Chapter 33

33:1 [hgb]  耶 和 华 吩 咐 摩 西 说 ， 我 曾 起 誓 应 许 亚 伯 拉 罕 ， 以 撒 ， 雅 各 说 ， 要 将 迦 南 地 赐 给 你 的 后 裔 。 现 在 你 和 你 从 埃 及 地 所 领 出 来 的 百 姓 ， 要 从 这 里 往 那 地 去 。 
    [kjv]  And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:
    [bbe]  And the Lord said to Moses, Go forward from this place, you and the people whom you have taken up out of the land of Egypt, to that land about which I made an oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, To your seed will I give it.
33:2 [hgb]  我 要 差 遣 使 者 在 你 前 面 ， 撵 出 迦 南 人 ， 亚 摩 利 人 ， 赫 人 ， 比 利 洗 人 ， 希 未 人 ， 耶 布 斯 人 ， 
    [kjv]  And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:
    [bbe]  And I will send an angel before you, driving out the Canaanite and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite:
33:3 [hgb]  领 你 到 那 流 奶 与 蜜 之 地 。 我 自 己 不 同 你 们 上 去 ， 因 为 你 们 是 硬 着 颈 项 的 百 姓 ， 恐 怕 我 在 路 上 把 你 们 灭 绝 。 
    [kjv]  Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.
    [bbe]  Go up to that land flowing with milk and honey; but I will not go up among you, for you are a stiff-necked people, for fear that I send destruction on you while you are on the way.
33:4 [hgb]  百 姓 听 见 这 凶 信 就 悲 哀 ， 也 没 有 人 佩 戴 妆 饰 。 
    [kjv]  And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments¹.
    [bbe]  Hearing this bad news the people were full of grief, and no one put on his ornaments.
33:5 [hgb]  耶 和 华 对 摩 西 说 ， 你 告 诉 以 色 列 人 说 ， 耶 和 华 说 ， 你 们 是 硬 着 颈 项 的 百 姓 ， 我 若 一 霎 时 临 到 你 们 中 间 ， 必 灭 绝 你 们 。 现 在 你 们 要 把 身 上 的 妆 饰 摘 下 来 ， 使 我 可 以 知 道 怎 样 待 你 们 。 
    [kjv]  For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
    [bbe]  And the Lord said to Moses, Say to the children of Israel, You are a stiff-necked people: if I come among you, even for a minute, I will send destruction on you; so take off all your ornaments, so that I may see what to do with you.
33:6 [hgb]  以 色 列 人 从 住 何 烈 山 以 后 ， 就 把 身 上 的 妆 饰 摘 得 干 净 。 
    [kjv]  And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.
    [bbe]  So the children of Israel took off their ornaments at Mount Horeb, and did not put them on again.
33:7 [hgb]  摩 西 素 常 将 帐 棚 支 搭 在 营 外 ， 离 营 却 远 ， 他 称 这 帐 棚 为 会 幕 。 凡 求 问 耶 和 华 的 ， 就 到 营 外 的 会 幕 那 里 去 。 
    [kjv]  And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.
    [bbe]  Now it was Moses' way to put up the Tent of meeting outside the tent-circle, at some distance away; giving it the name of The Tent of meeting. And everyone desiring to make his prayer to the Lord went to the Tent of meeting outside the tent-circle.
33:8 [hgb]  当 摩 西 出 营 到 会 幕 去 的 时 候 ， 百 姓 就 都 起 来 ， 各 人 站 在 自 己 帐 棚 的 门 口 ， 望 着 摩 西 ， 直 等 到 他 进 了 会 幕 。 
    [kjv]  And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.
    [bbe]  And whenever Moses went out to the Tent of meeting, all the people got up and everyone went to the door of his tent, looking after Moses till he went inside the Tent.
33:9 [hgb]  摩 西 进 会 幕 的 时 候 ， 云 柱 降 下 来 ， 立 在 会 幕 的 门 前 ， 耶 和 华 便 与 摩 西 说 话 。 
    [kjv]  And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended², and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses.
    [bbe]  And whenever Moses went into the Tent, the pillar of cloud came down, and took its place by the door of the Tent, as long as the Lord was talking with Moses.
33:10 [hgb]  众 百 姓 看 见 云 柱 立 在 会 幕 门 前 ， 就 都 起 来 ， 各 人 在 自 己 帐 棚 的 门 口 下 拜 。 
    [kjv]  And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.
    [bbe]  And all the people saw the cloud at the door of the Tent, and they went down on their faces, everyone at the door of his tent.
33:11 [hgb]  耶 和 华 与 摩 西 面 对 面 说 话 ， 好 像 人 与 朋 友 说 话 一 般 。 摩 西 转 到 营 里 去 ， 惟 有 他 的 帮 手 ， 一 个 少 年 人 嫩 的 儿 子 约 书 亚 ， 不 离 开 会 幕 。 
    [kjv]  And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun³, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
    [bbe]  And the Lord had talk with Moses face to face, as a man may have talk with his friend. And when Moses came back to the tents, his servant, the young man Joshua, the son of Nun, did not come away from the Tent.
33:12 [hgb]  摩 西 对 耶 和 华 说 ， 你 吩 咐 我 说 ， 将 这 百 姓 领 上 去 ， 却 没 有 叫 我 知 道 你 要 打 发 谁 与 我 同 去 ， 只 说 ， 我 按 你 的 名 认 识 你 ， 你 在 我 眼 前 也 蒙 了 恩 。 
    [kjv]  And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt⁴ send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
    [bbe]  And Moses said to the Lord, See, you say to me, Be this people's guide on their journey, but you have not made clear to me whom you will send with me. But you have said, I have knowledge of you by name, and you have grace in my eyes.
33:13 [hgb]  我 如 今 若 在 你 眼 前 蒙 恩 ， 求 你 将 你 的 道 指 示 我 ， 使 我 可 以 认 识 你 ， 好 在 你 眼 前 蒙 恩 。 求 你 想 到 这 民 是 你 的 民 。 
    [kjv]  Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
    [bbe]  If then I have grace in your eyes, let me see your ways, so that I may have knowledge of you and be certain of your grace; and my prayer is that you will keep in mind that this nation is your people.
33:14 [hgb]  耶 和 华 说 ， 我 必 亲 自 和 你 同 去 ， 使 你 得 安 息 。 
    [kjv]  And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
    [bbe]  And he said, I myself will go with you and give you rest.
33:15 [hgb]  摩 西 说 ， 你 若 不 亲 自 和 我 同 去 ， 就 不 要 把 我 们 从 这 里 领 上 去 。 
    [kjv]  And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
    [bbe]  And Moses said, If you yourself are not going with us, do not send us on from here.
33:16 [hgb]  人 在 何 事 上 得 以 知 道 我 和 你 的 百 姓 在 你 眼 前 蒙 恩 呢 ？ 岂 不 是 因 你 与 我 们 同 去 ， 使 我 和 你 的 百 姓 与 地 上 的 万 民 有 分 别 吗 ？ 
    [kjv]  For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
    [bbe]  For is not the fact of your going with us the sign that I and this people have grace in your eyes, so that we, that is, I and your people, are separate from all other people on the face of the earth?
33:17 [hgb]  耶 和 华 对 摩 西 说 ， 你 这 所 求 的 我 也 要 行 ， 因 为 你 在 我 眼 前 蒙 了 恩 ， 并 且 我 按 你 的 名 认 识 你 。 
    [kjv]  And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
    [bbe]  And the Lord said to Moses, I will do as you say: for you have grace in my eyes, and I have knowledge of you by your name.
33:18 [hgb]  摩 西 说 ， 求 你 显 出 你 的 荣 耀 给 我 看 。 
    [kjv]  And he said, I beseech⁵ thee, shew me thy glory.
    [bbe]  And Moses said, O Lord, let me see your glory.
33:19 [hgb]  耶 和 华 说 ， 我 要 显 我 一 切 的 恩 慈 ， 在 你 面 前 经 过 ， 宣 告 我 的 名 。 我 要 恩 待 谁 就 恩 待 谁 ， 要 怜 悯 谁 就 怜 悯 谁 ， 
    [kjv]  And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
    [bbe]  And he said, I will make all the light of my being come before you, and will make clear to you what I am; I will be kind to those to whom I will be kind, and have mercy on those on whom I will have mercy.
33:20 [hgb]  又 说 ， 你 不 能 看 见 我 的 面 ， 因 为 人 见 我 的 面 不 能 存 活 。 
    [kjv]  And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
    [bbe]  But it is not possible for you to see my face, for no man may see me and still go on living.
33:21 [hgb]  耶 和 华 说 ， 看 哪 ， 在 我 这 里 有 地 方 ， 你 要 站 在 磐 石 上 。 
    [kjv]  And the LORD said, Behold⁶, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
    [bbe]  And the Lord said, See, there is a place near me, and you may take your place on the rock:
33:22 [hgb]  我 的 荣 耀 经 过 的 时 候 ， 我 必 将 你 放 在 磐 石 穴 中 ， 用 我 的 手 遮 掩 你 ， 等 我 过 去 ， 
    [kjv]  And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
    [bbe]  And when my glory goes by, I will put you in a hole in the rock, covering you with my hand till I have gone past:
33:23 [hgb]  然 后 我 要 将 我 的 手 收 回 ， 你 就 得 见 我 的 背 ， 却 不 得 见 我 的 面 。 
    [kjv]  And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
    [bbe]  Then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back: but my face is not to be seen.
