17:1 [hgb]  拿 着 七 碗 的 七 位 天 使 中 , 有 一 位 前 来 对 我 说 , 你 到 这 里 来 , 我 将 坐 在 众 水 上 的 大 淫 妇 所 要 受 的 刑 罚 指 给 你 看 。
    [kjv]  And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment1 of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
    [bbe]  And one of the seven angels who had the seven vessels2 came and said to me, Come here, so that you may see the judging of the evil woman who is seated on the great waters;
17:2 [hgb]  地 上 的 君 王 与 她 行 淫 。 住 在 地 上 的 人 喝 醉 了 她 淫 乱 的 酒 。
    [kjv]  With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
    [bbe]  With whom the kings of the earth made themselves unclean, and those who are on the earth were full of the wine of her evil desires.
17:3 [hgb]  我 被 圣 灵 感 动 , 天 使 带 我 到 旷 野 去 。 我 就 看 见 一 个 女 人 骑 在 朱 红 色 的 兽 上 。 那 兽 有 七 头 十 角 , 遍 体 有 亵 渎 的 名 号 。
    [kjv]  So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness3: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet4 coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy5, having seven heads and ten horns.
    [bbe]  And he took me away in the Spirit into a waste land: and I saw a woman seated on a bright red beast, full of evil names, having seven heads and ten horns,
17:4 [hgb]  那 女 人 穿 着 紫 色 和 朱 红 色 的 衣 服 , 用 金 子 宝 石 珍 珠 为 妆 饰 。 手 拿 金 杯 , 杯 中 盛 满 了 可 憎 之 物 , 就 是 她 淫 乱 的 污 秽 。
    [kjv]  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness6 of her fornication:
    [bbe]  And the woman was clothed in purple and bright red, with ornaments7 of gold and stones of great price and jewels; and in her hand was a gold cup full of evil things and her unclean desires;
17:5 [hgb]  在 她 额 上 有 名 写 着 说 , 奥 秘 哉 , 大 巴 比 伦 , 作 世 上 的 淫 妇 和 一 切 可 憎 之 物 的 母 。
    [kjv]  And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
    [bbe]  And on her brow was a name, SECRET, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE EVIL WOMEN AND OF THE UNCLEAN THINGS OF THE EARTH.
17:6 [hgb]  我 又 看 见 那 女 人 喝 醉 了 圣 徒 的 血 , 和 为 耶 稣 作 见 证 之 人 的 血 。 我 看 见 她 , 就 大 大 地 希 奇 。
    [kjv]  And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs8 of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration9.
    [bbe]  And I saw the woman overcome as with the wine of the blood of the saints, and the blood of those put to death because of Jesus. And when I saw her, I was overcome with a great wonder.
17:7 [hgb]  天 使 对 我 说 , 你 为 什 么 希 奇 呢 ? 我 要 将 这 女 人 和 驮 着 她 的 那 七 头 十 角 兽 的 奥 秘 告 诉 你 。
    [kjv]  And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel10? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
    [bbe]  And the angel said to me, Why were you surprised? I will make clear to you the secret of the woman, and of the beast on which she is seated, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.
17:8 [hgb]  你 所 看 见 的 兽 , 先 前 有 , 如 今 没 有 。 将 要 从 无 底 坑 里 上 来 , 又 要 归 于 沉 沦 。 凡 住 在 地 上 名 字 从 创 世 以 来 没 有 记 在 生 命 册 上 的 , 见 先 前 有 , 如 今 没 有 , 以 后 再 有 的 兽 , 就 必 希 奇 。
    [kjv]  The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend11 out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold12 the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
    [bbe]  The beast which you saw was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the great deep, and to go into destruction. And those who are on the earth, whose names have not been put in the book of life from the first, will be full of wonder when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and still will be.
17:9 [hgb]  智 慧 的 心 在 此 可 以 思 想 。 那 七 头 就 是 女 人 所 坐 的 七 座 山 。
    [kjv]  And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
    [bbe]  Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman is seated:
17:10 [hgb]  又 是 七 位 王 。 五 位 已 经 倾 倒 了 , 一 位 还 在 , 一 位 还 没 有 来 到 。 他 来 的 时 候 , 必 须 暂 时 存 留 。
    [kjv]  And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
    [bbe]  And they are seven kings; the five have come to an end, the one is, the other has not come; and when he comes, he will have to go on for a little time.
17:11 [hgb]  那 先 前 有 , 如 今 没 有 的 兽 , 就 是 第 八 位 。 他 也 和 那 七 位 同 列 , 并 且 归 于 沉 沦 。
    [kjv]  And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
    [bbe]  And the beast which was, and is not, is himself the eighth, and is of the seven; and he goes into destruction.
17:12 [hgb]  你 所 看 见 的 那 十 角 , 就 是 十 王 。 他 们 还 没 有 得 国 。 但 他 们 一 时 之 间 , 要 和 兽 同 得 权 柄 与 王 一 样 。
    [kjv]  And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
    [bbe]  And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which still have been given no kingdom; but they are given authority as kings, with the beast, for one hour.
17:13 [hgb]  他 们 同 心 合 意 , 将 自 己 的 能 力 权 柄 给 那 兽 。
    [kjv]  These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
    [bbe]  These have one mind, and they give their power and authority to the beast.
17:14 [hgb]  他 们 与 羔 羊 争 战 , 羔 羊 必 胜 过 他 们 , 因 为 羔 羊 是 万 主 之 主 , 万 王 之 王 。 同 着 羔 羊 的 , 就 是 蒙 召 被 选 有 忠 心 的 , 也 必 得 胜 。
    [kjv]  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
    [bbe]  These will make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because he is the Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with him are named, marked out, and true.
17:15 [hgb]  天 使 又 对 我 说 , 你 所 看 见 那 淫 妇 坐 的 众 水 , 就 是 多 民 多 人 多 国 多 方 。
    [kjv]  And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
    [bbe]  And he said to me, The waters which you saw, where the evil woman is seated, are peoples, and armies, and nations and languages.
17:16 [hgb]  你 所 看 见 的 那 十 角 , 与 兽 , 必 恨 这 淫 妇 , 使 她 冷 落 赤 身 。 又 要 吃 她 的 肉 , 用 火 将 她 烧 尽 。
    [kjv]  And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate13 and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
    [bbe]  And the ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will be turned against the evil woman, and will make her waste and uncovered, and will take her flesh for food, and will have her burned with fire.
17:17 [hgb]  因 为 神 使 诸 王 同 心 合 意 , 遵 行 他 的 旨 意 , 把 自 己 的 国 给 那 兽 , 直 等 到 神 的 话 都 应 验 了 。
    [kjv]  For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
    [bbe]  Because God has put it in their hearts to do his purpose, and to be of one mind, giving their kingdom to the beast, till the words of God have effect and are complete.
17:18 [hgb]  你 所 看 见 的 那 女 人 , 就 是 管 辖 地 上 众 王 的 大 城 。
    [kjv]  And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
    [bbe]  And the woman whom you saw is the great town, which is ruling over the kings of the earth.
