4:1 [hgb]  我 在 神 面 前 , 并 在 将 来 审 判 活 人 死 人 的 基 督 耶 稣 面 前 , 凭 着 他 的 显 现 和 他 的 国 度 嘱 咐 你 。 
    [kjv]  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
    [bbe]  I give you orders, before God and Christ Jesus, who will be the judge of the living and the dead, and by his revelation and his kingdom;
4:2 [hgb]  务 要 传 道 。 无 论 得 时 不 得 时 , 总 要 专 心 , 并 用 百 般 的 忍 耐 , 各 样 的 教 训 , 责 备 人 , 警 戒 人 , 劝 勉 人 。 
    [kjv]  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke1, exhort2 with all longsuffering and doctrine3.
    [bbe]  Be preaching the word at all times, in every place; make protests, say sharp words, give comfort, with long waiting and teaching;
4:3 [hgb]  因 为 时 候 要 到 , 人 必 厌 烦 纯 正 的 道 理 。 耳 朵 发 痒 , 就 随 从 自 己 的 情 欲 , 增 添 好 些 师 傅 。 
    [kjv]  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts4 shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching5 ears;
    [bbe]  For the time will come when they will not take the true teaching; but, moved by their desires, they will get for themselves a great number of teachers for the pleasure of hearing them;
4:4 [hgb]  并 且 掩 耳 不 听 真 道 , 偏 向 荒 渺 的 言 语 。 
    [kjv]  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables6.
    [bbe]  And shutting their ears to what is true, will be turned away to belief in foolish stories.
4:5 [hgb]  你 却 要 凡 事 谨 慎 , 忍 受 苦 难 , 作 传 道 的 工 夫 , 尽 你 的 职 分 。 
    [kjv]  But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry7.
    [bbe]  But be self-controlled in all things, do without comfort, go on preaching the good news, completing the work which has been given you to do.
4:6 [hgb]  我 现 在 被 浇 奠 , 我 离 世 的 时 候 到 了 。 
    [kjv]  For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
    [bbe]  For I am even now being offered, and my end is near.
4:7 [hgb]  那 美 好 的 仗 我 已 经 打 过 了 。 当 跑 的 路 我 已 经 跑 尽 了 。 所 信 的 道 我 已 经 守 住 了 。 
    [kjv]  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
    [bbe]  I have made a good fight, I have come to the end of my journey, I have kept the faith:
4:8 [hgb]  从 此 以 后 , 有 公 义 的 冠 冕 为 我 存 留 , 就 是 按 着 公 义 审 判 的 主 到 了 那 日 要 赐 给 我 的 。 不 但 赐 给 我 , 也 赐 给 凡 爱 慕 他 显 现 的 人 。 
    [kjv]  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
    [bbe]  From now on, the crown of righteousness is made ready for me, which the Lord, the upright judge, Will give to me at that day: and not only to me, but to all those who have had love for his revelation.
4:9 [hgb]  你 要 赶 紧 的 到 我 这 里 来 。 
    [kjv]  Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:
    [bbe]  Do your best to come to me before long:
4:10 [hgb]  因 为 底 马 贪 爱 现 今 的 世 界 , 就 离 弃 我 往 帖 撒 罗 尼 迦 去 了 。 革 勒 士 往 加 拉 太 去 。 提 多 往 挞 马 太 去 。 
    [kjv]  For Demas hath forsaken8 me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
    [bbe]  For Demas has gone away from me, for love of this present life, and has gone to Thessalonica: Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
4:11 [hgb]  独 有 路 加 在 我 这 里 。 你 来 的 时 候 要 把 马 可 带 来 。 因 为 他 在 传 道 的 事 上 于 我 有 益 处 。 ( 传 道 或 作 服 事 我 ) 
    [kjv]  Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

4:12 [hgb]  我 已 经 打 发 推 基 古 往 以 弗 所 去 。

4:13 [hgb]  我 在 特 罗 亚 留 于 加 布 的 那 件 外 衣 , 你 来 的 时 候 可 以 带 来 。 那 些 书 也 要 带 来 。 更 要 紧 的 是 那 些 皮 卷 。

4:15 [hgb]  你 也 要 防 备 他 。 因 为 他 极 力 敌 挡 了 我 们 的 话 。 
    [kjv]  Of whom be thou ware10 also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
    [bbe]  But be on the watch for him, for he was violent in his attacks on our teaching.
4:16 [hgb]  我 初 次 申 诉 , 没 有 人 前 来 帮 助 , 竟 都 离 弃 我 。 但 愿 这 罪 不 归 与 他 们 。 
    [kjv]  At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook11 me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
    [bbe]  At my first meeting with my judges, no one took my part, but all went away from me. May it not be put to their account.
4:17 [hgb]  惟 有 主 站 在 我 旁 边 , 加 给 我 力 量 , 使 福 音 被 我 尽 都 传 明 , 叫 外 邦 人 都 听 见 。 我 也 从 狮 子 口 里 被 救 出 来 。 
    [kjv]  Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully12 known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
    [bbe]  But the Lord was by my side and gave me strength; so that through me the news might be given out in full measure, and all the Gentiles might give ear: and I was taken out of the mouth of the lion.
4:18 [hgb]  主 必 救 我 脱 离 诸 般 的 凶 恶 , 也 必 救 我 进 他 的 天 国 。 愿 荣 耀 归 给 他 , 直 到 永 永 远 远 。 阿 们 。 
    [kjv]  And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
