34:1 [hgb]  列 国 阿 , 要 近 前 来 听 。 众 民 哪 , 要 侧 耳 而 听 。 地 和 其 上 所 充 满 的 , 世 界 和 其 中 一 切 所 出 的 , 都 应 当 听 。
    [kjv]  Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth1 of it.
    [bbe]  Come near, you nations, and give ear; take note, you peoples: let the earth and everything in it give ear; the world and all those living in it.
34:2 [hgb]  因 为 耶 和 华 向 万 国 发 忿 恨 , 向 他 们 的 全 军 发 烈 怒 , 将 他 们 灭 尽 , 交 出 他 们 受 杀 戮 。
    [kjv]  For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly2 destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter3.
    [bbe]  For the Lord is angry with all the nations, and his wrath4 is burning against all their armies: he has put them to the curse, he has given them to destruction.
34:3 [hgb]  被 杀 的 必 然 抛 弃 , 尸 首 臭 气 上 腾 。 诸 山 被 他 们 的 血 融 化 。
    [kjv]  Their slain5 also shall be cast out, and their stink6 shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
    [bbe]  Their dead bodies will be thick on the face of the earth, and their smell will come up, and the mountains will be flowing with their blood, and all the hills will come to nothing.
34:4 [hgb]  天 上 的 万 象 都 要 消 没 , 天 被 卷 起 , 好 像 书 卷 。 其 上 的 万 象 要 残 败 , 像 葡 萄 树 的 叶 子 残 败 , 又 像 无 花 果 树 的 叶 子 残 败 一 样
    [kjv]  And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll7: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig8 from the fig tree.
    [bbe]  And the heavens will be rolled together like the roll of a book: and all their army will be gone, like a dead leaf from the vine, or a dry fruit from the fig-tree.
34:5 [hgb]  因 为 我 的 刀 在 天 上 已 经 喝 足 。 这 刀 必 临 到 以 东 , 和 我 所 咒 诅 的 民 , 要 施 行 审 判 。
    [kjv]  For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold9, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment10.
    [bbe]  For my sword in heaven is full of wrath: see, it is coming down on Edom, in punishment on the people of my curse.
34:6 [hgb]  耶 和 华 的 刀 满 了 血 , 用 脂 油 和 羊 羔 公 山 羊 的 血 , 并 公 绵 羊 腰 子 的 脂 油 滋 润 的 。 因 为 耶 和 华 在 波 斯 拉 有 献 祭 的 事 , 在 以 东 地 大 行 杀 戮 。
    [kjv]  The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams11: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.
    [bbe]  The sword of the Lord is full of blood, it is fat with the best of the meat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the best parts of the sheep: for the Lord has a feast in Bozrah, and much cattle will be put to death in the land of Edom.
34:7 [hgb]  野 牛 , 牛 犊 , 和 公 牛 , 要 一 同 下 来 。 他 们 的 地 喝 醉 了 血 , 他 们 的 尘 土 因 脂 油 肥 润 。
    [kjv]  And the unicorns12 shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.
    [bbe]  And the strong oxen will go down to death together with the smaller cattle.
34:8 [hgb]  因 耶 和 华 有 报 仇 之 日 , 为 锡 安 的 争 辩 , 有 报 应 之 年 。
    [kjv]  For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance13, and the year of recompences for the controversy14 of Zion.
    [bbe]  For it is the day of the Lord's punishment, when he gives payment for the wrongs done to Zion.
34:9 [hgb]  以 东 的 河 水 要 变 为 石 油 , 尘 埃 要 变 为 硫 磺 , 地 土 成 为 烧 着 的 石 油 。
    [kjv]  And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.
    [bbe]  And its streams will be turned into boiling oil, and its dust into burning stone, and all the land will be on fire.
34:10 [hgb]  昼 夜 总 不 熄 灭 , 烟 气 永 远 上 腾 , 必 世 世 代 代 成 为 荒 废 , 永 永 远 远 无 人 经 过 。
    [kjv]  It shall not be quenched15 night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.
    [bbe]  It will not be put out day or night; its smoke will go up for ever: it will be waste from generation to generation; no one will go through it for ever.
34:11 [hgb]  鹈 鹕 , 箭 猪 , 却 要 得 为 业 。 猫 头 鹰 , 乌 鸦 , 要 住 在 其 间 。 耶 和 华 必 将 空 虚 的 准 绳 , 混 沌 的 线 铊 , 拉 在 其 上 。
    [kjv]  But the cormorant16 and the bittern shall possess it; the owl17 also and the raven18 shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness.
    [bbe]  But the birds of the waste land will have their place there; it will be a heritage for the bittern and the raven: and it will be measured out with line and weight as a waste land.
34:12 [hgb]  以 东 人 要 召 贵 胄 来 治 国 , 那 里 却 无 一 个 。 首 领 也 都 归 于 无 有 。
    [kjv]  They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing.
    [bbe]  The jackals will be there, and her great ones will be gone; they will say, There is no longer a kingdom there, and all her chiefs will have come to an end.
34:13 [hgb]  以 东 的 宫 殿 要 长 荆 棘 , 保 障 要 长 蒺 藜 和 刺 草 。 要 作 野 狗 的 住 处 , 鸵 鸟 的 居 所 。
    [kjv]  And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles19 and brambles in the fortresses20 thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls21.
    [bbe]  And thorns will come up in her fair houses, and waste plants in her strong towers: and foxes will make their holes there, and it will be a meeting-place for ostriches22.
34:14 [hgb]  旷 野 的 走 兽 , 要 和 豺 狼 相 遇 。 野 山 羊 , 要 与 伴 偶 对 叫 。 夜 间 的 怪 物 , 必 在 那 里 栖 身 , 自 找 安 歇 之 处 。
    [kjv]  The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech23 owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.
    [bbe]  And the beasts of the waste places will come together with the jackals, and the evil spirits will be crying to one another, even the night-spirit will come and make her resting-place there.
34:15 [hgb]  箭 蛇 要 在 那 里 作 窝 , 下 蛋 , 抱 蛋 , 生 子 , 聚 子 在 其 影 下 。 鹞 鹰 , 各 与 伴 偶 聚 集 在 那 里 。
    [kjv]  There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.
    [bbe]  The arrowsnake will make her hole and put her eggs there, and get her young together under her shade: there the hawks24 will come together by twos.
34:16 [hgb]  你 们 要 查 考 宣 读 耶 和 华 的 书 。 这 都 无 一 缺 少 , 无 一 没 有 伴 偶 , 因 为 我 的 口 已 经 吩 咐 , 他 的 灵 将 他 们 聚 集 。
    [kjv]  Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
    [bbe]  See what is recorded in the book of the Lord: all these will be there, not one without the other: the mouth of the Lord has given the order, and his spirit has made them come together.
34:17 [hgb]  他 也 为 他 们 拈 阄 , 又 亲 手 用 准 绳 给 他 们 分 地 , 他 们 必 永 得 为 业 , 世 世 代 代 住 在 其 间 。
    [kjv]  And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.
    [bbe]  And he has given them their heritage, and by his hand it has been measured out to them: it will be theirs for ever, their resting-place from generation to generation.
