7:1 [hgb]  城 墙 修 完 ， 我 安 了 门 扇 ， 守 门 的 ， 歌 唱 的 ， 和 利 未 人 都 已 派 定 。
    [kjv]  Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
    [bbe]  Now when the building of the wall was complete and I had put up the doors, and the door-keepers and the music-makers and the Levites had been given their places,
7:2 [hgb]  我 就 派 我 的 弟 兄 哈 拿 尼 ， 和 营 楼 的 宰 官 哈 拿 尼 雅 ， 管 理 耶 路 撒 冷 。 因 为 哈 拿 尼 雅 是 忠 信 的 ， 又 敬 畏 神 过 于 众 人 。
    [kjv]  That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
    [bbe]  I made my brother Hanani, and Hananiah, the ruler of the tower, responsible for the government of Jerusalem: for he was a man of good faith, fearing God more than most.
7:3 [hgb]  我 吩 咐 他 们 说 ， 等 到 太 阳 上 升 才 可 开 耶 路 撒 冷 的 城 门 。 人 尚 看 守 的 时 候 就 要 关 门 上 闩 。 也 当 派 耶 路 撒 冷 的 居 民 ， 各 按 班 次 看 守 自 己 房 屋 对 面 之 处 。
    [kjv]  And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.
    [bbe]  And I said to them, Do not let the doors of Jerusalem be open till the sun is high; and while the watchmen are in their places, let the doors be shut and locked: and let the people of Jerusalem be put on watch, every one in his watch, opposite his house.
7:4 [hgb]  城 是 广 大 ， 其 中 的 民 却 稀 少 ， 房 屋 还 没 有 建 造 。
    [kjv]  Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.
    [bbe]  Now the town was wide and great: but the people in it were only a small number, and the houses had not been put up.
7:5 [hgb]  我 的 神 感 动 我 心 ， 招 聚 贵 胄 ， 官 长 ， 和 百 姓 ， 要 照 家 谱 计 算 。 我 找 着 第 一 次 上 来 之 人 的 家 谱 ， 其 上 写 着 。
    [kjv]  And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy¹. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,
    [bbe]  And my God put it into my heart to get together the rulers and the chiefs and the people so that they might be listed by families. And I came across a record of the names of those who came up at the first, and in it I saw these words:
