Chapter 13

13:1 [hgb]  大 卫 与 千 夫 长 ， 百 夫 长 ， 就 是 一 切 首 领 商 议 。
    [kjv]  And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.
    [bbe]  Then David had discussions with the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds and with every chief.
13:2 [hgb]  大 卫 对 以 色 列 全 会 众 说 ， 你 们 若 以 为 美 ， 见 这 事 是 出 于 耶 和 华 我 们 的 神 ， 我 们 就 差 遣 人 走 遍 以 色 列 地 ， 见 我 们 未 来 的 弟 兄 ， 又 见 住 在 有 郊 野 之 城 的 祭 司 利 未 人 ， 使 他 们 都 到 这 里 来 聚 集 。
    [kjv]  And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:
    [bbe]  And David said to all the men of Israel who had come together there, If it seems good to you and if it is the purpose of the Lord our God, let us send to all the rest of our brothers, everywhere in the land of Israel, and to the priests and the Levites in their towns and the country round them, and get them to come together here to us;
13:3 [hgb]  我 们 要 把 神 的 约 柜 运 到 我 们 这 里 来 。 因 为 在 扫 罗 年 间 ， 我 们 没 有 在 约 柜 前 求 问 神 。
    [kjv]  And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired¹ not at it in the days of Saul.
    [bbe]  And let us get back for ourselves the ark of our God: for in the days of Saul we did not go to it for directions.
13:4 [hgb]  全 会 众 都 说 可 以 如 此 行 。 这 事 在 众 民 眼 中 都 看 为 好 。
    [kjv]  And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
    [bbe]  And all the people said they would do so, for it seemed right to them.
13:5 [hgb]  于 是 ， 大 卫 将 以 色 列 人 从 埃 及 的 西 曷 河 直 到 哈 马 口 都 招 聚 了 来 ， 要 从 基 列 耶 琳 将 神 的 约 柜 运 来 。
    [kjv]  So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim.
    [bbe]  So David sent for all Israel to come together, from Shihor, the river of Egypt, as far as the way into Hamath, to get the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.
13:6 [hgb]  大 卫 率 领 以 色 列 众 人 上 到 巴 拉 ， 就 是 属 犹 大 的 基 列 耶 琳 ， 要 从 那 里 将 约 柜 运 来 。 这 约 柜 就 是 坐 在 二 基 路 伯 上 耶 和 华 神 留 名 的 约 柜 。
    [kjv]  And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the LORD, that dwelleth between the cherubims, whose name is called on it.
    [bbe]  And David went up, with all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim in Judah, to get up from there the ark of God, over which the holy Name is named, the name of the Lord whose place is between the winged ones.
13:7 [hgb]  他 们 将 神 的 约 柜 从 亚 比 拿 达 的 家 里 抬 出 来 ， 放 在 新 车 上 。 乌 撒 和 亚 希 约 赶 车 。
    [kjv]  And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.
    [bbe]  And they put the ark of God on a new cart, and took it out of the house of Abinadab; and Uzza and Ahio were the drivers of the cart.
13:8 [hgb]  大 卫 和 以 色 列 众 人 在 神 前 用 琴 ， 瑟 ， 锣 ， 鼓 ， 号 作 乐 ， 极 力 跳 舞 歌 唱 。
    [kjv]  And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps², and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals³, and with trumpets⁴.
    [bbe]  Then David and all Israel made melody before God with all their strength, with songs and corded instruments of music, and with brass⁵ instruments and horns.
13:9 [hgb]  到 了 基 顿 的 禾 场 （ 基 顿 撒 母 耳 下 六 章 六 节 作 拿 艮 ） 。 因 为 牛 失 前 蹄 （ 或 作 惊 跳 ） ， 乌 撒 就 伸 手 扶 住 约 柜 。
    [kjv]  And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth⁶ his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.
    [bbe]  And when they came to the grain-floor of Chidon, Uzza put out his hand to keep the ark in its place, for the oxen were slipping.
13:10 [hgb]  耶 和 华 向 他 发 怒 ， 因 他 伸 手 扶 住 约 柜 击 杀 他 ， 他 就 死 在 神 面 前 。
    [kjv]  And the anger of the LORD was kindled⁷ against Uzza, and he smote⁸ him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.
    [bbe]  And the wrath⁹ of the Lord, burning against Uzza, sent destruction on him because he had put his hand on the ark, and death came to him there before God.
13:11 [hgb]  大 卫 因 耶 和 华 击 杀 （ 原 文 作 闯 杀 ） 乌 撒 ， 心 里 愁 烦 ， 就 称 那 地 方 为 毗 列 斯 乌 撒 ， 直 到 今 日 。
    [kjv]  And David was displeased¹⁰, because the LORD had made a breach¹¹ upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called Perezuzza to this day.
    [bbe]  And David was angry because of the Lord's outburst of wrath against Uzza, and he gave that place the name Perez-uzza, to this day.
13:12 [hgb]  那 日 ， 大 卫 惧 怕 神 ， 说 ， 神 的 约 柜 怎 可 运 到 我 这 里 来 。
    [kjv]  And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?
    [bbe]  And so great was David's fear of God that day, that he said, How may I let the ark of God come to me?
13:13 [hgb]  于 是 大 卫 不 将 约 柜 运 进 大 卫 的 城 ， 却 运 到 迦 特 人 俄 别 以 东 的 家 中 。
    [kjv]  So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
    [bbe]  So David did not let the ark come back to him to the town of David, but had it turned away and put into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
13:14 [hgb]  神 的 约 柜 在 俄 别 以 东 家 中 三 个 月 ， 耶 和 华 赐 福 给 俄 别 以 东 的 家 和 他 一 切 所 有 的 。
    [kjv]  And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had.
    [bbe]  And the ark of God was in the house of Obed-edom for three months; and the Lord sent a blessing¹² on the house of Obed-edom and on all he had.
