[kjv] This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.

[kjv] And there went up some of the children of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, unto Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.

[kjv] And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king.

[kjv] For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
[bbe] For, starting his journey from Babylon on the first day of the first month, he came to Jerusalem on the first day of the fifth month, by the good help of his God.
7:10 [hgb] 以 斯 拉 定 志 考 究 遵 行 耶 和 华 的 律 法 ， 又 将 律 例 典 章 教 训 以 色 列 人 。
[kjv] For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes2 and judgments3.
[bbe] For Ezra had given his mind to learning the law of the Lord and doing it, and to teaching his rules and decisions in Israel.
7:11 [hgb] 祭 司 以 斯 拉 是 通 达 耶 和 华 诫 命 ， 和 赐 以 色 列 之 律 例 的 文 士 。 亚 达 薛 西 王 赐 给 他 谕 旨 ， 上 面 写 着 说 ，
[kjv] Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel.
[bbe] Now this is a copy of the letter which King Artaxerxes gave to Ezra, the priest and the scribe, who put into writing the words of the orders of the Lord, and of his rules for Israel:
7:12 [hgb] 诸 王 之 王 亚 达 薛 西 ， 达 于 祭 司 以 斯 拉 通 达 天 上 神 律 法 大 德 的 文 士 ， 云 云 。
[kjv] Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.
[bbe] Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, scribe of the law of the God of heaven, all peace;
7:13 [hgb] 住 在 我 国 中 的 以 色 列 人 ， 祭 司 ， 利 未 人 ， 凡 甘 心 上 耶 路 撒 冷 去 的 ， 我 降 旨 准 他 们 与 你 同 去 。
[kjv] I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.
[bbe] And now it is my order that all those of the people of Israel, and their priests and Levites in my kingdom, who are ready and have a desire to go to Jerusalem, are to go with you.
7:14 [hgb] 王 与 七 个 谋 士 既 然 差 你 去 ， 照 你 手 中 神 的 律 法 书 ， 察 问 犹 大 ， 和 耶 路 撒 冷 的 景 况 。
[kjv] Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counsellors, to enquire5 concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand;
[bbe] Because you are sent by the king and his seven wise men, to get knowledge about Judah and Jerusalem, as you are ordered by the law of your God which is in your hand;
7:15 [hgb] 又 带 金 银 ， 就 是 王 和 谋 士 甘 心 献 给 住 耶 路 撒 冷 ， 以 色 列 神 的 ，
[kjv] And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,
[bbe] And to take with you the silver and gold freely offered by the king and his wise men to the God of Israel, whose Temple is in Jerusalem,
7:16 [hgb] 并 带 你 在 巴 比 伦 全 省 所 得 的 金 银 ， 和 百 姓 ， 祭 司 乐 意 献 给 耶 路 撒 冷 他 们 神 殿 的 礼 物 。
[kjv] And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem:
[bbe] As well as all the silver and gold which you get from the land of Babylon, together with the offering of the people and of the priests, freely given for the house of their God, which is in Jerusalem:
7:17 [hgb] 所 以 你 当 用 这 金 银 ， 急 速 买 公 牛 ， 公 绵 羊 ， 绵 羊 羔 ， 和 同 献 的 素 祭 奠 祭 之 物 ， 献 在 耶 路 撒 冷 你 们 神 殿 的 坛 上 。
[kjv] That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams6, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.
[bbe] So with this money get with care oxen, sheep, and lambs, with their meal offerings and their drink offerings, to be offered on the altar of the house of your God, which is in Jerusalem.
7:18 [hgb] 剩 下 的 金 银 ， 你 和 你 的 弟 兄 看 着 怎 样 好 ， 就 怎 样 用 ， 总 要 遵 着 你 们 神 的 旨 意 。
[kjv] And whatsoever7 shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.
[bbe] And whatever seems right to you and to your brothers to do with the rest of the silver and gold, that do, as may be pleasing to your God.
7:19 [hgb] 所 交 给 你 神 殿 中 使 用 的 器 皿 ， 你 要 交 在 耶 路 撒 冷 神 面 前 。
[kjv] The vessels8 also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.
[bbe] And the vessels which have been given to you for the uses of the house of your God, you are to give to the God of Jerusalem.
7:20 [hgb] 你 神 殿 里 若 再 有 需 用 的 经 费 ， 你 可 以 从 王 的 府 库 里 支 取 。
[kjv] And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow9, bestow it out of the king's treasure house.
[bbe] And whatever more is needed for the house of your God, and which you may have to give, take it from the king's store-house.
7:21 [hgb] 我 亚 达 薛 西 王 又 降 旨 与 河 西 的 一 切 库 官 ， 说 ， 通 达 天 上 神 律 法 的 文 士 祭 司 以 斯 拉 ， 无 论 向 你 们 要 什 么 ， 你 们 要 速 速 地 备 办 ，
[kjv] And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers10 which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
[bbe] And I, even I, Artaxerxes the king, now give orders to all keepers of the king's money across the river, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, may have need of from you, is to be done with all care,
7:22 [hgb] 就 是 银 子 直 到 一 百 他 连 得 ， 麦 子 一 百 柯 珥 ， 酒 一 百 吧 特 ， 油 一 百 吧 特 ， 盐 不 计 其 数 ， 也 要 给 他 。
[kjv] Unto an hundred talents of silver, and to an hundred measures of wheat, and to an hundred baths of wine, and to an hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.
[bbe] Up to a hundred talents of silver, a hundred measures of grain, a hundred measures of wine, and a hundred measures of oil, and salt without measure.
7:23 [hgb] 凡 天 上 之 神 所 吩 咐 的 ， 当 为 天 上 神 的 殿 详 细 办 理 。 为 何 使 忿 怒 临 到 王 和 王 众 子 的 国 呢 ？
[kjv] Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently11 done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath12 against the realm of the king and his sons?
[bbe] Whatever is ordered by the God of heaven, let it be done completely for the house of the God of heaven; so that there may not be wrath against the kingdom of the king and his sons.
7:24 [hgb] 我 又 晓 谕 你 们 ， 至 于 祭 司 ， 利 未 人 ， 歌 唱 的 ， 守 门 的 ， 和 尼 提 宁 ， 并 在 神 殿 当 差 的 人 ， 不 可 叫 他 们 进 贡 ， 交 课 ， 纳 税 。
[kjv] Also we certify13 you, that touching14 any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful15 to impose toll16, tribute, or custom, upon them.
[bbe] In addition, we make it clear to you, that it will be against the law to put any tax or payment in goods or forced payment on any of the priests or Levites, the music-makers, door-keepers, Nethinim, or any servants of this house of God.
7:25 [hgb] 以 斯 拉 阿 ， 要 照 着 你 神 赐 你 的 智 慧 ， 将 所 有 明 白 你 神 律 法 的 人 立 为 士 师 ， 审 判 官 ， 治 理 河 西 的 百 姓 ， 使 他 们 教 训 一 切 不 明 白 神 律 法 的 人 。
[kjv] And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates17 and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.
[bbe] And you, Ezra, by the wisdom of your God which is in you, are to put rulers and judges to have authority over all the people across the river who have knowledge of the laws of your God; and you are to give teaching to him who has no knowledge of them.
7:26 [hgb] 凡 不 遵 行 你 神 律 法 和 王 命 令 的 人 就 当 速 速 定 他 的 罪 ， 或 治 死 ， 或 充 军 ， 或 抄 家 ， 或 囚 禁 。
[kjv] And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment4 be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment18, or to confiscation19 of goods, or to imprisonment20.
[bbe] And if anyone does not keep the law of your God and the law of the king, take care that punishment is given to him, by death or by driving him from his country or by taking away his goods or by putting him in prison.
7:27 [hgb] 以 斯 拉 说 ， 耶 和 华 我 们 列 祖 的 神 是 应 当 称 颂 的 。 因 他 使 王 起 这 心 意 修 饰 耶 路 撒 冷 耶 和 华 的 殿 ，
[kjv] Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem:
[bbe] Praise be to the Lord, the God of our fathers, who has put such a thing into the heart of the king, to make fair the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem;
7:28 [hgb] 又 在 王 和 谋 士 ， 并 大 能 的 军 长 面 前 施 恩 于 我 。 因 耶 和 华 我 神 的 手 帮 助 我 ， 我 就 得 以 坚 强 ， 从 以 色 列 中 招 聚 首 领 ， 与 我 一 同 上 来 。
[kjv] And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king's mighty21 princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
[bbe] And has given mercy to me before the king and his government and before all the king's great captains. And I was made strong by the hand of the Lord my God which was on me, and I got together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
