9:1 [hgb]  但 那 受 过 痛 苦 的 , 必 不 再 见 幽 暗 。 从 前 神 使 西 布 伦 地 , 和 拿 弗 他 利 地 被 藐 视 。 末 后 却 使 这 沿 海 的 路 , 约 旦 河 外 , 外 邦 人 的 加 利 利 地 , 得 着 荣 耀 。
    [kjv]  Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted1 the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward3 did more grievously afflict2 her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
    [bbe]  In earlier times he made the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali of small value, but after that he gave it glory, by the way of the sea, on the other side of Jordan, Galilee of the nations.
9:2 [hgb]  在 黑 暗 中 行 走 的 百 姓 , 看 见 了 大 光 。 住 在 死 荫 之 地 的 人 , 有 光 照 耀 他 们 。
    [kjv]  The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
    [bbe]  The people who went in the dark have seen a great light, and for those who were living in the land of the deepest night, the light is shining.
9:3 [hgb]  你 使 这 国 民 繁 多 , 加 增 他 们 的 喜 乐 。 他 们 在 你 面 前 欢 喜 , 好 像 收 割 的 欢 喜 , 像 人 分 掳 物 那 样 的 快 乐 。
    [kjv]  Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
    [bbe]  You have made them very glad, increasing their joy. They are glad before you as men are glad in the time of getting in the grain, or when they make division of the goods taken in war.
9:4 [hgb]  因 为 他 们 所 负 的 重 轭 , 和 肩 头 上 的 杖 , 并 欺 压 他 们 人 的 棍 , 你 都 已 经 折 断 , 好 像 在 米 甸 的 日 子 一 样 。
    [kjv]  For thou hast broken the yoke4 of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
    [bbe]  For by your hand the yoke on his neck and the rod on his back, even the rod of his cruel master, have been broken, as in the day of Midian.
9:5 [hgb]  战 士 在 乱 杀 之 间 所 穿 戴 的 盔 甲 , 并 那 滚 在 血 中 的 衣 服 , 都 必 作 为 可 烧 的 , 当 作 火 柴 。
    [kjv]  For every battle of the warrior5 is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
    [bbe]  For every boot of the man of war with his sounding step, and the clothing rolled in blood, will be for burning, food for the fire.
9:6 [hgb]  因 有 一 婴 孩 为 我 们 而 生 , 有 一 子 赐 给 我 们 。 政 权 必 担 在 他 的 肩 头 上 。 他 名 称 为 奇 妙 , 策 士 , 全 能 的 神 , 永 在 的 父 , 和 平 的 君 。
    [kjv]  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty6 God, The everlasting7 Father, The Prince of Peace.
    [bbe]  For to us a child has come, to us a son is given; and the government has been placed in his hands; and he has been named Wise Guide, Strong God, Father for ever, Prince of Peace.
9:7 [hgb]  他 的 政 权 与 平 安 必 加 增 无 穷 。 他 必 在 大 卫 的 宝 座 上 , 治 理 他 的 国 , 以 公 平 公 义 使 国 坚 定 稳 固 , 从 今 直 到 永 远 。 万 军 之 耶 和 华 的 热 心 , 必 成 就 这 事 。
    [kjv]  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment8 and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal9 of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
    [bbe]  Of the increase of his rule and of peace there will be no end, on the seat of David, and in his kingdom; to make it strong, supporting it with wise decision and righteousness, now and for ever. By the fixed10 purpose of the Lord of armies this will be done.
9:8 [hgb]  主 使 一 言 入 于 雅 各 家 , 落 于 以 色 列 家 。
    [kjv]  The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
    [bbe]  The Lord has sent a word to Jacob, and it has come on Israel;
9:9 [hgb]  这 众 百 姓 , 就 是 以 法 莲 和 撒 玛 利 亚 的 居 民 , 都 要 知 道 。 他 们 凭 骄 傲 自 大 的 心 说 ,
    [kjv]  And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness11 of heart,
    [bbe]  And all the people will have experience of it, even Ephraim and the men of Samaria, who say in the pride of their uplifted hearts,
9:10 [hgb]  砖 墙 塌 了 , 我 们 却 要 凿 石 头 建 筑 , 桑 树 砍 了 , 我 们 却 要 换 香 柏 树 。
    [kjv]  The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars12.
    [bbe]  The bricks have come down, but we will put up buildings of cut stone in their place: the sycamores are cut down, but they will be changed to cedars.
9:11 [hgb]  因 此 , 耶 和 华 要 高 举 利 汛 的 敌 人 , 来 攻 击 以 色 列 , 并 要 激 动 以 色 列 的 仇 敌 ,
    [kjv]  Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries13 of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;
    [bbe]  For this cause the Lord has made strong the haters of Israel, driving them on to make war against him;
9:12 [hgb]  东 有 亚 兰 人 , 西 有 非 利 士 人 。 他 们 张 口 要 吞 吃 以 色 列 。 虽 然 如 此 , 耶 和 华 的 怒 气 还 未 转 消 , 他 的 手 仍 伸 不 缩 。
    [kjv]  The Syrians before, and the Philistines14 behind; and they shall devour15 Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
    [bbe]  Aram on the east, and the Philistines on the west, who have come against Israel with open mouths. For all this his wrath16 is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
9:13 [hgb]  这 百 姓 还 没 有 归 向 击 打 他 们 的 主 , 也 没 有 寻 求 万 军 之 耶 和 华 。
    [kjv]  For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.
    [bbe]  But the heart of the people was not turned to him who sent punishment on them, and they made no prayer to the Lord of armies.
9:14 [hgb]  因 此 , 耶 和 华 一 日 之 间 , 必 从 以 色 列 中 剪 除 头 与 尾 , 棕 枝 与 芦 苇 。
    [kjv]  Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
    [bbe]  For this cause the Lord took away from Israel head and tail, high and low, in one day.
9:15 [hgb]  长 老 和 尊 贵 人 , 就 是 头 。 以 谎 言 教 人 的 先 知 , 就 是 尾 。
    [kjv]  The ancient and honourable17, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
    [bbe]  The man who is honoured and responsible is the head, and the prophet who gives false teaching is the tail.
9:16 [hgb]  因 为 引 导 这 百 姓 的 , 使 他 们 走 错 了 路 。 被 引 导 的 , 都 必 败 亡 。
    [kjv]  For the leaders of this people cause them to err18; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
    [bbe]  For the guides of this people are the cause of their wandering from the right way, and those who are guided by them come to destruction.
9:17 [hgb]  所 以 主 必 不 喜 悦 他 们 的 少 年 人 , 也 不 怜 恤 他 们 的 孤 儿 寡 妇 。 因 为 各 人 是 亵 渎 的 , 是 行 恶 的 , 并 且 各 人 的 口 , 都 说 愚 妄 的 话 。 虽 然 如 此 , 耶 和 华 的 怒 气 还 未 转 消 , 他 的 手 仍 伸 不 缩 。
    [kjv]  Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly19. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
    [bbe]  For this cause the Lord will have no pleasure in their young men, and no pity on their widows and the children without fathers: for they are all haters of God and evil-doers, and foolish words come from every mouth. For all this his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
9:18 [hgb]  邪 恶 像 火 焚 烧 , 烧 灭 荆 棘 和 蒺 藜 。 在 稠 密 的 树 林 中 着 起 来 , 就 成 为 烟 柱 , 旋 转 上 腾 。
    [kjv]  For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle20 in the thickets21 of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.
    [bbe]  For evil was burning like a fire; the blackberries and thorns were burned up; the thick woods took fire, rolling up in dark clouds of smoke.
9:19 [hgb]  因 万 军 之 耶 和 华 的 烈 怒 , 地 都 烧 遍 。 百 姓 成 为 火 柴 , 无 人 怜 爱 弟 兄 。
    [kjv]  Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.
    [bbe]  The land was dark with the wrath of the Lord of armies: the people were like those who take men's flesh for food.
9:20 [hgb]  有 人 右 边 抢 夺 , 仍 受 饥 饿 。 左 边 吞 吃 , 仍 不 饱 足 。 各 人 吃 自 己 膀 臂 上 的 肉 。
    [kjv]  And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
    [bbe]  On the right a man was cutting off bits and was still in need; on the left a man took a meal but had not enough; no man had pity on his brother; every man was making a meal of the flesh of his neighbour.
9:21 [hgb]  玛 拿 西 吞 吃 ( 或 作 攻 击 下 同 ) 以 法 莲 , 以 法 莲 吞 吃 玛 拿 西 。 又 一 同 攻 击 犹 大 。 虽 然 如 此 , 耶 和 华 的 怒 气 还 未 转 消 , 他 的 手 仍 伸 不 缩 。
    [kjv]  Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
    [bbe]  Manasseh was making a meal of Ephraim, and Ephraim of Manasseh; and together they were attacking Judah. For all this his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
