40:2 [hgb] 要 对 耶 路 撒 冷 说 安 慰 的 话 ， 又 向 他 宣 告 说 ， 他 争 战 的 日 子 已 满 了 ， 他 的 罪 孽 赦 免 了 ， 他 为 自 己 的 一 切 罪 ， 从 耶 和 华 手 中 加 倍 受 罚 。
[kjv] Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare1 is accomplished2, that her iniquity3 is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.
[bbe] Say kind words to the heart of Jerusalem, crying out to her that her time of trouble is ended, that her punishment is complete; that she has been rewarded by the Lord's hand twice over for all her sins.
40:3 [hgb] 有 人 声 喊 着 说 ， 在 旷 野 预 备 耶 和 华 的 路 ， （ 或 作 在 旷 野 有 人 声 喊 着 说 ， 当 预 备 耶 和 华 的 路 ） ， 在 沙 漠 地 修 平 我 们 神 的 道 。
[kjv] The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness4, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
[bbe] A voice of one crying, Make ready in the waste land the way of the Lord, make level in the lowland a highway for our God.
40:4 [hgb] 一 切 山 洼 都 要 填 满 ， 大 小 山 冈 都 要 削 平 ， 高 高 低 低 的 要 改 为 平 坦 ， 崎 崎 岖 岖 的 必 成 为 平 原 。
[kjv] Every valley shall be exalted5, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked6 shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
[bbe] Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low, and let the rough places become level, and the hilltops become a valley,
40:5 [hgb] 耶 和 华 的 荣 耀 必 然 显 现 ， 凡 有 血 气 的 ， 必 一 同 看 见 ， 因 为 这 是 耶 和 华 亲 口 说 的 。
[kjv] And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
[bbe] And the glory of the Lord will be made clear, and all flesh will see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has said it.
40:6 [hgb] 有 人 声 说 ， 你 喊 叫 吧 。 有 一 个 说 ， 我 喊 叫 什 么 呢 ？ 说 ， 凡 有 血 气 的 ， 尽 都 如 草 ， 他 的 美 容 ， 都 像 野 地 的 花 。
[kjv] The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
[bbe] A voice of one saying, Give a cry! And I said, What is my cry to be? All flesh is grass, and all its strength like the flower of the field.
40:7 [hgb] 草 必 枯 干 ， 花 必 凋 残 ， 因 为 耶 和 华 的 气 吹 在 其 上 。 百 姓 诚 然 是 草 。
[kjv] The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
[bbe] The grass becomes dry, the flower is dead; because the breath of the Lord goes over it: truly the people is grass.
40:8 [hgb] 草 必 枯 干 ， 花 必 凋 残 ， 惟 有 我 们 神 的 话 ， 必 永 远 立 定 。
[kjv] The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
[bbe] The grass is dry, the flower is dead; but the word of our God is eternal.
40:9 [hgb] 报 好 信 息 给 锡 安 的 阿 ， 你 要 登 高 山 。 报 好 信 息 给 耶 路 撒 冷 的 阿 ， 你 要 极 力 扬 声 。 扬 声 不 要 惧 怕 ， 对 犹 大 的 城 邑 说 ， 看 哪 ， 你 们 的 神 。
[kjv] O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold8 your God!
[bbe] You who give good news to Zion, get up into the high mountain; you who give good news to Jerusalem, let your voice be strong; let it be sounding without fear; say to the towns of Judah, See, your God!
40:10 [hgb] 主 耶 和 华 必 像 大 能 者 临 到 ， 他 的 膀 臂 必 为 他 掌 权 。 他 的 赏 赐 在 他 那 里 ， 他 的 报 应 在 他 面 前 。
[kjv] Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
[bbe] See, the Lord God will come as a strong one, ruling in power: see, those made free by him are with him, and those whom he has made safe go before him.
40:11 [hgb] 他 必 像 牧 人 牧 养 自 己 的 羊 群 ， 用 膀 臂 聚 集 羊 羔 抱 在 怀 中 ， 慢 慢 引 导 那 乳 养 小 羊 的 。
[kjv] He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom9, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
[bbe] He will give food to his flock like a keeper of sheep; with his arm he will get it together, and will take up the lambs on his breast, gently guiding those which are with young.
40:12 [hgb] 谁 曾 用 手 心 量 诸 水 ， 用 手 虎 口 量 苍 天 ， 用 升 斗 盛 大 地 的 尘 土 ， 用 秤 称 山 岭 ， 用 天 平 平 岗 陵 呢 ？
[kjv] Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted10 out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
[bbe] In the hollow of whose hand have the waters been measured? and who is able to take the heavens in his stretched-out fingers? who has got together the dust of the earth in a measure? who has taken the weight of the mountains, or put the hills into the scales?
40:13 [hgb] 谁 曾 测 度 耶 和 华 的 心 （ 或 作 谁 曾 指 示 耶 和 华 的 灵 ） ， 或 作 他 的 谋 士 指 教 他 呢 ？
[kjv] Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?
[bbe] By whom has the spirit of the Lord been guided, or who has been his teacher?
40:14 [hgb] 他 与 谁 商 议 ， 谁 教 导 他 ， 谁 将 公 平 的 路 指 示 他 ， 又 将 知 识 教 训 他 ， 将 通 达 的 道 指 教 他 呢 ？
[kjv] With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment11, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
[bbe] Who gave him suggestions, and made clear to him the right way? who gave him knowledge, guiding him in the way of wisdom?
40:15 [hgb] 看 哪 ， 万 民 都 像 水 桶 的 一 滴 ， 又 算 如 天 平 上 的 微 尘 。 他 举 起 众 海 岛 ， 好 像 极 微 之 物 。
[kjv] Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles12 as a very little thing.
[bbe] See, the nations are to him like a drop hanging from a bucket, and like the small dust in the scales: he takes up the islands like small dust.
40:16 [hgb] 利 巴 嫩 的 树 林 不 够 当 柴 烧 ， 其 中 的 走 兽 也 不 够 作 燔 祭 。
[kjv] And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
[bbe] And Lebanon is not enough to make a fire with, or all its cattle enough for a burned offering.
40:17 [hgb] 万 民 在 他 面 前 好 像 虚 无 ， 被 他 看 为 不 及 虚 无 ， 乃 为 虚 空 。
[kjv] All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
[bbe] All the nations are as nothing before him; even less than nothing, a thing of no value.
40:18 [hgb] 你 们 究 竟 将 谁 比 神 ， 用 什 么 形 像 与 神 比 较 呢 ？
[kjv] To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness13 will ye compare unto him?
[bbe] Whom then is God like, in your opinion? or what will you put forward as a comparison with him?
40:19 [hgb] 偶 像 是 匠 人 铸 造 ， 银 匠 用 金 包 裹 ， 为 它 铸 造 银 链 。
[kjv] The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.
[bbe] The workman makes an image, and the gold-worker puts gold plates over it, and makes silver bands for it.
40:20 [hgb] 穷 乏 献 不 起 这 样 供 物 的 ， 就 拣 选 不 能 朽 坏 的 树 木 ， 为 自 己 寻 找 巧 匠 ， 立 起 不 能 摇 动 的 偶 像 。
[kjv] He that is so impoverished14 that he hath no oblation15 chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.
[bbe] The wise workman makes selection of the mulberry-tree of the offering, a wood which will not become soft; so that the image may be fixed16 to it and not be moved.
40:21 [hgb] 你 们 岂 不 曾 知 道 吗 ？ 你 们 岂 不 曾 听 见 吗 ？ 从 起 初 岂 没 有 人 告 诉 你 们 吗 ？ 自 从 立 地 的 根 基 ， 你 们 岂 没 有 明 白 吗 ？
[kjv] Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?
[bbe] Have you no knowledge of it? has it not come to your ears? has not news of it been given to you from the first? has it not been clear to you from the time when the earth was placed on its base?
40:22 [hgb] 神 坐 在 地 球 大 圈 之 上 ， 地 上 的 居 民 好 像 蝗 虫 。 他 铺 张 穹 苍 如 幔 子 ， 展 开 诸 天 如 可 住 的 帐 棚 。
[kjv] It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers17; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
[bbe] It is he who is seated over the arch of the earth, and the people in it are as small as locusts18; by him the heavens are stretched out like an arch, and made ready like a tent for a living-place.
40:23 [hgb] 他 使 君 王 归 于 虚 无 ， 使 地 上 的 审 判 官 成 为 虚 空 。
[kjv] That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
[bbe] He makes rulers come to nothing; the judges of the earth are of no value.
40:24 [hgb] 他 们 是 刚 才 栽 上 ， （ 刚 才 或 作 不 曾 下 同 ） 刚 才 种 上 ， 根 也 刚 才 扎 在 地 里 ， 他 一 吹 在 其 上 ， 便 都 枯 干 ， 旋 风 将 他 们 吹 去 ， 像 碎 秸 一 样 。
[kjv] Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither7, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
[bbe] They have only now been planted, and their seed put into the earth, and they have only now taken root, when he sends out his breath over them and they become dry, and the storm-wind takes them away like dry grass.
40:25 [hgb] 那 圣 者 说 ， 你 们 将 谁 比 我 ， 叫 他 与 我 相 等 呢 ？
[kjv] To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
[bbe] Who then seems to you to be my equal? says the Holy One.
40:26 [hgb] 你 们 向 上 举 目 ， 看 谁 创 造 这 万 象 ， 按 数 目 领 出 ， 他 一 一 称 其 名 。 因 他 的 权 能 ， 又 因 他 的 大 能 大 力 ， 连 一 个 都 不 缺 。
[kjv] Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
[bbe] Let your eyes be lifted up on high, and see: who has made these? He who sends out their numbered army: who has knowledge of all their names: by whose great strength, because he is strong in power, all of them are in their places.
40:27 [hgb] 雅 各 阿 ， 你 为 何 说 ， 我 的 道 路 向 耶 和 华 隐 藏 ？ 以 色 列 阿 ， 你 为 何 言 ， 我 的 冤 屈 神 并 不 查 问 ？
[kjv] Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
[bbe] Why do you say, O Jacob, such words as these, O Israel, The Lord's eyes are not on my way, and my God gives no attention to my cause?
40:28 [hgb] 你 岂 不 曾 知 道 吗 ？ 你 岂 不 曾 听 见 吗 ？ 永 在 的 神 耶 和 华 ， 创 造 地 极 的 主 ， 并 不 疲 乏 ， 也 不 困 倦 。 他 的 智 慧 无 法 测 度 。
[kjv] Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting19 God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
[bbe] Have you no knowledge of it? has it not come to your ears? The eternal God, the Lord, the Maker20 of the ends of the earth, is never feeble or tired; there is no searching out of his wisdom.
40:29 [hgb] 疲 乏 的 ， 他 赐 能 力 。 软 弱 的 ， 他 加 力 量 。
[kjv] He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
[bbe] He gives power to the feeble, increasing the strength of him who has no force.
40:30 [hgb] 就 是 少 年 人 也 要 疲 乏 困 倦 ， 强 壮 的 也 必 全 然 跌 倒 。
[kjv] Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly21 fall:
[bbe] Even the young men will become feeble and tired, and the best of them will come to the end of his strength;
40:31 [hgb] 但 那 等 候 耶 和 华 的 ， 必 从 新 得 力 ， 他 们 必 如 鹰 展 翅 上 腾 ， 他 们 奔 跑 却 不 困 倦 ， 行 走 却 不 疲 乏 。
[kjv] But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
[bbe] But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness.
