2:1 [hgb]  哈 拿 祷 告 说 , 我 的 心 因 耶 和 华 快 乐 。 我 的 角 因 耶 和 华 高 举 。 我 的 口 向 仇 敌 张 开 。 我 因 耶 和 华 的 救 恩 欢 欣 。 
    [kjv]  And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted2 in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation3.
    [bbe]  And Hannah, in prayer before the Lord, said, My heart is glad in the Lord, my horn is lifted up in the Lord: my mouth is open wide over my haters; because my joy is in your salvation.
2:2 [hgb]  只 有 耶 和 华 为 圣 。 除 他 以 外 没 有 可 比 的 , 也 没 有 磐 石 像 我 们 的 神 。 
    [kjv]  There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
    [bbe]  No other is holy as the Lord, for there is no other God but you: there is no Rock like our God.
2:3 [hgb]  人 不 要 夸 口 说 骄 傲 的 话 , 也 不 要 出 狂 妄 的 言 语 。 因 耶 和 华 是 大 有 智 识 的 神 , 人 的 行 为 被 他 衡 量 。 
    [kjv]  Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
    [bbe]  Say no more words of pride; let not uncontrolled sayings come out of your mouths: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, by him acts are judged.
2:4 [hgb]  勇 士 的 弓 都 已 折 断 。 跌 倒 的 人 以 力 量 束 腰 。 
    [kjv]  The bows of the mighty4 men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.
    [bbe]  The bows of the men of war are broken, and the feeble are clothed with strength.
2:5 [hgb]  素 来 饱 足 的 , 反 作 佣 人 求 食 。 饥 饿 的 , 再 不 饥 饿 。 不 生 育 的 , 生 了 七 个 儿 子 。 多 有 儿 女 的 , 反 倒 衰 微 。 
    [kjv]  They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.
    [bbe]  Those who were full are offering themselves as servants for bread; those who were in need are at rest; truly, she who had no children has become the mother of seven; and she who had a family is wasted with sorrow.
2:6 [hgb]  耶 和 华 使 人 死 , 也 使 人 活 , 使 人 下 阴 间 , 也 使 人 往 上 升 。 
    [kjv]  The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
    [bbe]  The Lord is the giver of death and life: sending men down to the underworld and lifting them up.
2:7 [hgb]  他 使 人 贫 穷 , 也 使 人 富 足 , 使 人 卑 微 , 也 使 人 高 贵 。 
    [kjv]  The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
    [bbe]  The Lord gives wealth and takes a man's goods from him: crushing men down and again lifting them up;
2:8 [hgb]  他 从 灰 尘 里 抬 举 贫 寒 人 , 从 粪 堆 中 提 拔 穷 乏 人 , 使 他 们 与 王 子 同 坐 , 得 着 荣 耀 的 座 位 。 地 的 柱 子 属 于 耶 和 华 。 他 将 世 界 立 在 其 上 。 
    [kjv]  He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them.
    [bbe]  Lifting the poor out of the dust, and him who is in need out of the lowest place, to give them their place among rulers, and for their heritage the seat of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's and he has made them the base of the world.
2:9 [hgb]  他 必 保 护 圣 民 的 脚 步 , 使 恶 人 在 黑 暗 中 寂 然 不 动 。 人 都 不 能 靠 力 量 得 胜 。 
    [kjv]  He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
    [bbe]  He will keep the feet of his holy ones, but the evil-doers will come to their end in the dark night, for by strength no man will overcome.
2:10 [hgb]  与 耶 和 华 争 竞 的 , 必 被 打 碎 。 耶 和 华 必 从 天 上 以 雷 攻 击 他 , 必 审 判 地 极 的 人 , 将 力 量 赐 与 所 立 的 王 , 高 举 受 膏 者 的 角 。 
    [kjv]  The adversaries5 of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt1 the horn of his anointed.
    [bbe]  Those who make war against the Lord will be broken; against them he will send his thunder from heaven: the Lord will be judge of the ends of the earth, he will give strength to his king, lifting up the horn of him on whom the holy oil has been put.
2:11 [hgb]  以 利 加 拿 往 拉 玛 回 家 去 了 。 那 孩 子 在 祭 司 以 利 面 前 事 奉 耶 和 华 。 
    [kjv]  And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the LORD before Eli the priest.
    [bbe]  Then Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child became the servant of the Lord under the direction of Eli the priest.
2:12 [hgb]  以 利 的 两 个 儿 子 是 恶 人 , 不 认 识 耶 和 华 。 
    [kjv]  Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.
    [bbe]  Now the sons of Eli were evil and good-for-nothing men, having no knowledge of the Lord.
2:13 [hgb]  这 二 祭 司 待 百 姓 是 这 样 的 规 矩 , 凡 有 人 献 祭 , 正 煮 肉 的 时 候 , 祭 司 的 仆 人 就 来 , 手 拿 三 齿 的 叉 子 , 
    [kjv]  And the priests' custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was in seething6, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand;
    [bbe]  And the priests' way with the people was this: when any man made an offering, the priest's servant came while the flesh was being cooked, having in his hand a meat-hook with three teeth;
2:14 [hgb]  将 叉 子 往 罐 里 , 或 鼎 里 , 或 釜 里 , 或 锅 里 一 插 , 插 上 来 的 肉 , 祭 司 都 取 了 去 。 凡 上 到 示 罗 的 以 色 列 人 , 他 们 都 是 这 样 看 待 。 
    [kjv]  And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither7.
    [bbe]  This he put into the pot, and everything which came up on the hook the priest took for himself. This they did in Shiloh to all the Israelites who came there.
2:15 [hgb]  又 在 未 烧 脂 油 以 前 , 祭 司 的 仆 人 就 来 对 献 祭 的 人 说 , 将 肉 给 祭 司 , 叫 他 烤 吧 。 他 不 要 煮 过 的 , 要 生 的 。 
    [kjv]  Also before they burnt the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden8 flesh of thee, but raw.
    [bbe]  And more than this, before the fat was burned, the priest's servant would come and say to the man who was making the offering, Give me some of the flesh to be cooked for the priest; he has no taste for meat cooked in water, but would have you give it uncooked.
2:16 [hgb]  献 祭 的 人 若 说 , 必 须 先 烧 脂 油 , 然 后 你 可 以 随 意 取 肉 。 仆 人 就 说 , 你 立 时 给 我 , 不 然 我 便 抢 去 。 
    [kjv]  And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, Nay9; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.
    [bbe]  And if the man said to him, First let the fat be burned, then take as much as you will; then the servant would say, No, you are to give it to me now, or I will take it by force.
2:17 [hgb]  如 此 , 这 二 少 年 人 的 罪 在 耶 和 华 面 前 甚 重 了 , 因 为 他 们 藐 视 耶 和 华 的 祭 物 ( 或 作 他 们 使 人 厌 弃 给 耶 和 华 献 祭 ) 。 
    [kjv]  Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred10 the offering of the LORD.
    [bbe]  And the sin of these young men was very great before the Lord; for they gave no honour to the Lord's offerings.
2:18 [hgb]  那 时 , 撒 母 耳 还 是 孩 子 , 穿 着 细 麻 布 的 以 弗 得 , 侍 立 在 耶 和 华 面 前 。 
    [kjv]  But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen11 ephod.
    [bbe]  But Samuel did the work of the Lord's house, while he was a child, dressed in a linen ephod.
2:19 [hgb]  他 母 亲 每 年 为 他 作 一 件 小 外 袍 , 同 着 丈 夫 上 来 献 年 祭 的 时 候 带 来 给 他 。 
    [kjv]  Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.
    [bbe]  And his mother made him a little robe and took it to him every year when she came with her husband for the year's offering.
2:20 [hgb]  以 利 为 以 利 加 拿 和 他 的 妻 祝 福 , 说 , 愿 耶 和 华 由 这 妇 人 再 赐 你 后 裔 , 代 替 你 从 耶 和 华 求 来 的 孩 子 。 他 们 就 回 本 乡 去 了 。 
    [kjv]  And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home.
    [bbe]  And every year Eli gave Elkanah and his wife a blessing12, saying, May the Lord give you offspring by this woman in exchange for the child you have given to the Lord. And they went back to their house.
2:21 [hgb]  耶 和 华 眷 顾 哈 拿 , 她 就 怀 孕 生 了 三 个 儿 子 , 两 个 女 儿 。 那 孩 子 撒 母 耳 在 耶 和 华 面 前 渐 渐 长 大 。 
    [kjv]  And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.
    [bbe]  And the Lord had mercy on Hannah and she gave birth to three sons and two daughters. And the young Samuel became older before the Lord.
2:22 [hgb]  以 利 年 甚 老 迈 , 听 见 他 两 个 儿 子 待 以 色 列 众 人 的 事 , 又 听 见 他 们 与 会 幕 门 前 伺 候 的 妇 人 苟 合 , 
    [kjv]  Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
    [bbe]  Now Eli was very old; and he had news from time to time of what his sons were doing to all Israel.
2:23 [hgb]  他 就 对 他 们 说 , 你 们 为 何 行 这 样 的 事 呢 ? 我 从 这 众 百 姓 听 见 你 们 的 恶 行 。 
    [kjv]  And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.
    [bbe]  And he said to them, Why are you doing such things? for from all this people I get accounts of your evil ways.
2:24 [hgb]  我 儿 阿 , 不 可 这 样 。 我 听 见 你 们 的 风 声 不 好 , 你 们 使 耶 和 华 的 百 姓 犯 了 罪 。 
    [kjv]  Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the LORD's people to transgress13.
    [bbe]  No, my sons, the account which is given me, which the Lord's people are sending about, is not good.
2:25 [hgb]  人 若 得 罪 人 , 有 士 师 审 判 他 。 人 若 得 罪 耶 和 华 , 谁 能 为 他 祈 求 呢 ? 然 而 他 们 还 是 不 听 父 亲 的 话 , 因 为 耶 和 华 想 要 杀 他 们 。 
    [kjv]  If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay14 them.
    [bbe]  If one man does wrong to another, God will be his judge: but if a man's sin is against the Lord, who will take up his cause? But they gave no attention to the voice of their father, for it was the Lord's purpose to send destruction on them.
2:26 [hgb]  孩 子 撒 母 耳 渐 渐 长 大 , 耶 和 华 与 人 越 发 喜 爱 他 。 
    [kjv]  And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.
    [bbe]  And the young Samuel, becoming older, had the approval of the Lord and of men.
2:27 [hgb]  有 神 人 来 见 以 利 , 对 他 说 , 耶 和 华 如 此 说 , 你 祖 父 在 埃 及 法 老 家 作 奴 仆 的 时 候 , 我 不 是 向 他 们 显 现 吗 ? 
    [kjv]  And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?
    [bbe]  And a man of God came to Eli and said to him, The Lord says, Did I let myself be seen by your father's people when they were in Egypt, servants in Pharaoh's house?
2:28 [hgb]  在 以 色 列 众 支 派 中 , 我 不 是 拣 选 人 作 我 的 祭 司 , 使 他 烧 香 , 在 我 坛 上 献 祭 , 在 我 面 前 穿 以 弗 得 , 又 将 以 色 列 人 所 献 的 火 祭 都 赐 给 你 父 家 吗 ? 
    [kjv]  And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense15, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
    [bbe]  Did I take him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest and to go up to my altar to make the smoke of the offerings go up and to take up the ephod? Did I give to your father's family all the offerings made by fire by the children of Israel?
2:29 [hgb]  我 所 吩 咐 献 在 我 居 所 的 祭 物 , 你 们 为 何 践 踏 。 尊 重 你 的 儿 子 过 于 尊 重 我 , 将 我 民 以 色 列 所 献 美 好 的 祭 物 肥 己 呢 ? 
    [kjv]  Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?
    [bbe]  Why then are you looking with envy on my offerings of meat and of meal which were ordered by my word, honouring your sons before me, and making yourselves fat with all the best of the offerings of Israel, my people?
2:30 [hgb]  因 此 , 耶 和 华 以 色 列 的 神 说 , 我 曾 说 , 你 和 你 父 家 必 永 远 行 在 我 面 前 。 现 在 我 却 说 , 决 不 容 你 们 这 样 行 。 因 为 尊 重 我 的 , 我 必 重 看 他 。 藐 视 我 的 , 他 必 被 轻 视 。 
    [kjv]  Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed16.
    [bbe]  For this reason the Lord God of Israel has said, Truly I did say that your family and your father's people would have their place before me for ever: but now the Lord says, Let it not be so; I will give honour to those by whom I am honoured, and those who have no respect for me will be of small value in my eyes.
2:31 [hgb]  日 子 必 到 , 我 要 折 断 你 的 膀 臂 和 你 父 家 的 膀 臂 , 使 你 家 中 没 有 一 个 老 年 人 。 
    [kjv]  Behold17, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father's house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.
    [bbe]  See, the days are coming when your arm and the arm of your father's people will be cut off;

    [bbe]  Then it will be that the rest of your family, anyone who has not been cut off, will go down on his knees to him for a bit of silver or a bit of bread, and say, Be pleased to put me into one of the priest's places so that I may have a little food.
