 [hgb]  主 知 道 搭 救 敬 虔 的 人 脱 离 试 探 ， 把 不 义 的 人 留 在 刑 罚 之 下 ， 等 候 审 判 的 日 子 。      [kjv]  The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:     [bbe]  The Lord is able to keep the upright safe in the time of testing, and to keep evil-doers under punishment till the day of judging; 2:10 [hgb]  那 些 随 肉 身 ， 纵 污 秽 的 情 欲 ， 轻 慢 主 治 之 人 的 ， 更 是 如 此 。 他 们 胆 大 任 性 ， 毁 谤 在 尊 位 的 也 不 知 惧 怕 。      [kjv]  But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.     [bbe]  But specially those who go after the unclean desires of the flesh, and make sport of authority. Ready to take chances, uncontrolled, they have no fear of saying evil of those in high places: 2:11 [hgb]  就 是 天 使 ， 虽 然 力 量 权 能 更 大 ， 还 不 用 毁 谤 的 话 在 主 面 前 告 他 们 。      [kjv]  Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.     [bbe]  Though the angels, who are greater in strength and power, do not make use of violent language against them before the Lord. 2:12 [hgb]  但 这 些 人 好 像 没 有 灵 性 ， 生 来 就 是 畜 类 ， 以 备 捉 拿 宰 杀 的 。 他 们 毁 谤 所 不 晓 得 的 事 ， 正 在 败 坏 人 的 时 候 ， 自 己 必 遭 遇 败 坏 。      [kjv]  But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;     [bbe]  But these men, like beasts without reason, whose natural use is to be taken and put to death, crying out against things of which they have no knowledge, will undergo that same destruction which they are designing for others; 2:13 [hgb]  行 的 不 义 ， 就 得 了 不 义 的 工 价 。 这 些 人 喜 爱 白 昼 宴 乐 ， 他 们 已 被 玷 污 ， 又 有 瑕 疵 ， 正 与 你 们 一 同 坐 席 ， 就 以 自 己 的 诡 诈 为 快 乐 。      [kjv]  And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;     [bbe]  For the evil which overtakes them is the reward of their evil-doing: such men take their pleasure in the delights of the flesh even in the daytime; they are like the marks of a disease, like poisoned wounds among you, feasting together with you in joy; 2:14 [hgb]  他 们 满 眼 是 淫 色 （ 淫 色 原 文 作 淫 妇 ） ， 止 不 住 犯 罪 。 引 诱 那 心 不 坚 固 的 人 ， 心 中 习 惯 了 贪 婪 ， 正 是 被 咒 诅 的 种 类 。      [kjv]  Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:     [bbe]  Having eyes full of evil desire, never having enough of sin; turning feeble souls out of the true way; they are children of cursing, whose hearts are well used to bitter envy; 2:15 [hgb]  他 们 离 弃 正 路 ， 就 走 差 了 ， 随 从 比 珥 之 子 巴 兰 的 路 ， 巴 兰 就 是 那 贪 爱 不 义 之 工 价 的 先 知 。      [kjv]  Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;     [bbe]  Turning out of the true way, they have gone wandering in error, after the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who was pleased to take payment for wrongdoing; 2:16 [hgb]  他 却 为 自 己 的 过 犯 受 了 责 备 。 那 不 能 说 话 的 驴 ， 以 人 言 拦 阻 先 知 的 狂 妄 。      [kjv]  But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.     [bbe]  But his wrongdoing was pointed out to him: an ass, talking with a man's voice, put a stop to the error of the prophet. 2:17 [hgb]  这 些 人 是 无 水 的 井 ， 是 狂 风 催 逼 的 雾 气 ， 有 墨 黑 的 幽 暗 为 他 们 存 留 。      [kjv]  These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.     [bbe]  These are fountains without water, and mists before a driving storm; for whom the eternal night is kept in store. 2:18 [hgb]  他 们 说 虚 妄 矜 夸 的 大 话 ， 用 肉 身 的 情 欲 ， 和 邪 淫 的 事 ， 引 诱 那 些 刚 才 脱 离 妄 行 的 人 。      [kjv]  For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.     [bbe]  For with high-sounding false words, making use of the attraction of unclean desires of the flesh, they get into their power those newly made free from those who are living in error; 2:19 [hgb]  他 们 应 许 人 得 以 自 由 ， 自 己 却 作 败 坏 的 奴 仆 。 因 为 人 被 谁 制 伏 就 是 谁 的 奴 仆 。      [kjv]  While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.     [bbe]  Saying that they will be free, while they themselves are the servants of destruction; because whatever gets the better of a man makes a servant of him. 2:20 [hgb]  倘 若 他 们 因 认 识 主 救 主 耶 稣 基 督 ， 得 以 脱 离 世 上 的 污 秽 ， 后 来 又 在 其 中 被 缠 住 制 伏 ， 他 们 末 后 的 景 况 ， 就 比 先 前 更 不 好 了 。      [kjv]  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.     [bbe]  For if, after they have got free from the unclean things of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again taken in the net and overcome, their last condition is worse than their first. 2:21 [hgb]  他 们 晓 得 义 路 ， 竟 背 弃 了 传 给 他 们 的 圣 命 ， 倒 不 如 不 晓 得 为 妙 。      [kjv]  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.     [bbe]  For it would have been better for them to have had no knowledge of the way of righteousness, than to go back again from the holy law which was given to them, after having knowledge of it. 2:22 [hgb]  俗 语 说 得 真 不 错 ， 狗 所 吐 的 ， 它 转 过 来 又 吃 。 猪 洗 净 了 ， 又 回 到 泥 里 去 滚 。 这 话 在 他 们 身 上 正 合 式 。      [kjv]  But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.     [bbe]  They are an example of that true saying, The dog has gone back to the food it had put out, and the pig which had been washed to its rolling in the dirty earth. 
Chapter 3
3:1 [hgb]  亲 爱 的 弟 兄 啊 ， 我 现 在 写 给 你 们 的 是 第 二 封 信 。 这 两 封 都 是 提 醒 你 们 ， 激 发 你 们 诚 实 的 心 。      [kjv]  This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:     [bbe]  My loved ones, this is now my second letter to you, and in this as in the first, I am attempting to keep your true minds awake; 3:2 [hgb]  叫 你 们 记 念 圣 先 知 预 先 所 说 的 话 ， 和 主 救 主 的 命 令 ， 就 是 使 徒 所 传 给 你 们 的 。      [kjv]  That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:     [bbe]  So that you may keep in mind the words of the holy prophets in the past, and the law of the Lord and Saviour which was given to you by his Apostles. 3:3 [hgb]  第 一 要 紧 的 ， 该 知 道 在 末 世 必 有 好 讥 诮 的 人 ， 随 从 自 己 的 私 欲 出 来 讥 诮 说 ，      [kjv]  Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,     [bbe]  Having first of all the knowledge that in the last days there will be men who, ruled by their evil desires, will make sport of holy things, 3:4 [hgb]  主 要 降 临 的 应 许 在 哪 里 呢 ？ 因 为 从 列 祖 睡 了 以 来 ， 万 物 与 起 初 创 造 的 时 候 仍 是 一 样 。      [kjv]  And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.     [bbe]  Saying, Where is the hope of his coming? From the death of the fathers till now everything has gone on as it was from the making of the world. 3:5 [hgb]  他 们 故 意 忘 记 ， 从 太 古 凭 神 的 命 有 了 天 ， 并 从 水 而 出 借 水 而 成 的 地 。      [kjv]  For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:     [bbe]  But in taking this view they put out of their minds the memory that in the old days there was a heaven, and an earth lifted out of the water and circled by water, by the word of God; 3:6 [hgb]  故 此 ， 当 时 的 世 界 被 水 淹 没 就 消 灭 了 。      [kjv]  Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:     [bbe]  And that the world which then was came to an end through the overflowing of the waters. 3:7 [hgb]  但 现 在 的 天 地 ， 还 是 凭 着 那 命 存 留 ， 直 留 到 不 敬 虔 之 人 受 审 判 遭 沉 沦 的 日 子 ， 用 火 焚 烧 。      [kjv]  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.     [bbe]  But the present heaven and the present earth have been kept for destruction by fire, which is waiting for them on the day of the judging and destruction of evil men. 3:8 [hgb]  亲 爱 的 弟 兄 啊 ， 有 一 件 事 你 们 不 可 忘 记 ， 就 是 主 看 一 日 如 千 年 ， 千 年 如 一 日 。      [kjv]  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. [bbe]  The Lord is not slow in keeping his word, as he seems to some, but he is waiting in mercy for you, not desiring the destruction of any, but that all may be turned from their evil ways. 3:10 [hgb]  但 主 的 日 子 要 像 贼 来 到 一 样 。 那 日 天 必 大 有 响 声 废 去 ， 有 形 质 的 都 要 被 烈 火 销 化 。 地 和 其 上 的 物 都 要 烧 尽 了 。      [kjv]  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.     [bbe]  But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; and in that day the heavens will be rolled up with a great noise, and the substance of the earth will be changed by violent heat, and the world and everything in it will be burned up. 3:11 [hgb]  这 一 切 既 然 都 要 如 此 销 化 ， 你 们 为 人 该 当 怎 样 圣 洁 ， 怎 样 敬 虔 ，      [kjv]  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,     [bbe]  Seeing then that all these things are coming to such an end, what sort of persons is it right for you to be, in all holy behaviour and righteousness, 3:12 [hgb]  切 切 仰 望 神 的 日 子 来 到 。 在 那 日 天 被 火 烧 就 销 化 了 ， 有 形 质 的 都 要 被 烈 火 熔 化 。      [kjv]  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?     [bbe]  Looking for and truly desiring the coming of the day of God, when the heavens will come to an end through fire, and the substance of the earth will be changed by the great heat? 3:13 [hgb]  但 我 们 照 他 的 应 许 ， 盼 望 新 天 新 地 ， 有 义 居 在 其 中 。      [kjv]  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.     [bbe]  But having faith in his word, we are looking for a new heaven and a new earth, which will be the resting-place of righteousness. 3:14 [hgb]  亲 爱 的 弟 兄 啊 ， 你 们 既 盼 望 这 些 事 ， 就 当 殷 勤 ， 使 自 己 没 有 玷 污 ， 无 可 指 摘 ， 安 然 见 主 。      [kjv]  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.     [bbe]  For this reason, my loved ones, as you are looking for these things, take great care that when he comes you may be in peace before him, free from sin and every evil thing. 3:15 [hgb]  并 且 要 以 我 主 长 久 忍 耐 为 得 救 的 因 由 ， 就 如 我 们 所 亲 爱 的 兄 弟 保 罗 ， 照 着 所 赐 给 他 的 智 慧 ， 写 了 信 给 你 们 。      [kjv]  And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;     [bbe]  And be certain that the long waiting of the Lord is for salvation; even as our brother Paul has said in his letters to you, from the wisdom which was given to him; 3:16 [hgb]  他 一 切 的 信 上 ， 也 都 是 讲 论 这 事 。 信 中 有 些 难 明 白 的 ， 那 无 学 问 不 坚 固 的 人 强 解 ， 如 强 解 别 的 经 书 一 样 ， 就 自 取 沉 沦 。      [kjv]  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.     [bbe]  And as he said in all his letters, which had to do with these things; in which are some hard sayings, so that, like the rest of the holy Writings, they are twisted by those who are uncertain and without knowledge, to the destruction of their souls. 3:17 [hgb]  亲 爱 的 弟 兄 啊 ， 你 们 既 然 预 先 知 道 这 事 ， 就 当 防 备 ， 恐 怕 被 恶 人 的 错 谬 诱 惑 ， 就 从 自 己 坚 固 的 地 步 上 坠 落 。      [kjv]  Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.     [bbe]  For this reason, my loved ones, having knowledge of these things before they take place, take care that you are not turned away by the error of the uncontrolled, so falling from your true faith. 3:18 [hgb]  你 们 却 要 在 我 们 主 救 主 耶 稣 基 督 的 恩 典 和 知 识 上 有 长 进 。 愿 荣 耀 归 给 他 ， 从 今 直 到 永 远 。 阿 们 。      [kjv]  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.     [bbe]  But be increased in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. May he have glory now and for ever. So be it.
