20:1 [hgb]  过 了 一 年 , 到 列 王 出 战 的 时 候 , 约 押 率 领 军 兵 毁 坏 亚 扪 人 的 地 , 围 攻 拉 巴 。 大 卫 仍 住 在 耶 路 撒 冷 。 约 押 攻 打 拉 巴 , 将 城 倾 覆 。
    [kjv]  And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led forth1 the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged2 Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote3 Rabbah, and destroyed it.
    [bbe]  Now in the spring, at the time when kings go out to war, Joab went out at the head of the armed forces and made waste all the land of the Ammonites and put his men in position before Rabbah, shutting it in. But David was still at Jerusalem. And Joab took Rabbah and made it waste.
20:2 [hgb]  大 卫 夺 了 亚 扪 人 之 王 所 戴 的 金 冠 冕 ( 王 或 作 玛 勒 堪 。 玛 勒 堪 即 米 勒 公 , 亚 扪 族 之 神 名 ) , 其 上 的 金 子 重 一 他 连 得 , 又 嵌 着 宝 石 。 人 将 这 冠 冕 戴 在 大 卫 头 上 。 大 卫 从 城 里 夺 了 许 多 财 物 ,
    [kjv]  And David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it; and it was set upon David's head: and he brought also exceeding much spoil out of the city.
    [bbe]  And David took the crown of Milcom from off his head; its weight was a talent of gold and it had stones of great price in it; and it was put on David's head, and he took a great store of goods from the town.
20:3 [hgb]  将 城 里 的 人 拉 出 来 , 放 在 锯 下 , 或 铁 耙 下 , 或 铁 斧 下 ( 或 作 强 他 们 用 锯 , 或 用 打 粮 食 的 铁 器 , 或 用 铁 斧 作 工 ) , 大 卫 待 亚 扪 各 城 的 居 民 都 是 如 此 。 其 后 大 卫 和 众 军 都 回 耶 路 撒 冷 去 了 。
    [kjv]  And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
    [bbe]  And he took the people out of the town and put them to work with wood-cutting instruments, and iron grain-crushers, and axes. And this he did to all the towns of the children of Ammon. Then David and all the people went back to Jerusalem.
20:4 [hgb]  后 来 , 以 色 列 人 在 基 色 与 非 利 士 人 打 仗 。 户 沙 人 西 比 该 杀 了 伟 人 的 一 个 儿 子 细 派 , 非 利 士 人 就 被 制 伏 了 。
    [kjv]  And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines4; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew5 Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued6.
    [bbe]  Now after this there was war with the Philistines at Gezer; then Sibbecai the Hushathite put to death Sippai, one of the offspring of the Rephaim; and they were overcome.
20:5 [hgb]  又 与 非 利 士 人 打 仗 。 睚 珥 的 儿 子 伊 勒 哈 难 杀 了 迦 特 人 歌 利 亚 的 兄 弟 拉 哈 米 。 这 人 的 枪 杆 粗 如 织 布 的 机 轴 。
    [kjv]  And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver's beam.
    [bbe]  And again there was war with the Philistines; and Elhanan, the son of Jair, put to death Lahmi, the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the stem of whose spear was like a cloth-worker's rod.
20:6 [hgb]  又 在 迦 特 打 仗 。 那 里 有 一 个 身 量 高 大 的 人 , 手 脚 都 是 六 指 , 共 有 二 十 四 个 指 头 , 他 也 是 伟 人 的 儿 子 。
    [kjv]  And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature7, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot and he also was the son of the giant.
    [bbe]  And again there was war at Gath, where there was a very tall man, who had twenty-four fingers and toes, six fingers on his hands and six toes on his feet; he was one of the offspring of the Rephaim.
20:7 [hgb]  这 人 向 以 色 列 人 骂 阵 , 大 卫 的 哥 哥 示 米 亚 的 儿 子 约 拿 单 就 杀 了 他 。
    [kjv]  But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David's brother slew him.
    [bbe]  And when he put shame on Israel, Jonathan, the son of Shimea, David's brother, put him to death.
20:8 [hgb]  这 三 个 人 是 迦 特 伟 人 的 儿 子 , 都 死 在 大 卫 和 他 仆 人 的 手 下 。
    [kjv]  These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
    [bbe]  These were of the offspring of the Rephaim in Gath; they came to their death by the hands of David and his servants.
