23:1 [hgb]  大 卫 年 纪 老 迈 ， 日 子 满 足 ， 就 立 他 儿 子 所 罗 门 作 以 色 列 的 王 。
    [kjv]  So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
    [bbe]  Now David was old and full of days; and he made his son Solomon king over Israel.
23:2 [hgb]  大 卫 招 聚 以 色 列 的 众 首 领 和 祭 司 利 未 人 。
    [kjv]  And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
    [bbe]  And he got together all the chiefs of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
23:3 [hgb]  利 未 人 从 三 十 岁 以 外 的 都 被 数 点 ， 他 们 男 丁 的 数 目 共 有 三 万 八 千 。
    [kjv]  Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand.
    [bbe]  And the Levites, all those of thirty years old and over, were numbered; and the number of them, by heads, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.
23:4 [hgb]  其 中 有 二 万 四 千 人 管 理 耶 和 华 殿 的 事 ， 有 六 千 人 作 官 长 和 士 师 ，
    [kjv]  Of which, twenty and four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of the LORD; and six thousand were officers and judges:
    [bbe]  Of these, twenty-four thousand were to be overseers of the work of the house of the Lord, and six thousand were judges and men of authority;
23:5 [hgb]  有 四 千 人 作 守 门 的 ， 又 有 四 千 人 用 大 卫 所 作 的 乐 器 颂 赞 耶 和 华 。
    [kjv]  Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith.
    [bbe]  Four thousand were door-keepers; and four thousand gave praise to the Lord with the instruments which I made, said David, for giving praise.
23:6 [hgb]  大 卫 将 利 未 人 革 顺 ， 哥 辖 ， 米 拉 利 的 子 孙 分 了 班 次 。
    [kjv]  And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi, namely, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
    [bbe]  And David put them into divisions under the names of the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
23:7 [hgb]  革 顺 的 子 孙 有 拉 但 和 示 每 。
    [kjv]  Of the Gershonites were, Laadan, and Shimei.
    [bbe]  Of the Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.
23:8 [hgb]  拉 但 的 长 子 是 耶 歇 ， 还 有 细 坦 和 约 珥 ， 共 三 人 。
    [kjv]  The sons of Laadan; the chief was Jehiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
    [bbe]  The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief, and Zetham and Joel, three.
