13:1 [hgb]  这 一 切 , 我 眼 都 见 过 。 我 耳 都 听 过 , 而 且 明 白 。
    [kjv]  Lo, mine eye hath seen all this, mine ear hath heard and understood it.
    [bbe]  Truly, my eye has seen all this, word of it has come to my ear, and I have knowledge of it.
13:2 [hgb]  你 们 所 知 道 的 , 我 也 知 道 , 并 非 不 及 你 们 。
    [kjv]  What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.
    [bbe]  The same things are in my mind as in yours; I am equal to you.
13:3 [hgb]  我 真 要 对 全 能 者 说 话 。 我 愿 与 神 理 论 。
    [kjv]  Surely I would speak to the Almighty1, and I desire to reason with God.
    [bbe]  But I would have talk with the Ruler of all, and my desire is to have an argument with God.
13:4 [hgb]  你 们 是 编 造 谎 言 的 , 都 是 无 用 的 医 生 。
    [kjv]  But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
    [bbe]  But you put a false face on things; all your attempts to put things right are of no value.
13:5 [hgb]  惟 愿 你 们 全 然 不 作 声 。 这 就 算 为 你 们 的 智 慧 。
    [kjv]  O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.
    [bbe]  If only you would keep quiet, it would be a sign of wisdom!
13:6 [hgb]  请 你 们 听 我 的 辩 论 , 留 心 听 我 口 中 的 分 诉 。
    [kjv]  Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
    [bbe]  Give ear to the argument of my mouth, and take note of the words of my lips.
13:7 [hgb]  你 们 要 为 神 说 不 义 的 话 吗 ? 为 他 说 诡 诈 的 言 语 吗 ?
    [kjv]  Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
    [bbe]  Will you say in God's name what is not right, and put false words into his mouth?
13:8 [hgb]  你 们 要 为 神 徇 情 吗 ? 要 为 他 争 论 吗 ?
    [kjv]  Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
    [bbe]  Will you have respect for God's person in this cause, and put yourselves forward as his supporters?
13:9 [hgb]  他 查 出 你 们 来 , 这 岂 是 好 吗 ? 人 欺 哄 人 , 你 们 也 要 照 样 欺 哄 他 吗 ?
    [kjv]  Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
    [bbe]  Will it be good for you to be searched out by him, or have you the thought that he may be guided into error like a man?
13:10 [hgb]  你 们 若 暗 中 徇 情 , 他 必 要 责 备 你 们 。
    [kjv]  He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
    [bbe]  He will certainly put you right, if you have respect for persons in secret.
13:11 [hgb]  他 的 尊 荣 岂 不 叫 你 们 惧 怕 吗 ? 他 的 惊 吓 岂 不 临 到 你 们 吗 ?
    [kjv]  Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread2 fall upon you?
    [bbe]  Will not his glory put you in fear, so that your hearts will be overcome before him?
13:12 [hgb]  你 们 以 为 可 记 念 的 箴 言 是 炉 灰 的 箴 言 。 你 们 以 为 可 靠 的 坚 垒 是 淤 泥 的 坚 垒 。
    [kjv]  Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
    [bbe]  Your wise sayings are only dust, and your strong places are only earth.
13:13 [hgb]  你 们 不 要 作 声 , 任 凭 我 吧 。 让 我 说 话 , 无 论 如 何 我 都 承 当 。
    [kjv]  Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.
    [bbe]  Keep quiet, and let me say what is in my mind, whatever may come to me.
13:14 [hgb]  我 何 必 把 我 的 肉 挂 在 牙 上 , 将 我 的 命 放 在 手 中 。
    [kjv]  Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?
    [bbe]  I will take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand.
13:15 [hgb]  他 必 杀 我 。 我 虽 无 指 望 , 然 而 我 在 他 面 前 还 要 辩 明 我 所 行 的 。
    [kjv]  Though he slay3 me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
    [bbe]  Truly, he will put an end to me; I have no hope; but I will not give way in argument before him;
13:16 [hgb]  这 要 成 为 我 的 拯 救 , 因 为 不 虔 诚 的 人 , 不 得 到 他 面 前 。
    [kjv]  He also shall be my salvation4: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.
    [bbe]  And that will be my salvation, for an evil-doer would not come before him,
13:17 [hgb]  你 们 要 细 听 我 的 言 语 , 使 我 所 辩 论 的 入 你 们 的 耳 中 。
    [kjv]  Hear diligently5 my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
    [bbe]  Give ear with care to my words, and keep what I say in your minds.
13:18 [hgb]  我 已 陈 明 我 的 案 , 知 道 自 己 有 义 。
    [kjv]  Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified6.
    [bbe]  See now, I have put my cause in order, and I am certain that I will be seen to be right.
13:19 [hgb]  有 谁 与 我 争 论 , 我 就 情 愿 缄 默 不 言 , 气 绝 而 亡 。
    [kjv]  Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.
    [bbe]  Is any one able to take up the argument against me? If so, I would keep quiet and give up my breath.
13:20 [hgb]  惟 有 两 件 不 要 向 我 施 行 , 我 就 不 躲 开 你 的 面 。
    [kjv]  Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee.
    [bbe]  Only two things do not do to me, then I will come before your face:
13:21 [hgb]  就 是 把 你 的 手 缩 回 , 远 离 我 身 。 又 不 使 你 的 惊 惶 威 吓 我 。
    [kjv]  Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
    [bbe]  Take your hand far away from me; and let me not be overcome by fear of you.
13:22 [hgb]  这 样 , 你 呼 叫 , 我 就 回 答 。 或 是 让 我 说 话 , 你 回 答 我 。
    [kjv]  Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.
    [bbe]  Then at the sound of your voice I will give answer; or let me put forward my cause for you to give me an answer.
13:23 [hgb]  我 的 罪 孽 和 罪 过 有 多 少 呢 ? 求 你 叫 我 知 道 我 的 过 犯 与 罪 愆 。
    [kjv]  How many are mine iniquities7 and sins? make me to know my transgression8 and my sin.
    [bbe]  What is the number of my evil-doings and my sins? give me knowledge of them.
13:24 [hgb]  你 为 何 掩 面 , 拿 我 当 仇 敌 呢 ?
    [kjv]  Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?
    [bbe]  Why is your face veiled from me, as if I was numbered among your haters?
13:25 [hgb]  你 要 惊 动 被 风 吹 的 叶 子 吗 ? 要 追 赶 枯 干 的 碎 秸 吗 ?
    [kjv]  Wilt9 thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
    [bbe]  Will you be hard on a leaf in flight before the wind? will you make a dry stem go more quickly on its way?
13:26 [hgb]  你 按 罪 状 刑 罚 我 , 又 使 我 担 当 幼 年 的 罪 孽 。
    [kjv]  For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
    [bbe]  For you put bitter things on record against me, and send punishment on me for the sins of my early years;
13:27 [hgb]  也 把 我 的 脚 上 了 木 狗 , 并 窥 察 我 一 切 的 道 路 , 为 我 的 脚 掌 划 定 界 限 。
    [kjv]  Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and lookest narrowly unto all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet.
