Chapter 10

10:1 [hgb]  亚 比 米 勒 以 后 ， 有 以 萨 迦 人 朵 多 的 孙 子 ， 普 瓦 的 儿 子 陀 拉 兴 起 ， 拯 救 以 色 列 人 。 他 住 在 以 法 莲 山 地 的 沙 密 。 
    [kjv]  And after Abimelech there arose to defend Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in mount Ephraim.
    [bbe]  Now after Abimelech, Tola, the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar, became the saviour¹ of Israel; he was living in Shamir in the hill-country of Ephraim.
10:2 [hgb]  陀 拉 作 以 色 列 的 士 师 二 十 三 年 ， 就 死 了 ， 葬 在 沙 密 。 
    [kjv]  And he judged Israel twenty and three years, and died, and was buried in Shamir.
    [bbe]  He was judge over Israel for twenty-three years; and at his death his body was put to rest in the earth in Shamir.
10:3 [hgb]  在 他 以 后 有 基 列 人 睚 珥 兴 起 ， 作 以 色 列 的 士 师 二 十 二 年 。 
    [kjv]  And after him arose Jair, a Gileadite, and judged Israel twenty and two years.
    [bbe]  And after him came Jair the Gileadite, who was judge over Israel for twenty-two years.
10:4 [hgb]  他 有 三 十 个 儿 子 ， 骑 着 三 十 匹 驴 驹 。 他 们 有 三 十 座 城 邑 ， 叫 作 哈 倭 特 睚 珥 ， 直 到 如 今 ， 都 是 在 基 列 地 。 
    [kjv]  And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass² colts, and they had thirty cities, which are called Havothjair unto this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
    [bbe]  And he had thirty sons, who went on thirty young asses³; and they had thirty towns in the land of Gilead, which are named Havvoth-Jair to this day.
10:5 [hgb]  睚 珥 死 了 ， 就 葬 在 加 们 。 
    [kjv]  And Jair died, and was buried in Camon.
    [bbe]  And at the death of Jair his body was put to rest in the earth in Kamon.
10:6 [hgb]  以 色 列 人 又 行 耶 和 华 眼 中 看 为 恶 的 事 ， 去 事 奉 诸 巴 力 和 亚 斯 他 录 ， 并 亚 兰 的 神 ， 西 顿 的 神 ， 摩 押 的 神 ， 亚 扪 人 的 神 ， 非 利 士 人 的 神 ， 离 弃 耶 和 华 ， 不 事 奉 他 
    [kjv]  And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines⁴, and forsook⁵ the LORD, and served not him.
    [bbe]  And again the children of Israel did evil in the eyes of the Lord, worshipping the Baals and Astartes, and the gods of Aram and the gods of Zidon and the gods of Moab and the gods of the children of Ammon and the gods of the Philistines; they gave up the Lord and were servants to him no longer.
10:7 [hgb]  耶 和 华 的 怒 气 向 以 色 列 人 发 作 ， 就 把 他 们 交 在 非 利 士 人 和 亚 扪 人 的 手 中 。 
    [kjv]  And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
    [bbe]  And the wrath⁶ of the Lord was burning against Israel, and he gave them up into the hands of the Philistines and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
10:8 [hgb]  从 那 年 起 ， 他 们 扰 害 欺 压 约 旦 河 那 边 ， 住 亚 摩 利 人 之 基 列 地 的 以 色 列 人 ， 共 有 十 八 年 。 
    [kjv]  And that year they vexed⁷ and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
    [bbe]  And that year the children of Israel were crushed under their yoke⁸; for eighteen years all the children of Israel on the other side of Jordan, in the land of the Amorites which is in Gilead, were cruelly crushed down.
10:9 [hgb]  亚 扪 人 又 渡 过 约 旦 河 去 攻 打 犹 大 和 便 雅 悯 ， 并 以 法 莲 族 。 以 色 列 人 就 甚 觉 窘 迫 。 
    [kjv]  Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed⁹.
    [bbe]  And the children of Ammon went over Jordan, to make war against Judah and Benjamin and the house of Ephraim; and Israel was in great trouble.
10:10 [hgb]  以 色 列 人 哀 求 耶 和 华 说 ， 我 们 得 罪 了 你 。 因 为 离 弃 了 我 们 神 ， 去 事 奉 诸 巴 力 。 
    [kjv]  And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken¹⁰ our God, and also served Baalim.
    [bbe]  Then the children of Israel, crying out to the Lord, said, Great is our sin against you, for we have given up our God and have been servants to the Baals.
10:11 [hgb]  耶 和 华 对 以 色 列 人 说 ， 我 岂 没 有 救 过 你 们 脱 离 埃 及 人 ， 亚 摩 利 人 ， 亚 扪 人 ， 和 非 利 士 人 吗 ？ 
    [kjv]  And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?
    [bbe]  And the Lord said to the children of Israel, Were not the Egyptians and the Amorites and the children of Ammon and the Philistines
10:12 [hgb]  西 顿 人 ， 亚 玛 力 人 ， 马 云 人 也 都 欺 压 你 们 。 你 们 哀 求 我 ， 我 也 拯 救 你 们 脱 离 他 们 的 手 。 
    [kjv]  The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.
    [bbe]  And the Zidonians and Amalek and Midian crushing you down, and in answer to your cry did I not give you salvation¹¹ from their hands?
10:13 [hgb]  你 们 竟 离 弃 我 ， 事 奉 别 神 。 所 以 我 不 再 救 你 们 了 。 
    [kjv]  Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.
    [bbe]  But, for all this, you have given me up and have been servants to other gods: so I will be your saviour no longer.
10:14 [hgb]  你 们 去 哀 求 所 选 择 的 神 。 你 们 遭 遇 急 难 的 时 候 ， 让 他 救 你 们 吧 。 
    [kjv]  Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation¹².
    [bbe]  Go, send up your cry for help to the gods of your selection; let them be your saviours¹³ in the time of your trouble.
10:15 [hgb]  以 色 列 人 对 耶 和 华 说 ， 我 们 犯 罪 了 ， 任 凭 你 随 意 待 我 们 吧 。 只 求 你 今 日 拯 救 我 们 。 
    [kjv]  And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever¹⁴ seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.
    [bbe]  And the children of Israel said to the Lord, We are sinners; do to us whatever seems good to you: only give us salvation this day.
10:16 [hgb]  以 色 列 人 就 除 掉 他 们 中 间 的 外 邦 神 ， 事 奉 耶 和 华 。 耶 和 华 因 以 色 列 人 受 的 苦 难 ， 就 心 中 担 忧 。 
    [kjv]  And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery¹⁵ of Israel.
    [bbe]  So they put away the strange gods from among them, and became the Lord's servants; and his soul was angry because of the sorrows of Israel.
10:17 [hgb]  当 时 亚 扪 人 聚 集 ， 安 营 在 基 列 。 以 色 列 人 也 聚 集 ， 安 营 在 米 斯 巴 。 
    [kjv]  Then the children of Ammon were gathered together, and encamped in Gilead. And the children of Israel assembled themselves together, and encamped in Mizpeh.
    [bbe]  Then the children of Ammon came together and put their army in position in Gilead. And the children of Israel came together and put their army in position in Mizpah.
10:18 [hgb]  基 列 的 民 和 众 首 领 彼 此 商 议 说 ， 谁 能 先 去 攻 打 亚 扪 人 ， 谁 必 作 基 列 一 切 居 民 的 领 袖 。 
    [kjv]  And the people and princes of Gilead said one to another, What man is he that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.
    [bbe]  And the people of Israel said to one another, Who will be the first to make an attack on the children of Ammon? We will make him head over all Gilead.

1 saviour
