23:1 [hgb]  撒 拉 享 寿 一 百 二 十 七 岁 , 这 是 撒 拉 一 生 的 岁 数 。 
    [kjv]  And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of the life of Sarah.
    [bbe]  Now the years of Sarah's life were a hundred and twenty-seven.
23:2 [hgb]  撒 拉 死 在 迦 南 地 的 基 列 亚 巴 , 就 是 希 伯 仑 。 亚 伯 拉 罕 为 她 哀 恸 哭 号 。 
    [kjv]  And Sarah died in Kirjatharba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.
    [bbe]  And Sarah's death took place in Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron, in the land of Canaan: and Abraham went into his house, weeping and sorrowing for Sarah.
23:3 [hgb]  后 来 亚 伯 拉 罕 从 死 人 面 前 起 来 , 对 赫 人 说 , 
    [kjv]  And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying,
    [bbe]  And Abraham came from his dead and said to the children of Heth,
23:4 [hgb]  我 在 你 们 中 间 是 外 人 , 是 寄 居 的 。 求 你 们 在 这 里 给 我 一 块 地 , 我 好 埋 葬 我 的 死 人 , 使 她 不 在 我 眼 前 。 
    [kjv]  I am a stranger and a sojourner1 with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.
    [bbe]  I am living among you as one from a strange country: give me some land here as my property, so that I may put my dead to rest.
23:5 [hgb]  赫 人 回 答 亚 伯 拉 罕 说 , 
    [kjv]  And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him,
    [bbe]  And in answer the children of Heth said to Abraham,
23:6 [hgb]  我 主 请 听 。 你 在 我 们 中 间 是 一 位 尊 大 的 王 子 , 只 管 在 我 们 最 好 的 坟 地 里 埋 葬 你 的 死 人 。 我 们 没 有 一 人 不 容 你 在 他 的 坟 地 里 埋 葬 你 的 死 人 。 
    [kjv]  Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty2 prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold3 from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.
    [bbe]  My lord, truly you are a great chief among us; take the best of our resting-places for your dead; not one of us will keep back from you a place where you may put your dead to rest.
23:7 [hgb]  亚 伯 拉 罕 就 起 来 , 向 那 地 的 赫 人 下 拜 , 
    [kjv]  And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.
    [bbe]  And Abraham got up and gave honour to the children of Heth, the people of that land.
23:8 [hgb]  对 他 们 说 , 你 们 若 有 意 叫 我 埋 葬 我 的 死 人 , 使 她 不 在 我 眼 前 , 就 请 听 我 的 话 , 为 我 求 琐 辖 的 儿 子 以 弗 仑 , 
    [kjv]  And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,
    [bbe]  And he said to them, If you will let me put my dead to rest here, make a request for me to Ephron, the son of Zohar,
23:9 [hgb]  把 田 头 上 那 麦 比 拉 洞 给 我 。 他 可 以 按 着 足 价 卖 给 我 , 作 我 在 你 们 中 间 的 坟 地 。 
    [kjv]  That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you.
    [bbe]  That he will give me the hollow in the rock named Machpelah, which is his property at the end of his field; let him give it to me for its full price as a resting-place for my dead among you.
23:10 [hgb]  当 时 以 弗 仑 正 坐 在 赫 人 中 间 。 于 是 , 赫 人 以 弗 仑 在 城 门 出 入 的 赫 人 面 前 对 亚 伯 拉 罕 说 , 
    [kjv]  And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,
    [bbe]  Now Ephron was seated among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite gave Abraham his answer in the hearing of the children of Heth, and of all those who came into his town, saying,
23:11 [hgb]  不 然 , 我 主 请 听 。 我 送 给 你 这 块 田 , 连 田 间 的 洞 也 送 给 你 , 在 我 同 族 的 人 面 前 都 给 你 , 可 以 埋 葬 你 的 死 人 。 
    [kjv]  Nay4, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.
    [bbe]  No, my lord, I will give you the field with the hollow in the rock; before all the children of my people will I give it to you for a resting-place for your dead.
23:12 [hgb]  亚 伯 拉 罕 就 在 那 地 的 人 民 面 前 下 拜 , 
    [kjv]  And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land.
    [bbe]  And Abraham went down on his face before the people of the land.
23:13 [hgb]  在 他 们 面 前 对 以 弗 仑 说 , 你 若 应 允 , 请 听 我 的 话 。 我 要 把 田 价 给 你 , 求 你 收 下 , 我 就 在 那 里 埋 葬 我 的 死 人 。 
    [kjv]  And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt5 give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.
    [bbe]  And Abraham said to Ephron, in the hearing of the people of the land, If only you will give ear to me, I will give you the price of the field; take it, and let me put my dead to rest there.
23:14 [hgb]  以 弗 仑 回 答 亚 伯 拉 罕 说 , 
    [kjv]  And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,
    [bbe]  So Ephron said to Abraham,
23:15 [hgb]  我 主 请 听 。 值 四 百 舍 客 勒 银 子 的 一 块 田 , 在 你 我 中 间 还 算 什 么 呢 ? 只 管 埋 葬 你 的 死 人 吧 。 
    [kjv]  My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.
    [bbe]  My lord, give ear to me: the value of the land is four hundred shekels; what is that between me and you? so put your dead to rest there.
23:16 [hgb]  亚 伯 拉 罕 听 从 了 以 弗 仑 , 照 着 他 在 赫 人 面 前 所 说 的 话 , 把 买 卖 通 用 的 银 子 平 了 四 百 舍 客 勒 给 以 弗 仑 。 
    [kjv]  And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.
    [bbe]  And Abraham took note of the price fixed6 by Ephron in the hearing of the children of Heth, and gave him four hundred shekels in current money.
23:17 [hgb]  于 是 , 麦 比 拉 , 幔 利 前 , 以 弗 仑 的 那 块 田 和 其 中 的 洞 , 并 田 间 四 围 的 树 木 , 
    [kjv]  And the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure
    [bbe]  So Ephron's field at Machpelah near Mamre, with the hollow in the rock and all the trees in the field and round it,
23:18 [hgb]  都 定 准 归 与 亚 伯 拉 罕 , 乃 是 他 在 赫 人 面 前 并 城 门 出 入 的 人 面 前 买 妥 的 。 
    [kjv]  Unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all that went in at the gate of his city.
    [bbe]  Became the property of Abraham before the eyes of the children of Heth and of all who came into the town.
23:19 [hgb]  此 后 , 亚 伯 拉 罕 把 他 妻 子 撒 拉 埋 葬 在 迦 南 地 幔 利 前 的 麦 比 拉 田 间 的 洞 里 。 幔 利 就 是 希 伯 仑 。 
    [kjv]  And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.
    [bbe]  Then Abraham put Sarah his wife to rest in the hollow rock in the field of Machpelah near Mamre, that is, Hebron in the land of Canaan.
23:20 [hgb]  从 此 , 那 块 田 和 田 间 的 洞 就 借 着 赫 人 定 准 归 与 亚 伯 拉 罕 作 坟 地 。 
    [kjv]  And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth.
    [bbe]  And the field and the hollow rock were handed over to Abraham as his property by the children of Heth.
