Chapter 37

37:1 [hgb]  比 撒 列 用 皂 荚 木 作 柜 ， 长 二 肘 半 ， 宽 一 肘 半 ， 高 一 肘 半 。 
    [kjv]  And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:
    [bbe]  And Bezalel made the ark of hard wood, two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide and a cubit and a half high;
37:2 [hgb]  里 外 包 上 精 金 ， 四 围 镶 上 金 牙 边 ， 
    [kjv]  And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.
    [bbe]  Plating it inside and out with the best gold, and putting an edge of gold all round it.
37:3 [hgb]  又 铸 四 个 金 环 ， 安 在 柜 的 四 脚 上 ， 这 边 两 环 ， 那 边 两 环 。 
    [kjv]  And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.
    [bbe]  And he made four gold rings for its four angles, two on one side and two on the other,
37:4 [hgb]  用 皂 荚 木 作 两 根 杠 ， 用 金 包 裹 。 
    [kjv]  And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.
    [bbe]  And rods of the same wood plated with gold.
37:5 [hgb]  把 杠 穿 在 柜 旁 的 环 内 ， 以 便 抬 柜 。 
    [kjv]  And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.
    [bbe]  These rods he put in the rings at the sides of the ark, for lifting it.
37:6 [hgb]  用 精 金 作 施 恩 座 ， 长 二 肘 半 ， 宽 一 肘 半 。 
    [kjv]  And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
    [bbe]  And he made the cover all of gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
37:7 [hgb]  用 金 子 锤 出 两 个 基 路 伯 来 ， 安 在 施 恩 座 的 两 头 ， 
    [kjv]  And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;
    [bbe]  And he made two winged ones, hammered out of one bit of gold, for the two ends of the cover;
37:8 [hgb]  这 头 作 一 个 基 路 伯 ， 那 头 作 一 个 基 路 伯 ， 二 基 路 伯 接 连 一 块 ， 在 施 恩 座 的 两 头 。 
    [kjv]  One cherub¹ on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
    [bbe]  Placing one at one end and one at the other; the winged ones were part of the cover.
37:9 [hgb]  二 基 路 伯 高 张 翅 膀 ， 遮 掩 施 恩 座 ， 基 路 伯 是 脸 对 脸 ， 朝 着 施 恩 座 。 
    [kjv]  And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.
    [bbe]  And their wings were stretched out over the cover; the faces of the winged ones were opposite one another and facing the cover.
37:10 [hgb]  他 用 皂 荚 木 作 一 张 桌 子 ， 长 二 肘 ， 宽 一 肘 ， 高 一 肘 半 ， 
    [kjv]  And he made the table of shittim wood: two cubits was the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof:
    [bbe]  And he made the table of hard wood, two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high;
37:11 [hgb]  又 包 上 精 金 ， 四 围 镶 上 金 牙 边 。 
    [kjv]  And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made thereunto a crown of gold round about.
    [bbe]  Plating it with the best gold and putting a gold edge all round it.
37:12 [hgb]  桌 子 的 四 围 各 作 一 掌 宽 的 横 梁 ， 横 梁 上 镶 着 金 牙 边 ， 
    [kjv]  Also he made thereunto a border of an handbreadth round about; and made a crown of gold for the border thereof round about.
    [bbe]  And he made a frame all round it about as wide as a man's hand, edged with gold all round.
37:13 [hgb]  又 铸 了 四 个 金 环 ， 安 在 桌 子 四 脚 的 四 角 上 。 
    [kjv]  And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet thereof.
    [bbe]  And he made four gold rings, and put the rings at the angles of its four feet.
37:14 [hgb]  安 环 子 的 地 方 是 挨 近 横 梁 ， 可 以 穿 杠 抬 桌 子 。 
    [kjv]  Over against the border were the rings, the places for the staves to bear the table.
    [bbe]  The rings were fixed² under the frame to take the rods with which the table was to be lifted.
37:15 [hgb]  他 用 皂 荚 木 作 两 根 杠 ， 用 金 包 裹 ， 以 便 抬 桌 子 ， 
    [kjv]  And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table.
    [bbe]  The rods for lifting the table he made of hard wood plated with gold.
37:16 [hgb]  又 用 精 金 作 桌 子 上 的 器 皿 ， 就 是 盘 子 ， 调 羹 ， 并 奠 酒 的 瓶 和 爵 。 
    [kjv]  And he made the vessels³ which were upon the table, his dishes, and his spoons, and his bowls, and his covers to cover withal, of pure gold.
    [bbe]  And all the table-vessels, the plates and spoons and basins and the cups for liquids, he made of the best gold.
37:17 [hgb]  他 用 精 金 作 一 个 灯 台 ， 这 灯 台 的 座 和 干 ， 与 杯 ， 球 ， 花 ， 都 是 接 连 一 块 锤 出 来 的 。 
    [kjv]  And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft⁴, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same:
    [bbe]  Then he made the support for the lights, all of the best gold; its base and its pillar were of hammered gold; its cups and buds and flowers were all made out of the same metal:
37:18 [hgb]  灯 台 两 旁 杈 出 六 个 枝 子 ， 这 旁 三 个 ， 那 旁 三 个 。 
    [kjv]  And six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof:
    [bbe]  It had six branches coming out from its sides, three from one side and three from the other;
37:19 [hgb]  这 旁 每 枝 上 有 三 个 杯 ， 形 状 像 杏 花 ， 有 球 有 花 ， 那 旁 每 枝 上 也 有 三 个 杯 ， 形 状 像 杏 花 ， 有 球 有 花 。 从 灯 台 杈 出 来 的 六 个 枝 子 都 是 如 此 。 
    [kjv]  Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick.
    [bbe]  Every branch having three cups made like almond flowers, every cup with a bud and a flower on all the branches;
37:20 [hgb]  灯 台 上 有 四 个 杯 ， 形 状 像 杏 花 ， 有 球 有 花 。 
    [kjv]  And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers:
    [bbe]  And on its pillar, four cups like almond flowers, every one with its bud and its flower;
37:21 [hgb]  灯 台 每 两 个 枝 子 以 下 有 球 ， 与 枝 子 接 连 一 块 ， 灯 台 杈 出 的 六 个 枝 子 都 是 如 此 。 
    [kjv]  And a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it.
    [bbe]  And under every two branches a bud, made with the branch, for all six branches of it.
37:22 [hgb]  球 和 枝 子 是 接 连 一 块 ， 都 是 一 块 精 金 锤 出 来 的 。 
    [kjv]  Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.
    [bbe]  The buds and the branches were made of the same metal, all together one complete work of the best hammered gold.
37:23 [hgb]  用 精 金 作 灯 台 的 七 个 灯 盏 ， 并 灯 台 的 蜡 剪 和 蜡 花 盘 。 
    [kjv]  And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold.
    [bbe]  And he made the seven vessels for the lights, and all the necessary instruments for it, of gold.
37:24 [hgb]  他 用 精 金 一 他 连 得 作 灯 台 和 灯 台 的 一 切 器 具 。 
    [kjv]  Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.
    [bbe]  A talent of the best gold was used for the making of it and its vessels.
37:25 [hgb]  他 用 皂 荚 木 作 香 坛 ， 是 四 方 的 ， 长 一 肘 ， 宽 一 肘 ， 高 二 肘 ， 坛 的 四 角 与 坛 接 连 一 块 ， 
    [kjv]  And he made the incense⁵ altar of shittim wood: the length of it was a cubit, and the breadth of it a cubit; it was foursquare; and two cubits was the height of it; the horns thereof were of the same.
    [bbe]  And he made the altar for the burning of spices, using the same hard wood; it was square, a cubit long and a cubit wide and two cubits high; the horns made of the same.
37:26 [hgb]  又 用 精 金 把 坛 的 上 面 与 坛 的 四 面 并 坛 的 四 角 包 裹 ， 又 在 坛 的 四 围 镶 上 金 牙 边 。 
    [kjv]  And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.
    [bbe]  The top and the sides and the horns were all plated with the best gold; and he put an edge of gold all round it.
37:27 [hgb]  作 两 个 金 环 ， 安 在 牙 子 边 以 下 ， 在 坛 的 两 旁 ， 两 根 横 撑 上 ， 作 为 穿 杠 的 用 处 ， 以 便 抬 坛 。 
    [kjv]  And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides thereof, to be places for the staves to bear it withal.
    [bbe]  And he made two gold rings, placing them on the two opposite sides under the edge, to take the rods for lifting it.
37:28 [hgb]  用 皂 荚 木 作 杠 ， 用 金 包 裹 。 
    [kjv]  And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.
    [bbe]  The rods he made of the same hard wood, plating them with gold.
37:29 [hgb]  又 按 作 香 之 法 作 圣 膏 油 和 馨 香 料 的 净 香 。 
    [kjv]  And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary⁶.
    [bbe]  And he made the holy oil and the perfume of sweet spices for burning, after the art of the perfume-maker.

1 cherub
