Chapter 1
1:1 [hgb]  大 利 乌 王 第 二 年 六 月 初 一 日 ， 耶 和 华 的 话 借 先 知 哈 该 ， 向 犹 大 省 长 撒 拉 铁 的 儿 子 所 罗 巴 伯 和 约 撒 答 的 儿 子 大 祭 司 约 书 亚 说 ，      [kjv]  In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,     [bbe]  In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, ruler of Judah, and to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying, 1:2 [hgb]  万 军 之 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ， 这 百 姓 说 ， 建 造 耶 和 华 殿 的 时 候 尚 未 来 到 。      [kjv]  Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD's house should be built.     [bbe]  These are the words of the Lord of armies: These people say, The time has not come for building the Lord's house. 1:3 [hgb]  那 时 耶 和 华 的 话 临 到 先 知 哈 该 说 ，      [kjv]  Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,     [bbe]  Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 1:4 [hgb]  这 殿 仍 然 荒 凉 ， 你 们 自 己 还 住 天 花 板 的 房 屋 吗 ？      [kjv]  Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?     [bbe]  Is it a time for you to be living in roofed houses while this house is a waste? 1:5 [hgb]  现 在 万 军 之 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ， 你 们 要 省 察 自 己 的 行 为 。      [kjv]  Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.     [bbe]  For this cause the Lord of armies has said, Give thought to your ways. 1:6 [hgb]  你 们 撒 的 种 多 ， 收 的 却 少 。 你 们 吃 ， 却 不 得 饱 。 喝 ， 却 不 得 足 。 穿 衣 服 ， 却 不 得 暖 。 得 工 钱 的 ， 将 工 钱 装 在 破 漏 的 囊 中 。      [kjv]  Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.     [bbe]  Much has been planted, but little got in; you take food, but have not enough; you take drink, but are not full; you are clothed, but no one is warm; and he who gets payment for his work, gets it to put it into a bag full of holes. 1:7 [hgb]  万 军 之 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ， 你 们 要 省 察 自 己 的 行 为 。      [kjv]  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.     [bbe]  This is what the Lord of armies has said: Give thought to your ways. 1:8 [hgb]  你 们 要 上 山 取 木 料 ， 建 造 这 殿 。 我 就 因 此 喜 乐 ， 且 得 荣 耀 。 这 是 耶 和 华 说 的 。      [kjv]  Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.     [bbe]  Go up to the hills and get wood and put up the house; and I will take pleasure in it and be honoured, says the Lord. 1:9 [hgb]  你 们 盼 望 多 得 ， 所 得 的 却 少 。 你 们 收 到 家 中 ， 我 就 吹 去 。 这 是 为 什 么 呢 ？ 因 为 我 的 殿 荒 凉 ， 你 们 各 人 却 顾 自 己 的 房 屋 （ 顾 原 文 作 奔 ） 。 这 是 万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 的 。      [kjv]  Ye looked for much, and lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.     [bbe]  You were looking for much, and it came to little; and when you got it into your house, I took it away with a breath. Why? says the Lord of armies. Because of my house which is a waste, while every man takes care of the house which is his. 1:10 [hgb]  所 以 为 你 们 的 缘 故 ， 天 就 不 降 甘 露 ， 地 也 不 出 土 产 。      [kjv]  Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.     [bbe]  For this cause the heaven over you is kept from giving dew, and the earth from giving her fruit. 1:11 [hgb]  我 命 干 旱 临 到 地 土 ， 山 冈 ， 五 谷 ， 新 酒 ， 和 油 ， 并 地 上 的 出 产 ， 人 民 ， 牲 畜 ， 以 及 人 手 一 切 劳 碌 得 来 的 。      [kjv]  And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.     [bbe]  And by my order no rain came on the land or on the mountains or the grain or the wine or the oil or the produce of the earth or on men or cattle or on any work of man's hands. 1:12 [hgb]  那 时 ， 撒 拉 铁 的 儿 子 所 罗 巴 伯 ， 和 约 撒 答 的 儿 子 大 祭 司 约 书 亚 ， 并 剩 下 的 百 姓 ， 都 听 从 耶 和 华 他 们 神 的 话 ， 和 先 知 哈 该 奉 耶 和 华 他 们 神 差 来 所 说 的 话 。 百 姓 也 在 耶 和 华 面 前 存 敬 畏 的 心 。      [kjv]  Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.     [bbe]  Then Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all the rest of the people, gave ear to the voice of the Lord their God and to the words of Haggai the prophet, because the Lord their God had sent him, and the people were in fear before the Lord. 1:13 [hgb]  耶 和 华 的 使 者 哈 该 ， 奉 耶 和 华 差 遣 对 百 姓 说 ， 耶 和 华 说 ， 我 与 你 们 同 在 。      [kjv]  Then spake Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.     [bbe]  Then Haggai, whom the Lord had sent to give his words to the people, said, I am with you, says the Lord. 1:14 [hgb]  耶 和 华 激 动 犹 大 省 长 撒 拉 铁 的 儿 子 所 罗 巴 伯 ， 和 约 撒 答 的 儿 子 大 祭 司 约 书 亚 ， 并 剩 下 之 百 姓 的 心 。 他 们 就 来 为 万 军 之 耶 和 华 他 们 神 的 殿 做 工 。      [kjv]  And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,     [bbe]  And the spirit of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, ruler of Judah, was moved by the Lord, as was the spirit of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the rest of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the Lord of armies, their God. 1:15 [hgb]  这 是 在 大 利 乌 王 第 二 年 六 月 二 十 四 日 。      [kjv]  In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.     [bbe]  On the twenty-fourth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.  
Chapter 2
2:1 [hgb]  七 月 二 十 一 日 ， 耶 和 华 的 话 临 到 先 知 哈 该 说 ，      [kjv]  In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,     [bbe]  In the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 2:2 [hgb]  你 要 晓 谕 犹 大 省 长 撒 拉 铁 的 儿 子 所 罗 巴 伯 ， 和 约 撒 答 的 儿 子 大 祭 司 约 书 亚 。 并 剩 下 的 百 姓 ， 说 ，      [kjv]  Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,     [bbe]  Say now to Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, ruler of Judah, and to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the rest of the people, 2:3 [hgb]  你 们 中 间 存 留 的 ， 有 谁 见 过 这 殿 从 前 的 荣 耀 呢 ？ 现 在 你 们 看 着 如 何 ？ 岂 不 在 眼 中 看 如 无 有 吗 ？      [kjv]  Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?     [bbe]  Who is there still among you who saw this house in its first glory? and how do you see it now? is it not in your eyes as nothing? 2:4 [hgb]  耶 和 华 说 ， 所 罗 巴 伯 阿 ， 虽 然 如 此 ， 你 当 刚 强 。 约 撒 答 的 儿 子 大 祭 司 约 书 亚 阿 ， 你 也 当 刚 强 。 这 地 的 百 姓 ， 你 们 都 当 刚 强 做 工 ， 因 为 我 与 你 们 同 在 。 这 是 万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 的 。      [kjv]  Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:     [bbe]  But now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says the Lord; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says the Lord, and get to work: for I am with you, says the Lord of armies: 2:5 [hgb]  这 是 照 着 你 们 出 埃 及 我 与 你 们 立 约 的 话 。 那 时 ， 我 的 灵 住 在 你 们 中 间 。 你 们 不 要 惧 怕 。      [kjv]  According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.     [bbe]  The agreement which I made with you when you came out of Egypt, and my spirit, are with you still; have no fear. 2:6 [hgb]  万 军 之 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ， 过 不 多 时 ， 我 必 再 一 次 震 动 天 地 ， 沧 海 ， 与 旱 地 。      [kjv]  For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;     [bbe]  For this is what the Lord of armies has said: In a short time I will make a shaking of the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land; 2:7 [hgb]  我 必 震 动 万 国 。 万 国 的 珍 宝 必 都 运 来 （ 或 作 万 国 所 羡 慕 的 必 来 到 ） ， 我 就 使 这 殿 满 了 荣 耀 。 这 是 万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 的 。      [kjv]  And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.     [bbe]  And I will make a shaking of all the nations, and the desired things of all nations will come: and I will make this house full of my glory, says the Lord of armies. 2:8 [hgb]  万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 ， 银 子 是 我 的 ， 金 子 也 是 我 的 。      [kjv]  The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.     [bbe]  The silver is mine and the gold is mine, says the Lord of armies. 2:9 [hgb]  这 殿 后 来 的 荣 耀 ， 必 大 过 先 前 的 荣 耀 。 在 这 地 方 我 必 赐 平 安 。 这 是 万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 的 。      [kjv]  The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.     [bbe]  The second glory of this house will be greater than the first, says the Lord of armies: and in this place I will give peace, says the Lord of armies. 2:10 [hgb]  大 利 乌 王 第 二 年 ， 九 月 二 十 四 日 ， 耶 和 华 的 话 临 到 先 知 哈 该 说 ，      [kjv]  In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,     [bbe]  On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 2:11 [hgb]  万 军 之 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ， 你 要 向 祭 司 问 律 法 ，      [kjv]  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,     [bbe]  These are the words of the Lord of armies: Put now a point of law to the priests, saying, 2:12 [hgb]  说 ， 若 有 人 用 衣 襟 兜 圣 肉 ， 这 衣 襟 挨 着 饼 ， 或 汤 ， 或 酒 ， 或 油 ， 或 别 的 食 物 ， 便 算 为 圣 吗 ？ 祭 司 说 ， 不 算 为 圣 。      [kjv]  If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.     [bbe]  If anyone has some holy flesh folded in the skirt of his robe, will bread or soup or wine or oil or any other food be made holy if touched by his skirt? And the priests answering said, No. 2:13 [hgb]  哈 该 又 说 ， 若 有 人 因 摸 死 尸 染 了 污 秽 ， 然 后 挨 着 这 些 物 的 那 一 样 ， 这 物 算 污 秽 吗 ？ 祭 司 说 ， 必 算 污 秽 。      [kjv]  Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.     [bbe]  Then Haggai said, Will any of these be made unclean by the touch of one who is unclean through touching a dead body? And the priests answering said, It will be made unclean. 2:14 [hgb]  于 是 哈 该 说 ， 耶 和 华 说 ， 这 民 这 国 ， 在 我 面 前 也 是 如 此 。 他 们 手 下 的 各 样 工 作 ， 都 是 如 此 。 他 们 在 坛 上 所 献 的 也 是 如 此 。      [kjv]  Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.     [bbe]  Then Haggai said, So is this people and so is this nation before me, says the Lord; and so is every work of their hands; and the offering they give there is unclean. 2:15 [hgb]  现 在 你 们 要 追 想 ， 此 日 以 前 ， 耶 和 华 的 殿 ， 没 有 一 块 石 头 垒 在 石 头 上 的 光 景 。      [kjv]  And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:     [bbe]  And now, give thought, looking back from this day to the time before one stone was put on another in the Temple of the Lord: 2:16 [hgb]  在 那 一 切 日 子 ， 有 人 来 到 谷 堆 ， 想 得 二 十 斗 ， 只 得 了 十 斗 。 有 人 来 到 酒 池 ， 想 得 五 十 桶 ， 只 得 了 二 十 桶 。      [kjv]  Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty.     [bbe]  How, when anyone came to a store of twenty measures, there were only ten: when anyone went to the wine-store to get fifty vessels full, there were only twenty. 2:17 [hgb]  在 你 们 手 下 的 各 样 工 作 上 ， 我 以 旱 风 ， 霉 烂 ， 冰 雹 ， 攻 击 你 们 。 你 们 仍 不 归 向 我 。 这 是 耶 和 华 说 的 。      [kjv]  I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.     [bbe]  And I sent burning and wasting and a rain of ice-drops on all the works of your hands; but still you were not turned to me, says the Lord. 2:18 [hgb]  你 们 要 追 想 此 日 以 前 ， 就 是 从 这 九 月 二 十 四 日 起 ， 追 想 到 立 耶 和 华 殿 根 基 的 日 子 。      [kjv]  Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid, consider it.     [bbe]  And now, give thought; looking on from this day, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the time when the base of the Lord's house was put in its place, give thought to it. 2:19 [hgb]  仓 里 有 谷 种 吗 ？ 葡 萄 树 ， 无 花 果 树 ， 石 榴 树 ， 橄 榄 树 都 没 有 结 果 子 。 从 今 日 起 ， 我 必 赐 福 与 你 们 。      [kjv]  Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.     [bbe]  Is the seed still in the store-house? have the vine and the fig-tree, the pomegranate and the olive-tree, still not given their fruit? from this day I will send my blessing on you. 2:20 [hgb]  这 月 二 十 四 日 ， 耶 和 华 的 话 二 次 临 到 哈 该 说 ，      [kjv]  And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,     [bbe]  And the word of the Lord came a second time to Haggai, on the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying, 2:21 [hgb]  你 要 告 诉 犹 大 省 长 所 罗 巴 伯 说 ， 我 必 震 动 天 地 。      [kjv]  Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;     [bbe]  Say to Zerubbabel, ruler of Judah, I will make a shaking of the heavens and the earth, 2:22 [hgb]  我 必 倾 覆 列 国 的 宝 座 ， 除 灭 列 邦 的 势 力 ， 并 倾 覆 战 车 ， 和 坐 在 其 上 的 。 马 必 跌 倒 ， 骑 马 的 败 落 ， 各 人 被 弟 兄 的 刀 所 杀 。      [kjv]  And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.     [bbe]  Overturning the power of kingdoms; and I will send destruction on the strength of the kingdoms of the nations; by me war-carriages will be overturned with those who are in them; and the horses and the horsemen will come down, everyone by the sword of his brother. 2:23 [hgb]  万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 ， 我 仆 人 撒 拉 铁 的 儿 子 所 罗 巴 伯 阿 ， 到 那 日 ， 我 必 以 你 为 印 ， 因 我 拣 选 了 你 。 这 是 万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 的 。      [kjv]  In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.     [bbe]  In that day, says the Lord of armies, I will take you, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, says the Lord, and will make you as a jewelled ring: for I have taken you to be mine, says the Lord of armies.
