Chapter 1

1:1 [hgb]  耶 和 华 的 仆 人 摩 西 死 了 以 后 ， 耶 和 华 晓 谕 摩 西 的 帮 手 ， 嫩 的 儿 子 约 书 亚 ， 说 ， 
    [kjv]  Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun¹, Moses' minister, saying,
    [bbe]  Now after the death of Moses, the servant of the Lord, the word of the Lord came to Joshua, the son of Nun, Moses' helper, saying,
1:2 [hgb]  我 的 仆 人 摩 西 死 了 。 现 在 你 要 起 来 ， 和 众 百 姓 过 这 约 旦 河 ， 往 我 所 要 赐 给 以 色 列 人 的 地 去 。 
    [kjv]  Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
    [bbe]  Moses my servant is dead; so now get up! Go over Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, to the children of Israel.
1:3 [hgb]  凡 你 们 脚 掌 所 踏 之 地 ， 我 都 照 着 我 所 应 许 摩 西 的 话 赐 给 你 们 了 。 
    [kjv]  Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
    [bbe]  Every place on which you put your foot I have given to you, as I said to Moses.
1:4 [hgb]  从 旷 野 ， 和 这 利 巴 嫩 ， 直 到 伯 拉 大 河 。 赫 人 的 全 地 。 又 到 大 海 日 落 之 处 。 都 要 作 你 们 的 境 界 。 
    [kjv]  From the wilderness² and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
    [bbe]  From the waste land and this mountain Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, and all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea, in the west, will be your country.
1:5 [hgb]  你 平 生 的 日 子 ， 必 无 一 人 能 在 你 面 前 站 立 得 住 。 我 怎 样 与 摩 西 同 在 ， 也 必 照 样 与 你 同 在 。 我 必 不 撇 下 你 ， 也 不 丢 弃 你 。 
    [kjv]  There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake³ thee.
    [bbe]  While you are living, all will give way before you: as I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not take away my help from you or give you up.
1:6 [hgb]  你 当 刚 强 壮 胆 。 因 为 你 必 使 这 百 姓 承 受 那 地 为 业 ， 就 是 我 向 他 们 列 祖 起 誓 应 许 赐 给 他 们 的 地 。 
    [kjv]  Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
    [bbe]  Take heart and be strong; for you will give to this people for their heritage the land which I gave by an oath to their fathers.
1:7 [hgb]  只 要 刚 强 ， 大 大 壮 胆 ， 谨 守 遵 行 我 仆 人 摩 西 所 吩 咐 你 的 一 切 律 法 ， 不 可 偏 离 左 右 ， 使 你 无 论 往 哪 里 去 ， 都 可 以 顺 利 。 
    [kjv]  Only be thou strong and very courageous⁴, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper⁵ whithersoever thou goest.
    [bbe]  Only take heart and be very strong; take care to do all the law which Moses my servant gave you, not turning from it to the right hand or to the left, so that you may do well in all your undertakings⁶.
1:8 [hgb]  这 律 法 书 不 可 离 开 你 的 口 ， 总 要 昼 夜 思 想 ， 好 使 你 谨 守 遵 行 这 书 上 所 写 的 一 切 话 。 如 此 ， 你 的 道 路 就 可 以 亨 通 ， 凡 事 顺 利 。 
    [kjv]  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate⁷ therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
    [bbe]  Let this book of the law be ever on your lips and in your thoughts day and night, so that you may keep with care everything in it; then a blessing⁸ will be on all your way, and you will do well.
1:9 [hgb]  我 岂 没 有 吩 咐 你 吗 ？ 你 当 刚 强 壮 胆 。 不 要 惧 怕 ， 也 不 要 惊 惶 。 因 为 你 无 论 往 哪 里 去 ， 耶 和 华 你 的 神 必 与 你 同 在 。 
    [kjv]  Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
    [bbe]  Have I not given you your orders? Take heart and be strong; have no fear and do not be troubled; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go,
1:10 [hgb]  于 是 ， 约 书 亚 吩 咐 百 姓 的 官 长 说 ， 
    [kjv]  Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
    [bbe]  Then Joshua gave their orders to those who were in authority over the people, saying,
1:11 [hgb]  你 们 要 走 遍 营 中 ， 吩 咐 百 姓 说 ， 当 预 备 食 物 。 因 为 三 日 之 内 你 们 要 过 这 约 旦 河 ， 进 去 得 耶 和 华 你 们 神 赐 你 们 为 业 之 地 。 
    [kjv]  Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals⁹; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.
    [bbe]  Go through the tents and give orders to the people, saying, Get ready a store of food; for in three days you are to go over this river Jordan and take for your heritage the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
1:12 [hgb]  约 书 亚 对 流 便 人 ， 迦 得 人 ， 和 玛 拿 西 半 支 派 的 人 说 ， 
    [kjv]  And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying,
    [bbe]  And to the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joshua said,
1:13 [hgb]  你 们 要 追 念 耶 和 华 的 仆 人 摩 西 所 吩 咐 你 们 的 话 说 ， 耶 和 华 你 们 的 神 使 你 们 得 享 平 安 ， 也 必 将 这 地 赐 给 你 们 。 
    [kjv]  Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.
    [bbe]  Keep in mind what Moses, the servant of the Lord, said to you, The Lord your God is sending you rest and will give you this land.
1:14 [hgb]  你 们 的 妻 子 ， 孩 子 ， 和 牲 畜 都 可 以 留 在 约 旦 河 东 ， 摩 西 所 给 你 们 的 地 。 但 你 们 中 间 一 切 大 能 的 勇 士 都 要 带 着 兵 器 在 你 们 的 弟 兄 前 面 过 去 ， 帮 助 他 们 ， 
    [kjv]  Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty¹⁰ men of valour, and help them;
    [bbe]  Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle will be kept here in the land which Moses gave you on this side of Jordan; but you, the fighting-men, are to go over before your brothers, armed, to give them help;
1:15 [hgb]  等 到 耶 和 华 使 你 们 的 弟 兄 象 你 们 一 样 得 享 平 安 ， 并 且 得 着 耶 和 华 你 们 神 所 赐 他 们 为 业 之 地 ， 那 时 才 可 以 回 你 们 所 得 之 地 ， 承 受 为 业 ， 就 是 耶 和 华 的 仆 人 摩 西 在 约 旦 河 东 ， 向 日 出 之 地 所 给 你 们 的 。 
    [kjv]  Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed¹¹ the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD's servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.
    [bbe]  Till the Lord has given your brothers rest, as he has given it to you, and they have taken their heritage in the land which the Lord your God is giving them: then you will go back to the land of your heritage which Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you on the east side of Jordan.
1:16 [hgb]  他 们 回 答 约 书 亚 说 ， 你 所 吩 咐 我 们 行 的 ， 我 们 都 必 行 。 你 所 差 遣 我 们 去 的 ， 我 们 都 必 去 。 
    [kjv]  And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.
    [bbe]  Then they said to Joshua in answer, Whatever you say to us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.
1:17 [hgb]  我 们 从 前 在 一 切 事 上 怎 样 听 从 摩 西 ， 现 在 也 必 照 样 听 从 你 。 惟 愿 耶 和 华 你 的 神 与 你 同 在 ， 像 与 摩 西 同 在 一 样 。 
    [kjv]  According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.
    [bbe]  As we gave attention to Moses in all things, so we will give attention to you: and may the Lord your God be with you as he was with Moses.
1:18 [hgb]  无 论 什 么 人 违 背 你 的 命 令 ， 不 听 从 你 所 吩 咐 他 的 一 切 话 ， 就 必 治 死 他 。 你 只 要 刚 强 壮 胆 。 
    [kjv]  Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.
    [bbe]  Whoever goes against your orders, and does not give attention to all your words, will be put to death: only take heart and be strong.

1 nun   

n.修女，尼姑

2 wilderness   

n.杳无人烟的一片陆地、水等，荒漠

3 forsake   

vt.遗弃，抛弃；舍弃，放弃

4 courageous   

adj.勇敢的，有胆量的

5 prosper   

v.成功，兴隆，昌盛；使成功，使昌隆，繁荣

6 undertakings   

企业( undertaking的名词复数 )； 保证； 殡仪业； 任务

• Such undertakings require the precise planning and foresight of military operations. 此举要求军事上战役中所需要的准确布置和预见。

7 meditate   

v.想，考虑，（尤指宗教上的）沉思，冥想

8 blessing   

n.祈神赐福；祷告；祝福，祝愿

参考例句：

• The blessing was said in Hebrew.祷告用了希伯来语。
• A double blessing has descended upon the house.双喜临门。

9 victuals   

n.食物；食品

参考例句：

• A plateful of coarse broken victuals was set before him.一盘粗劣的剩余饭食放到了他的面前。

10 mighty   

adj.强有力的；巨大的

• A mighty force was about to break loose.一股巨大的力量即将迸发而出。

11 possessed   

adj.疯狂的；拥有的，占有的
