Chapter 24

24:1 [hgb]  巴 比 伦 王 尼 布 甲 尼 撒 将 犹 大 王 约 雅 敬 的 儿 子 耶 哥 尼 雅 和 犹 大 的 首 领 ， 并 工 匠 ， 铁 匠 从 耶 路 撒 冷 掳 去 ， 带 到 巴 比 伦 。 这 事 以 后 ， 耶 和 华 指 给 我 看 ， 有 两 筐 无 花 果 放 在 耶 和 华 的 殿 前 。 
    [kjv]  The LORD shewed me, and, behold¹, two baskets of figs² were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
    [bbe]  The Lord gave me a vision, and I saw two baskets full of figs put in front of the Temple of the Lord, after Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, had taken prisoner Jeconiah, the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the chiefs of Judah, and the expert workmen and metal-workers from Jerusalem, and had taken them to Babylon.
24:2 [hgb]  一 筐 是 极 好 的 无 花 果 ， 好 像 是 初 熟 的 。 一 筐 是 极 坏 的 无 花 果 ， 坏 得 不 可 吃 。 
    [kjv]  One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
    [bbe]  One basket had very good figs, like the figs which first come to growth: and the other basket had very bad figs, so bad that they were of no use for food.
24:3 [hgb]  于 是 耶 和 华 问 我 说 ， 耶 利 米 你 看 见 什 么 。 我 说 ， 我 看 见 无 花 果 ， 好 的 极 好 ， 坏 的 极 坏 ， 坏 得 不 可 吃 。 
    [kjv]  Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
    [bbe]  Then the Lord said to me, What do you see, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs are very good, and the bad very bad, and of no use for food, they are so bad.
24:4 [hgb]  耶 和 华 的 话 临 到 我 说 ， 
    [kjv]  Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
    [bbe]  And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
24:5 [hgb]  耶 和 华 以 色 列 的 神 如 此 说 ， 被 掳 去 的 犹 大 人 ， 就 是 我 打 发 离 开 这 地 到 迦 勒 底 人 之 地 去 的 ， 我 必 看 顾 他 们 如 这 好 无 花 果 ， 使 他 们 得 好 处 。 
    [kjv]  Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
    [bbe]  This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, has said: Like these good figs, so in my eyes will be the prisoners of Judah, whom I have sent from this place into the land of the Chaldaeans for their good.
24:6 [hgb]  我 要 眷 顾 他 们 ， 使 他 们 得 好 处 ， 领 他 们 归 回 这 地 。 我 也 要 建 立 他 们 ， 必 不 拆 毁 ， 栽 植 他 们 ， 并 不 拔 出 。 
    [kjv]  For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
    [bbe]  For I will keep my eyes on them for good, and I will take them back again to this land, building them up and not pulling them down, planting them and not uprooting³ them.
24:7 [hgb]  我 要 赐 他 们 认 识 我 的 心 ， 知 道 我 是 耶 和 华 。 他 们 要 作 我 的 子 民 ， 我 要 作 他 们 的 神 ， 因 为 他 们 要 一 心 归 向 我 。 
    [kjv]  And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
    [bbe]  And I will give them a heart to have knowledge of me, that I am the Lord: and they will be my people, and I will be their God: for they will come back to me with all their heart.
24:8 [hgb]  耶 和 华 如 此 说 ， 我 必 将 犹 大 王 西 底 家 和 他 的 首 领 ， 以 及 剩 在 这 地 耶 路 撒 冷 的 余 民 ， 并 住 在 埃 及 地 的 犹 大 人 都 交 出 来 ， 好 像 那 极 坏 ， 坏 得 不 可 吃 的 无 花 果 。 
    [kjv]  And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue⁴ of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
    [bbe]  And like the bad figs which are so bad that they are of no use for food, so I will give up Zedekiah, king of Judah, and his chiefs and the rest of Jerusalem who are still in this land, and those who are in the land of Egypt:
24:9 [hgb]  我 必 使 他 们 交 出 来 ， 在 天 下 万 国 中 抛 来 抛 去 ， 遭 遇 灾 祸 。 在 我 赶 逐 他 们 到 的 各 处 成 为 凌 辱 ， 笑 谈 ， 讥 刺 ， 咒 诅 。 
    [kjv]  And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt⁵ and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.
    [bbe]  I will give them up to be a cause of fear and of trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth; to be a name of shame and common talk and a cutting word and a curse in all the places wherever I will send them wandering.
24:10 [hgb]  我 必 使 刀 剑 ， 饥 荒 ， 瘟 疫 临 到 他 们 ， 直 到 他 们 从 我 所 赐 给 他 们 和 他 们 列 祖 之 地 灭 绝 。 
    [kjv]  And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence⁶, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.
    [bbe]  And I will send the sword, and need of food, and disease, among them till they are all cut off from the land which I gave to them and to their fathers.
