5:1 [hgb]  那 时 ， 先 知 哈 该 ， 和 易 多 的 孙 子 撒 迦 利 亚 ， 奉 以 色 列 神 的 名 向 犹 大 和 耶 路 撒 冷 的 犹 大 人 说 劝 勉 的 话 。
    [kjv]  Then the prophets, Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied¹ unto the Jews that were in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, even unto them.
    [bbe]  Now the prophets Haggai and Zechariah, the son of Iddo, were preaching to the Jews in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel.
5:2 [hgb]  于 是 撒 拉 铁 的 儿 子 所 罗 巴 伯 ， 和 约 萨 达 的 儿 子 耶 书 亚 ， 都 起 来 动 手 建 造 耶 路 撒 冷 神 的 殿 ， 有 神 的 先 知 在 那 里 帮 助 他 们 。
    [kjv]  Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping² them.
    [bbe]  Then Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, got up and made a start at building the house of God at Jerusalem: and the prophets of God were with them, helping them.
5:3 [hgb]  当 时 河 西 的 总 督 达 乃 和 示 他 波 斯 乃 ， 并 他 们 的 同 党 来 问 说 ， 谁 降 旨 让 你 们 建 造 这 殿 ， 修 成 这 墙 呢 ？
    [kjv]  At the same time came to them Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shetharboznai, and their companions, and said thus unto them, Who hath commanded you to build this house, and to make up this wall?
    [bbe]  At the same time, Tattenai, ruler of the land across the river, and Shethar-bozenai, and their men, came to them and said, Who gave you orders to go on building this house and this wall?
5:4 [hgb]  我 们 便 告 诉 他 们 建 造 这 殿 的 人 叫 什 么 名 字 。
    [kjv]  Then said we unto them after this manner, What are the names of the men that make this building?
    [bbe]  Then they said these words to them: What are the names of the men who are at work on this building?
5:5 [hgb]  神 的 眼 目 看 顾 犹 大 的 长 老 ， 以 致 总 督 等 没 有 叫 他 们 停 工 ， 直 到 这 事 奏 告 大 利 乌 得 着 他 的 回 谕 。
    [kjv]  But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, that they could not cause them to cease, till the matter came to Darius: and then they returned answer by letter concerning this matter.
    [bbe]  But the eye of their God was on the chiefs of the Jews, and they did not make them give up working till the question had been put before Darius and an answer had come by letter about it.
