[bbe] Say to the children of Israel: These are the living things which you may have for food among all the beasts on the earth.
11:3 [hgb] 凡 蹄 分 两 瓣 , 倒 嚼 的 走 兽 , 你 们 都 可 以 吃 。
[kjv] Whatsoever1 parteth the hoof2, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.
[bbe] You may have as food any beast which has a division in the horn of its foot, and whose food comes back into its mouth to be crushed again.
11:4 [hgb] 但 那 倒 嚼 或 分 蹄 之 中 不 可 吃 的 乃 是 骆 驼 , 因 为 倒 嚼 不 分 蹄 , 就 与 你 们 不 洁 净 。
[kjv] Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
[bbe] But, at the same time, of those beasts, you may not take for food the camel, because its food comes back but the horn of its foot is not parted in two; it is unclean to you.
11:5 [hgb] 沙 番 因 为 倒 嚼 不 分 蹄 , 就 与 你 们 不 洁 净 。
[kjv] And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
[bbe] And the rock-badger, for the same reason, is unclean to you.

[kjv] And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
[bbe] And the hare, because the horn of its foot is not parted in two, is unclean to you.

[kjv] And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
[bbe] And the pig is unclean to you, because though the horn of its foot is parted, its food does not come back.
11:8 [hgb] 这 些 兽 的 肉 , 你 们 不 可 吃 , 死 的 , 你 们 不 可 摸 , 都 与 你 们 不 洁 净 。
[kjv] Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.
[bbe] Their flesh may not be used for food, and their dead bodies may not even be touched; they are unclean to you.
11:9 [hgb] 水 中 可 吃 的 乃 是 这 些 , 凡 在 水 里 , 海 里 , 河 里 , 有 翅 有 鳞 的 , 都 可 以 吃 。
[kjv] These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins3 and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
[bbe] These you may have for food of all things living in the water: anything living in the water, in the seas or rivers, which has special parts for swimming and skin formed of thin plates, may be used for food.
11:10 [hgb] 凡 在 海 里 , 河 里 , 并 一 切 水 里 游 动 的 活 物 , 无 翅 无 鳞 的 , 你 们 都 当 以 为 可 憎 。
[kjv] And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
[bbe] All other things living and moving in the water, in the sea or in the rivers, are a disgusting thing to you;
11:11 [hgb] 这 些 无 翅 无 鳞 , 以 为 可 憎 的 , 你 们 不 可 吃 它 的 肉 , 死 的 也 当 以 为 可 憎 。
[kjv] They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
[bbe] They may not be used for food, and their dead bodies are disgusting to you.

[kjv] Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.
[bbe] Anything in the water which has no special parts for swimming and no thin plates on its skin is disgusting to you.

[kjv] And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls5; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
[bbe] And among birds these are to be disgusting to you, and not to be used for food: the eagle and the gier-eagle and the ospray;
11:14 [hgb] 鹞 鹰 , 小 鹰 与 其 类 。
[kjv] And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
[bbe] And the kite and the falcon7, and birds of that sort;
11:15 [hgb] 乌 鸦 与 其 类 。

[bbe] And the ostrich10 and the night-hawk and the sea-hawk, and birds of that sort;

[kjv] And the little owl, and the cormorant11, and the great owl,
[bbe] And the little owl and the cormorant and the great owl;
11:18 [hgb] 角 鸱 , 鹈 鹕 , 秃 雕 ,
[kjv] And the swan, and the pelican12, and the gier eagle,
[bbe] And the water-hen and the pelican and the vulture;
11:19 [hgb] 鹳 , 鹭 鸶 与 其 类 , 戴 ? ? 与 蝙 蝠 。
[kjv] And the stork13, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
[bbe] The stork and the heron, and birds of that sort, and the hoopoe and the bat.
11:20 [hgb] 凡 有 翅 膀 用 四 足 爬 行 的 物 , 你 们 都 当 以 为 可 憎 。
[kjv] All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.
[bbe] Every winged four-footed thing which goes on the earth is disgusting to you;
11:21 [hgb] 只 是 有 翅 膀 用 四 足 爬 行 的 物 中 , 有 足 有 腿 , 在 地 上 蹦 跳 的 , 你 们 还 可 以 吃 。
[kjv] Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;

[kjv] And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
[bbe] Whoever takes away the dead body of one of them is to have his clothing washed, and will be unclean till evening.

[kjv] These also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind,
[bbe] And these are unclean to you among things which go low down on the earth; the weasel and the mouse and the great lizard18, and animals of that sort;
11:30 [hgb] 壁 虎 , 龙 子 , 守 宫 , 蛇 医 , ? ? 蜓 。
[kjv] And the ferret, and the chameleon19, and the lizard, and the snail20, and the mole21.
[bbe] And the ferret and the land crocodile and the lizard and the sand-lizard and the chameleon.
11:31 [hgb] 这 些 爬 物 都 是 与 你 们 不 洁 净 的 。 在 它 死 了 以 后 , 凡 摸 了 的 , 必 不 洁 净 到 晚 上 。
[kjv] These are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even.
[bbe] All these are unclean to you: anyone touching them when they are dead will be unclean till evening.
11:32 [hgb] 其 中 死 了 的 , 掉 在 什 么 东 西 上 , 这 东 西 就 不 洁 净 , 无 论 是 木 器 , 衣 服 , 皮 子 , 口 袋 , 不 拘 是 作 什 么 工 用 的 器 皿 , 须 要 放 在 水 中 , 必 不 洁 净 到 晚 上 , 到 晚 上 才 洁 净 了 。
[kjv] And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel22 of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed23.
[bbe] The dead body of any of these, falling on anything, will make that thing unclean; if it is any vessel of wood, or clothing, or skin, or bag, whatever it is, if it is used for any purpose, it will have to be put into water, and will be unclean till evening; after that it will be clean.
11:33 [hgb] 若 有 死 了 掉 在 瓦 器 里 的 , 其 中 不 拘 有 什 么 , 就 不 洁 净 , 你 们 要 把 这 瓦 器 打 破 了 。
[kjv] And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it.
[bbe] And if one of them gets into any vessel of earth, whatever is in the vessel will be unclean and the vessel will have to be broken.
11:34 [hgb] 其 中 一 切 可 吃 的 食 物 , 沾 水 的 就 不 洁 净 , 并 且 那 样 器 皿 中 一 切 可 喝 的 , 也 必 不 洁 净 。
[kjv] Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.
[bbe] Any food in it, and anything on which water from it comes, will be unclean: any drink taken from such a vessel will be unclean.
11:35 [hgb] 其 中 已 死 的 , 若 有 一 点 掉 在 什 么 物 件 上 , 那 物 件 就 不 洁 净 , 不 拘 是 炉 子 , 是 锅 台 , 就 要 打 碎 , 都 不 洁 净 , 也 必 与 你 们 不 洁 净 。
[kjv] And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.
[bbe] Any part of the dead body of one of these, falling on anything, will make it unclean; if it is an oven or a cooking-pot it will have to be broken: they are unclean and will be unclean to you.
11:36 [hgb] 但 是 泉 源 或 是 聚 水 的 池 子 仍 是 洁 净 , 惟 挨 了 那 死 的 , 就 不 洁 净 。
[kjv] Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.
[bbe] But at the same time a fountain or a place where water is stored for use will be clean; but anyone touching their dead bodies will be unclean.

[kjv] And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean.
[bbe] If any part of the dead body of one of these gets on to any seed for planting, it is clean;

[kjv] But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.
[bbe] But if water is put on the seed, and any part of the dead body gets on to it, it will be unclean to you.
11:39 [hgb] 你 们 可 吃 的 走 兽 若 是 死 了 , 有 人 摸 它 , 必 不 洁 净 到 晚 上 。
[kjv] And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.
[bbe] And if any beast which may be used for food comes to a natural death, anyone touching its dead body will be unclean till evening.
