[kjv] And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
[bbe] Now certain men came down from Judaea, teaching the brothers and saying that without circumcision, after the rule of Moses, there is no salvation1.

[kjv] When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined2 that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
[bbe] And after Paul and Barnabas had had no little argument and discussion with them, the brothers made a decision to send Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them to the Apostles and the rulers of the church at Jerusalem about this question.

[kjv] And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.

15:5 [hgb] 惟 有 几 个 信 徒 是 法 利 赛 教 门 的 人 ， 起 来 说 ， 必 须 给 外 邦 人 行 割 礼 ， 吩 咐 他 们 遵 守 摩 西 的 律 法 。
[kjv] But there rose up certain of the sect4 of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
[bbe] But some of the Pharisees, who were of the faith, got up and said, It is necessary for these to have circumcision and to keep the law of Moses.
15:6 [hgb] 使 徒 和 长 老 ， 聚 会 商 议 这 事 。
[kjv] And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
[bbe] And the Apostles and the rulers of the church came together and gave thought to the question.

[kjv] And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
[bbe] And when there had been much discussion, Peter got up and said to them, My brothers, you have knowledge that some time back it was God's pleasure that by my mouth the good news might be given to the Gentiles so that they might have faith.
15:8 [hgb] 知 道 人 心 的 神 ， 也 为 他 们 作 了 见 证 。 赐 圣 灵 给 他 们 ， 正 如 给 我 们 一 样 。
[kjv] And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
[bbe] And God, the searcher of hearts, was a witness to them, giving them the Holy Spirit even as he did to us;
15:9 [hgb] 又 借 着 信 ， 洁 净 了 他 们 的 心 ， 并 不 分 他 们 我 们 。
[kjv] And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
[bbe] Making no division between them and us, but making clean their hearts by faith.
15:10 [hgb] 现 在 为 什 么 试 探 神 ， 要 把 我 们 祖 宗 和 我 们 所 不 能 负 的 轭 ， 放 在 门 徒 的 颈 项 上 呢 ？
[kjv] Now therefore why tempt5 ye God, to put a yoke6 upon the neck of the disciples7, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
[bbe] Why then are you testing God, by putting on the neck of the disciples a yoke so hard that not even our fathers or we were strong enough for it?
15:11 [hgb] 我 们 得 救 ， 乃 是 因 主 耶 稣 的 恩 ， 和 他 们 一 样 ， 这 是 我 们 所 信 的 。
[kjv] But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
[bbe] But we have faith that we will get salvation through the grace of the Lord Jesus in the same way as they.
15:12 [hgb] 众 人 都 默 默 无 声 ， 听 巴 拿 巴 和 保 罗 ， 述 说 神 借 他 们 在 外 邦 人 中 所 行 的 神 迹 奇 事 。
[kjv] Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought8 among the Gentiles by them.
[bbe] And all the people were quiet while Barnabas and Paul gave an account of the signs and wonders which God had done among the Gentiles by them.
15:13 [hgb] 他 们 住 了 声 ， 雅 各 就 说 ， 诸 位 弟 兄 ， 请 听 我 的 话 。
[kjv] And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

[kjv] And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

[kjv] After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
[bbe] After these things I will come back, and will put up the tent of David which has been broken down, building up again its broken parts and making it complete:

[kjv] That the residue9 of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
[bbe] So that the rest of men may make search for the Lord, and all the Gentiles on whom my name is named,
15:18 [hgb] 这 话 是 从 创 世 以 来 ， 显 明 这 事 的 主 说 的 。
[kjv] Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
[bbe] Says the Lord, who has made these things clear from the earliest times.

[kjv] Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
[bbe] For this reason my decision is, that we do not put trouble in the way of those who from among the Gentiles are turned to God;
15:20 [hgb] 只 要 写 信 ， 吩 咐 他 们 禁 戒 偶 像 的 污 秽 和 奸 淫 ， 并 勒 死 的 牲 畜 ， 和 血 。
[kjv] But that we write unto them, that they abstain10 from pollutions of idols11, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
[bbe] But that we give them orders to keep themselves from things offered to false gods, and from the evil desires of the body, and from the flesh of animals put to death in ways against the law, and from blood.
15:21 [hgb] 因 为 从 古 以 来 ， 摩 西 的 书 在 各 城 有 人 传 讲 ， 每 逢 安 息 日 ， 在 会 堂 里 诵 读 。
[kjv] For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
[bbe] For Moses, from times long past, has his preachers in every town, reading his law in the Synagogues every Sabbath.
15:22 [hgb] 那 时 ， 使 徒 和 长 老 并 全 教 会 ， 定 意 从 他 们 中 间 拣 选 人 ， 差 他 们 和 保 罗 ， 巴 拿 巴 ， 同 往 安 提 阿 去 。 所 拣 选 的 ， 就 是 称 呼 巴 撒 巴 的 犹 大 ， 和 西 拉 ， 这 两 个 人 在 弟 兄 中 是 作 首 领 的 。

[kjv] Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
