[kjv]  There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
[bbe]  The praise of Moab has come to an end; as for Heshbon, evil has been designed against her; come, let us put an end to her as a nation. But your mouth will be shut, O Madmen; the sword will go after you.
48:3 [hgb]  从 何 罗 念 有 喊 荒 凉 大 毁 灭 的 哀 声 ,

[kjv]  For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.
[bbe]  For by the slope of Luhith they will go up, weeping all the way; for on the way down to Horonaim the cry of destruction has come to their ears.
48:6 [hgb]  你 们 要 奔 逃 , 自 救 性 命 , 独 自 居 住 , 好 像 旷 野 的 杜 松 。
[kjv]  Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness2.

[kjv]  For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth3 into captivity4 with his priests and his princes together.

[kjv]  Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel6 to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent7 is not changed.
[bbe]  From his earliest days, Moab has been living in comfort; like wine long stored he has not been drained from vessel to vessel, he has never gone away as a prisoner: so his taste is still in him, his smell is unchanged.
