Chapter 37

I thought that my voyage had come to its end at the last limit of my power,---that the path before me was closed, that provisions were exhausted¹ and the time come to take shelter in a silent obscurity.
 
But I find that thy will knows no end in me. And when old words die out on the tongue, new melodies break forth² from the heart; and where the old tracks are lost, new country is revealed with its wonders.
 
我以为我的精力已竭，旅程已终――前路已绝，储粮已尽，退隐在静默鸿蒙中的时间已经来到．
 
但是我发现你的意志在我身上不知有终点．旧的言语刚在舌尖上死去，新的音乐又从心上迸来；旧辙方迷，新的田野又在面前奇妙地展开．
