[kjv] If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
[bbe] If then you have a new life with Christ, give your attention to the things of heaven, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

[bbe] Keep your mind on the higher things, not on the things of earth.

[bbe] For your life on earth is done, and you have a secret life with Christ in God.
3:4 [hgb] 基 督 是 我 们 的 生 命 ， 他 显 现 的 时 候 ， 你 们 也 要 与 他 一 同 显 现 在 荣 耀 里 。
[kjv] When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

3:5 [hgb] 所 以 要 治 死 你 们 在 地 上 的 肢 体 。 就 如 淫 乱 ， 污 秽 ， 邪 情 ， 恶 欲 ， 和 贪 婪 ， 贪 婪 就 与 拜 偶 像 一 样 。
[kjv] Mortify1 therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate2 affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness3, which is idolatry:
[bbe] Then put to death your bodies which are of the earth; wrong use of the flesh, unclean things, passion, evil desires and envy, which is the worship of strange gods;
3:6 [hgb] 因 这 些 事 ， 神 的 忿 怒 必 临 到 那 悖 逆 之 子 。
[kjv] For which things' sake the wrath4 of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
[bbe] Because of which the wrath of God comes on those who go against his orders;
3:7 [hgb] 当 你 们 在 这 些 事 中 活 着 的 时 候 ， 也 曾 这 样 行 过 。
[kjv] In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
[bbe] Among whom you were living in the past, when you did such things.
3:8 [hgb] 但 现 在 你 们 要 弃 绝 这 一 切 的 事 ， 以 及 恼 恨 ， 忿 怒 ， 恶 毒 ， （ 或 作 阴 毒 ） 毁 谤 ， 并 口 中 污 秽 的 言 语 。
[kjv] But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice5, blasphemy6, filthy7 communication out of your mouth.
[bbe] But now it is right for you to put away all these things; wrath, passion, bad feeling, curses, unclean talk;
3:9 [hgb] 不 要 彼 此 说 谎 ， 因 你 们 已 经 脱 去 旧 人 和 旧 人 的 行 为 ，
[kjv] Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
[bbe] Do not make false statements to one another; because you have put away the old man with all his doings,
3:10 [hgb] 穿 上 了 新 人 。 这 新 人 在 知 识 上 渐 渐 更 新 ， 正 如 造 他 主 的 形 像 。
[kjv] And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

3:11 [hgb] 在 此 并 不 分 希 利 尼 人 ， 犹 太 人 ， 受 割 礼 的 ， 未 受 割 礼 的 ， 化 外 人 ， 西 古 提 人 ， 为 奴 的 ， 自 主 的 ， 惟 有 基 督 是 包 括 一 切 ， 又 住 在 各 人 之 内 。
[kjv] Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian9, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
[bbe] Where there is no Greek or Jew, no one with circumcision or without circumcision, no division between nations, no servant or free man: but Christ is all and in all.
3:12 [hgb] 所 以 你 们 既 是 神 的 选 民 ， 圣 洁 蒙 爱 的 人 ， 就 要 存 （ 原 文 作 穿 下 同 ） 怜 悯 ， 恩 慈 ， 谦 虚 ， 温 柔 ， 忍 耐 的 心 。
[kjv] Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels10 of mercies, kindness, humbleness11 of mind, meekness12, longsuffering;
[bbe] As saints of God, then, holy and dearly loved, let your behaviour be marked by pity and mercy, kind feeling, a low opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, and a power of undergoing all things;
3:13 [hgb] 倘 若 这 人 与 那 人 有 嫌 隙 ， 总 要 彼 此 包 容 ， 彼 此 饶 恕 。 主 怎 样 饶 恕 了 你 们 ， 你 们 也 要 怎 样 饶 恕 人 。
[kjv] Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
[bbe] Being gentle to one another and having forgiveness for one another, if anyone has done wrong to his brother, even as the Lord had forgiveness for you:
3:14 [hgb] 在 这 一 切 之 外 ， 要 存 着 爱 心 。 爱 心 就 是 联 络 全 德 的 。
[kjv] And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
[bbe] And more than all, have love; the only way in which you may be completely joined together.
3:15 [hgb] 又 要 叫 基 督 的 平 安 在 你 们 心 里 作 主 。 你 们 也 为 此 蒙 召 ， 归 为 一 体 。 且 要 存 感 谢 的 心 。
[kjv] And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

[kjv] Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing13 one another in psalms14 and hymns15 and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
[bbe] Let the word of Christ be in you in all wealth of wisdom; teaching and helping16 one another with songs of praise and holy words, making melody to God with grace in your hearts.
3:17 [hgb] 无 论 作 什 么 ， 或 说 话 ， 或 行 事 ， 都 要 奉 主 耶 稣 的 名 ， 借 着 他 感 谢 父 神 。
[kjv] And whatsoever17 ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

3:18 [hgb] 你 们 作 妻 子 的 ， 当 顺 服 自 己 的 丈 夫 ， 这 在 主 里 面 是 相 宜 的 。
[kjv] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
[bbe] Wives, be under the authority of your husbands, as is right in the Lord.

3:22 [hgb] 你 们 作 仆 人 的 ， 要 凡 事 听 从 你 们 肉 身 的 主 人 ， 不 要 只 在 眼 前 事 奉 ， 像 是 讨 人 喜 欢 的 ， 总 要 存 心 诚 实 敬 畏 主 。
