Chapter 25

25:1 [hgb]  亚 伯 拉 罕 又 娶 了 一 妻 ， 名 叫 基 土 拉 。 
    [kjv]  Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.
    [bbe]  And Abraham took another wife named Keturah.
25:2 [hgb]  基 土 拉 给 他 生 了 心 兰 ， 约 珊 ， 米 但 ， 米 甸 ， 伊 施 巴 ， 和 书 亚 。 
    [kjv]  And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
    [bbe]  She became the mother of Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah.
25:3 [hgb]  约 珊 生 了 示 巴 和 底 但 。 底 但 的 子 孙 是 亚 书 利 族 ， 利 都 是 族 ， 和 利 乌 米 族 。 
    [kjv]  And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
    [bbe]  And Jokshan became the father of Sheba and Dedan. And from Dedan came the Asshurim and Letushim and Leummim.
25:4 [hgb]  米 甸 的 儿 子 是 以 法 ， 以 弗 ， 哈 诺 ， 亚 比 大 ， 和 以 勒 大 。 这 都 是 基 土 拉 的 子 孙 。 
    [kjv]  And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.
    [bbe]  And from Midian came Ephah and Epher and Hanoch and Abida and Eldaah. All these were the offspring of Keturah.
25:5 [hgb]  亚 伯 拉 罕 将 一 切 所 有 的 都 给 了 以 撒 。 
    [kjv]  And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.
    [bbe]  Now Abraham gave all his property to Isaac;
25:6 [hgb]  亚 伯 拉 罕 把 财 物 分 给 他 庶 出 的 众 子 ， 趁 着 自 己 还 在 世 的 时 候 打 发 他 们 离 开 他 的 儿 子 以 撒 ， 往 东 方 去 。 
    [kjv]  But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward¹, unto the east country.
    [bbe]  But to the sons of his other women he gave offerings, and sent them away, while he was still living, into the east country.
25:7 [hgb]  亚 伯 拉 罕 一 生 的 年 日 是 一 百 七 十 五 岁 。 
    [kjv]  And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.
    [bbe]  Now the years of Abraham's life were a hundred and seventy-five.
25:8 [hgb]  亚 伯 拉 罕 寿 高 年 迈 ， 气 绝 而 死 ， 归 到 他 列 祖 （ 原 文 作 本 民 ） 那 里 。 
    [kjv]  Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.
    [bbe]  And Abraham came to his death, an old man, full of years; and he was put to rest with his people.
25:9 [hgb]  他 两 个 儿 子 以 撒 ， 以 实 玛 利 把 他 埋 葬 在 麦 比 拉 洞 里 。 这 洞 在 幔 利 前 ， 赫 人 琐 辖 的 儿 子 以 弗 仑 的 田 中 ， 
    [kjv]  And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;
    [bbe]  And Isaac and Ishmael, his sons, put him to rest in the hollow rock of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, near Mamre;
25:10 [hgb]  就 是 亚 伯 拉 罕 向 赫 人 买 的 那 块 田 。 亚 伯 拉 罕 和 他 妻 子 撒 拉 都 葬 在 那 里 。 
    [kjv]  The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
    [bbe]  The same field which Abraham got from the children of Heth: there Abraham was put to rest with Sarah, his wife.
25:11 [hgb]  亚 伯 拉 罕 死 了 以 后 ， 神 赐 福 给 他 的 儿 子 以 撒 。 以 撒 靠 近 庇 耳 拉 海 莱 居 住 。 
    [kjv]  And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi.
    [bbe]  Now after the death of Abraham, the blessing² of God was with Isaac, his son.
25:12 [hgb]  撒 拉 的 使 女 埃 及 人 夏 甲 给 亚 伯 拉 罕 所 生 的 儿 子 是 以 实 玛 利 。 
    [kjv]  Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham:
    [bbe]  Now these are the generations of Ishmael, the son of Abraham, whose mother was Hagar the Egyptian, the servant of Sarah:
25:13 [hgb]  以 实 玛 利 儿 子 们 的 名 字 ， 按 着 他 们 的 家 谱 记 在 下 面 。 以 实 玛 利 的 长 子 是 尼 拜 约 ， 又 有 基 达 ， 亚 德 别 ， 米 比 衫 ， 
    [kjv]  And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
    [bbe]  These are the names of the sons of Ishmael by their generations: Ishmael's first son was Nebaioth; then Kedar and Adbeel and Mibsam
25:14 [hgb]  米 施 玛 ， 度 玛 ， 玛 撒 ， 
    [kjv]  And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
    [bbe]  And Mishma and Dumah and Massa,
25:15 [hgb]  哈 大 ， 提 玛 ， 伊 突 ， 拿 非 施 ， 基 底 玛 。 
    [kjv]  Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
    [bbe]  Hadad and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
25:16 [hgb]  这 是 以 实 玛 利 众 子 的 名 字 ， 照 着 他 们 的 村 庄 ， 营 寨 ， 作 了 十 二 族 的 族 长 。 
    [kjv]  These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.
    [bbe]  These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names in their towns and their tent-circles; twelve chiefs with their peoples.
25:17 [hgb]  以 实 玛 利 享 寿 一 百 三 十 七 岁 ， 气 绝 而 死 ， 归 到 他 列 祖 （ 原 文 作 本 民 ） 那 里 。 
    [kjv]  And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.
    [bbe]  And the years of Ishmael's life were a hundred and thirty-seven: and he came to his end, and was put to rest with his people.
25:18 [hgb]  他 子 孙 的 住 处 在 他 众 弟 兄 东 边 ， 从 哈 腓 拉 直 到 埃 及 前 的 书 珥 ， 正 在 亚 述 的 道 上 。 
    [kjv]  And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.
    [bbe]  And their country was from Havilah to Shur which is east of Egypt: they took their place to the east of all their brothers.
25:19 [hgb]  亚 伯 拉 罕 的 儿 子 以 撒 的 后 代 记 在 下 面 。 亚 伯 拉 罕 生 以 撒 。 
    [kjv]  And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac:
    [bbe]  Now these are the generations of Abraham's son Isaac:
25:20 [hgb]  以 撒 娶 利 百 加 为 妻 的 时 候 正 四 十 岁 。 利 百 加 是 巴 旦 亚 兰 地 的 亚 兰 人 彼 土 利 的 女 儿 ， 是 亚 兰 人 拉 班 的 妹 子 。 
    [kjv]  And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
    [bbe]  Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramaean of Paddan-aram, and the sister of Laban the Aramaean, to be his wife.
25:21 [hgb]  以 撒 因 他 妻 子 不 生 育 ， 就 为 她 祈 求 耶 和 华 。 耶 和 华 应 允 他 的 祈 求 ， 他 的 妻 子 利 百 加 就 怀 了 孕 。 
    [kjv]  And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
    [bbe]  Isaac made prayer to the Lord for his wife because she had no children; and the Lord gave ear to his prayer, and Rebekah became with child.
25:22 [hgb]  孩 子 们 在 她 腹 中 彼 此 相 争 ， 她 就 说 ， 若 是 这 样 ， 我 为 什 么 活 着 呢 ？ （ 或 作 我 为 什 么 如 此 呢 ？ ） 。 她 就 去 求 问 耶 和 华 。 
    [kjv]  And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire³ of the LORD.
    [bbe]  And the children were fighting together inside her, and she said, If it is to be so, why am I like this? So she went to put her question to the Lord.
25:23 [hgb]  耶 和 华 对 她 说 ， 两 国 在 你 腹 内 。 两 族 要 从 你 身 上 出 来 。 这 族 必 强 于 那 族 。 将 来 大 的 要 服 事 小 的 。 
    [kjv]  And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels⁴; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
    [bbe]  And the Lord said to her, Two nations are in your body, and two peoples will come to birth from you: the one will be stronger than the other, and the older will be the servant of the younger.
25:24 [hgb]  生 产 的 日 子 到 了 ， 腹 中 果 然 是 双 子 。 
    [kjv]  And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold⁵, there were twins in her womb.
    [bbe]  And when the time came for her to give birth, there were two children in her body.
25:25 [hgb]  先 产 的 身 体 发 红 ， 浑 身 有 毛 ， 如 同 皮 衣 ， 他 们 就 给 他 起 名 叫 以 扫 （ 以 扫 就 是 有 毛 的 意 思 ） 。 
    [kjv]  And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
    [bbe]  And the first came out red from head to foot like a robe of hair, and they gave him the name of Esau.
25:26 [hgb]  随 后 又 生 了 以 扫 的 兄 弟 ， 手 抓 住 以 扫 的 脚 跟 ， 因 此 给 他 起 名 叫 雅 各 （ 雅 各 就 是 抓 住 的 意 思 ） 。 利 百 加 生 下 两 个 儿 子 的 时 候 ， 以 撒 年 正 六 十 岁 。 
    [kjv]  And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.
    [bbe]  And after him, his brother came out, gripping Esau's foot; and he was named Jacob: Isaac was sixty years old when she gave birth to them.
25:27 [hgb]  两 个 孩 子 渐 渐 长 大 ， 以 扫 善 于 打 猎 ， 常 在 田 野 。 雅 各 为 人 安 静 ， 常 住 在 帐 棚 里 。 
    [kjv]  And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling⁶ in tents.
    [bbe]  And the boys came to full growth; and Esau became a man of the open country, an expert bowman; but Jacob was a quiet man, living in tents.
25:28 [hgb]  以 撒 爱 以 扫 ， 因 为 常 吃 他 的 野 味 。 利 百 加 却 爱 雅 各 。 
    [kjv]  And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.
    [bbe]  Now Isaac's love was for Esau, because Esau's meat was greatly to his taste: but Rebekah had more love for Jacob.
25:29 [hgb]  有 一 天 ， 雅 各 熬 汤 ， 以 扫 从 田 野 回 来 累 昏 了 。 
    [kjv]  And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:
    [bbe]  And one day Jacob was cooking some soup when Esau came in from the fields in great need of food;
25:30 [hgb]  以 扫 对 雅 各 说 ， 我 累 昏 了 ， 求 你 把 这 红 汤 给 我 喝 。 因 此 以 扫 又 叫 以 东 （ 以 东 就 是 红 的 意 思 ） 。 
    [kjv]  And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
    [bbe]  And Esau said to Jacob, Give me a full meal of that red soup, for I am overcome with need for food: for this reason he was named Edom.
25:31 [hgb]  雅 各 说 ， 你 今 日 把 长 子 的 名 分 卖 给 我 吧 。 
    [kjv]  And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
    [bbe]  And Jacob said, First of all give me your birthright.
25:32 [hgb]  以 扫 说 ， 我 将 要 死 ， 这 长 子 的 名 分 于 我 有 什 么 益 处 呢 ？ 
    [kjv]  And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
    [bbe]  And Esau said, Truly, I am at the point of death: what profit is the birthright to me?
25:33 [hgb]  雅 各 说 ， 你 今 日 对 我 起 誓 吧 。 以 扫 就 对 他 起 了 誓 ， 把 长 子 的 名 分 卖 给 雅 各 。 
    [kjv]  And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
    [bbe]  And Jacob said, First of all give me your oath; and he gave him his oath, handing over his birthright to Jacob.
25:34 [hgb]  于 是 雅 各 将 饼 和 红 豆 汤 给 了 以 扫 ， 以 扫 吃 了 喝 了 ， 便 起 来 走 了 。 这 就 是 以 扫 轻 看 了 他 长 子 的 名 分 。 
    [kjv]  Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
    [bbe]  Then Jacob gave him bread and soup; and he took food and drink and went away, caring little for his birthright.
