Chapter 1

1:1 [hgb]  提 阿 非 罗 阿 ， 我 已 经 作 了 前 书 ， 论 到 耶 稣 开 头 一 切 所 行 所 教 训 的 ，
    [kjv]  The former treatise¹ have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
    [bbe]  I have given an earlier account, O Theophilus, of all the things which Jesus did, and of his teaching from the first,
1:2 [hgb]  直 到 他 借 着 圣 灵 吩 咐 所 拣 选 的 使 徒 ， 以 后 被 接 上 升 的 日 子 为 止 。
    [kjv]  Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
    [bbe]  Till the day when he was taken up to heaven after he had given his orders, through the Holy Spirit, to the Apostles of whom he had made selection:
1:3 [hgb]  他 受 害 之 后 ， 用 许 多 的 凭 据 ， 将 自 己 活 活 地 显 给 使 徒 看 ， 四 十 天 之 久 向 他 们 显 现 ， 讲 说 神 国 的 事 。
    [kjv]  To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining² to the kingdom of God:
    [bbe]  And to whom he gave clear and certain signs that he was living, after his death; for he was seen by them for forty days, and gave them teaching about the kingdom of God:
1:4 [hgb]  耶 稣 和 他 们 聚 集 的 时 候 ， 嘱 咐 他 们 说 ， 不 要 离 开 耶 路 撒 冷 ， 要 等 候 父 所 应 许 的 ， 就 是 你 们 听 见 我 说 过 的 。
    [kjv]  And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
    [bbe]  And when they were all together, with him, he gave them orders not to go away from Jerusalem, but to keep there, waiting till the word of the Father was put into effect, of which, he said, I have given you knowledge:
1:5 [hgb]  约 翰 是 用 水 施 洗 。 但 不 多 几 日 ， 你 们 要 受 圣 灵 的 洗 。
    [kjv]  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
    [bbe]  For the baptism of John was with water, but you will have baptism with the Holy Spirit, after a little time.
1:6 [hgb]  他 们 聚 集 的 时 候 ， 问 耶 稣 说 ， 主 阿 ， 你 复 兴 以 色 列 国 ， 就 在 这 时 候 吗 ？
    [kjv]  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt³ thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
    [bbe]  So, when they were together, they said to him, Lord, will you at this time give back the kingdom to Israel?
1:7 [hgb]  耶 稣 对 他 们 说 ， 父 凭 着 自 己 的 权 柄 ， 所 定 的 时 候 日 期 ， 不 是 你 们 可 以 知 道 的 。
    [kjv]  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
    [bbe]  And he said to them, It is not for you to have knowledge of the time and the order of events which the Father has kept in his control.
1:8 [hgb]  但 圣 灵 降 临 在 你 们 身 上 ， 你 们 就 必 得 着 能 力 。 并 要 在 耶 路 撒 冷 ， 犹 太 全 地 ， 和 撒 玛 利 亚 ， 直 到 地 极 ， 作 我 的 见 证 。
    [kjv]  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
    [bbe]  But you will have power, when the Holy Spirit has come on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judaea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
1:9 [hgb]  说 了 这 话 ， 他 们 正 看 的 时 候 ， 他 就 被 取 上 升 ， 有 一 朵 云 彩 把 他 接 去 ， 便 看 不 见 他 了 。
    [kjv]  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld⁴, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
    [bbe]  And when he had said these things, while they were looking, he was taken up, and went from their view into a cloud.
1:10 [hgb]  当 他 往 上 去 ， 他 们 定 睛 望 天 的 时 候 ， 忽 然 有 两 个 人 ， 身 穿 白 衣 ， 站 在 旁 边 ， 说 ，
    [kjv]  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold⁵, two men stood by them in white apparel;
    [bbe]  And while they were looking up to heaven with great attention, two men came to them, in white clothing,
1:11 [hgb]  加 利 利 人 哪 ， 你 们 为 什 么 站 着 望 天 呢 ？ 这 离 开 你 们 被 接 升 天 的 耶 稣 ， 你 们 见 他 怎 样 往 天 上 去 ， 他 还 要 怎 样 来 。
    [kjv]  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
    [bbe]  And said, O men of Galilee, why are you looking up into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken from you into heaven, will come again, in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.
1:12 [hgb]  有 一 座 山 名 叫 橄 榄 山 ， 离 耶 路 撒 冷 不 远 ， 约 有 安 息 日 可 走 的 路 程 。 当 下 门 徒 从 那 里 回 耶 路 撒 冷 去 。
    [kjv]  Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.
    [bbe]  Then they went back to Jerusalem from the mountain named Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away.
1:13 [hgb]  进 了 城 ， 就 上 了 所 住 的 一 间 楼 房 。 在 那 里 有 彼 得 ， 约 翰 ， 雅 各 ， 安 得 烈 ， 腓 力 ， 多 马 ， 巴 多 罗 买 ， 马 太 ， 亚 勒 腓 的 儿 子 雅 各 ， 奋 锐 党 的 西 门 ， 和 雅 各 的 儿 子 （ 或 作 兄 弟 ） 犹 大 。
    [kjv]  And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode⁶ both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
    [bbe]  And when they came in, they went up into the room where they were living; Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James, the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas, the son of James.
1:14 [hgb]  这 些 人 ， 同 着 几 个 妇 人 ， 和 耶 稣 的 母 亲 马 利 亚 ， 并 耶 稣 的 弟 兄 ， 都 同 心 合 意 地 恒 切 祷 告 。
    [kjv]  These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication⁷, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
    [bbe]  And they all with one mind gave themselves up to prayer, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
1:15 [hgb]  那 时 ， 有 许 多 人 聚 会 ， 约 有 一 百 二 十 名 ， 彼 得 就 在 弟 兄 中 间 站 起 来 ， 说 ，
    [kjv]  And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples⁸, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
    [bbe]  And in those days Peter got up among the brothers (there were about one hundred and twenty of them), and said,
1:16 [hgb]  弟 兄 们 ， 圣 灵 借 大 卫 的 口 ， 在 圣 经 上 ， 预 言 领 人 捉 拿 耶 稣 的 犹 大 。 这 话 是 必 须 应 验 的 。
    [kjv]  Men and brethren, this scripture⁹ must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
    [bbe]  My brothers, the word of God had to be put into effect, which the Holy Spirit had said before, by the mouth of David, about Judas, who was guide to those who took Jesus,
1:17 [hgb]  他 本 来 列 在 我 们 数 中 ， 并 且 在 使 徒 的 职 任 上 得 了 一 分 。
    [kjv]  For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry¹⁰.
    [bbe]  For he was numbered among us, and had his part in our work.
1:18 [hgb]  这 人 用 他 作 恶 的 工 价 ， 买 了 一 块 田 ， 以 后 身 子 仆 倒 ， 肚 腹 崩 裂 ， 肠 子 都 流 出 来 。
    [kjv]  Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity¹¹; and falling headlong, he burst asunder¹² in the midst, and all his bowels¹³ gushed¹⁴ out.
    [bbe]  (Now this man, with the reward of his evil-doing, got for himself a field, and falling head first, came to a sudden and violent end there.
1:19 [hgb]  住 在 耶 路 撒 冷 的 众 人 都 知 道 这 事 ， 所 以 按 着 他 们 那 里 的 话 ， 给 那 块 田 起 名 叫 亚 革 大 马 ， 就 是 血 田 的 意 思 。
    [kjv]  And it was known unto all the dwellers¹⁵ at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
    [bbe]  And this came to the knowledge of all those who were living in Jerusalem, so that the field was named in their language, Akel-dama, or, The field of blood.)
1:20 [hgb]  因 为 诗 篇 上 写 着 说 ， 愿 他 的 住 处 ， 变 为 荒 场 ， 无 人 在 内 居 住 。 又 说 ， 愿 别 人 得 他 的 职 分 。
    [kjv]  For it is written in the book of Psalms¹⁶, Let his habitation be desolate¹⁷, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
    [bbe]  For in the book of Psalms it says, Let his house be waste, and let no man be living in it: and, Let his position be taken by another.
1:21 [hgb]  所 以 主 耶 稣 在 我 们 中 间 始 终 出 入 的 时 候 ，
    [kjv]  Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
    [bbe]  For this reason, of the men who have been with us all the time, while the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
1:22 [hgb]  就 是 从 约 翰 施 洗 起 ， 直 到 主 离 开 我 们 被 接 上 升 的 日 子 为 止 ， 必 须 从 那 常 与 我 们 作 伴 的 人 中 ， 立 一 位 与 我 们 同 作 耶 稣 复 活 的 见 证 。
    [kjv]  Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained¹⁸ to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
    [bbe]  Starting from the baptism of John till he went up from us, one will have to be a witness with us of his coming back from death.
1:23 [hgb]  于 是 选 举 两 个 人 ， 就 是 那 叫 作 巴 撒 巴 又 称 呼 犹 士 都 的 约 瑟 ， 和 马 提 亚 。
    [kjv]  And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
    [bbe]  And they made selection of two, Joseph, named Barsabbas, whose other name was Justus, and Matthias.
1:24 [hgb]  众 人 就 祷 告 说 ， 主 阿 ， 你 知 道 万 人 的 心 ， 求 你 从 这 两 个 人 中 ， 指 明 你 所 拣 选 的 是 谁 ， 叫 他 得 这 使 徒 的 位 分 。 这 位 分 犹 大 已 经 丢 弃 ， 往 自 己 的 地 方 去 了 。
    [kjv]  And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,
    [bbe]  And they made prayers and said, Lord, having knowledge of the hearts of all men, make clear which of these two has been marked out by you,
1:25 [hgb]  
    [kjv]  That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression¹⁹ fell, that he might go to his own place.
    [bbe]  To take that position as a servant and Apostle, from which Judas by his sin was shut out, so that he might go to his place.
1:26 [hgb]  于 是 众 人 为 他 们 摇 签 ， 摇 出 马 提 亚 来 。 他 就 和 十 一 个 使 徒 同 列 。
    [kjv]  And they gave forth²⁰ their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
    [bbe]  And they put it to the decision of chance, and the decision was given for Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven Apostles.

1 treatise
